We lost to a bunch of teams nobody’s ever heard of on our road back, I think the most egregious I recall was losing to something called Sidlesham in the Vase. I think they were no better than some Sussex park outfit.

What does that have to do with any southern bias? Fylde, Salford, Harrogate, Gateshead... all up here because of “bankrolling”. Even Barrow spunked a bunch of money trying to get promoted a year or two ago. Not sure geography has anything to do with it.
