Our record at Hartlepool is mixed. In the previous 5 seasons we’ve won twice, drawn twice and lost once (in our title winning season). So the OCD in me can see a draw.

Louis John is a doubt for tomorrow other than him and out for the season Jon Barden we have a full strength squad. Our away record is poor, our win at Harrogate a fortnight ago was only our 3rd away win all season and our first north of the river Thames all season.

That would probably be the slowest Bradford City side of all time!

Similar fixture to FGR away last season. It doesn’t get much slower than our starting XI that day:

Away to Walsall, our third game in a week. After winning our last two, the pressure isn't on as much this week - a draw will be a good result for us here.

We've still got injuries to players, so would expect one or two to be rotated again. Not expecting us to have the same energy levels as Walsall after our midweek trip. Our games with Walsall are usually low scoring - 0-0 and 1-0 either way have been a common scoreline between us down the last 15 years.

Sutton always seem to get something from us, and batter us all over the pitch in the process, so not expecting much.

I’d go with the same team as Donny game apart from Umerah back in for Jennings personally.

Dodds, Sterry and Kemp showed glimpses of linking up well on the right side when we kept the ball on the floor instead of aimlessly launching it forward as usual so hoping for more of the same

Tough tough game at Wimbledon. When I decided to go I didn’t quite realise how tough this one will be till I looked into them.

After last weeks poor result and fairly poor performance against Harrogate, big improvements required to stand a chance against Wimbledon.

Looking at their results, they are a solid team that don’t give anything away, especially at home in recent weeks/months.

We’ll be without Owen Moxon which will be a big blow, don’t quite know who’ll do the creating. I also expect Huntington to be “rested” after a couple of mistakes over the last 2 games, plus there’s one or two more injury doubts. Not what we need in what is already an uphill task. Probably makes it more like an up Everest in a pair of slippers task.

Taking everything into account I just can’t make a case for us getting anything here.

Wimbledon 3-0 Carlisle United

The “blip” continues.
We could do with Dennis being out. Our newbies are still bedding in and Hus Biler is out with a hamstring injury.

I'll be selling programmes in the away end so do say hello and bring cash if you want a programme as our wifi is a bit flakey at the moment.

Reckon it might be a goal bonanza with the Saddlers for once. 1-1.

Yeah? My OCD says you lose surely. Then W2 Rd Rd D2 L2.

Gills have a very tough one at Mansfield. They’ve got injuries, and now it looks like we do too with Hawkins and Nichols both under an injury cloud. Unless NH is playing mind games. I’d take a point right now if offered.
Tough game for us but not necessarily one that we should be massively fearful of. I actually get to attend an away game for once as I can swing it with a visit to the inlaws in Chesterfield as part of the trip.

I'd probably take a point if offered though, keep the unbeaten run going as long as we can while the feeling around the club is positive. Not sure what the line up will be as there are a few knocks in the group, particularly in forward areas - annoying seeing as we've just solved that particular issue.

At a guess:

Morris
McKenzie - Ehmer - Masterson - Tutonda
Williams
Dieng - Jefferies
MacDonald
Hawkins - O'Brien
Turner, Alexander, Wright, Lapslie, O'Keefe, Abrahams, Gbode/Nichols

Looking forward to this one.

I’d go with that. But if Nichols is out I’d play Lapslie against his old side just behind Hawkins. 4-4-1-1 / 4-4-2

Small note. If we have 7 on the bench it would have to include Gbode as the home grown one. Otherwise just 6 allowed.

Up and down really to be honest Barrie. I think early in the season he got concussed in a game which possibly knocked his confidence but recently has had to come into the team and has had a regular run of games. I personally think he has done reasonably well and seems to be growing in confidence. I don't think he's let anyone down and a run of games will do him the world of good for his development.

Dirk Diggler sees more games than me so might be able to provide more feedback.
After a shaky start he's been fine, in fact having 1 or 2 very good games. He's important to the side at the moment as a right sided defender considering the other two central defensive mainstays (Clayton & Blake-Tracey) are left footed

Start of a massive week for us Crawley today, followed by Hartlepool on Tuesday and Harrogate next Saturday. We need wins in this little run, if fail to win any of them, then we're in massive trouble.

Our main problem is we just don't score goals or create chances. We were just about getting by, before we lost probably the best keeper that was playing in this league. He had kept us 12 clean sheets in the first half of the season, now without him, we're not keeping clean sheets and we're not scoring goals, not a good combination and if we don't find a cure we will get relegated.

Crawley 1-1 Crewe (Telford, Nevitt) 2,622 (144 Crewe)

Mixed!? That's a fucking good record, you've had the Indian sign over us since day one.

Strangely I fancy us get something today but fully prepared for disappointment and the inevitable 'ah shite we're heading back to non league' meltdown.

I’d back gillingham to win, we’ve had such ridiculously bad luck with injuries it’s almost funny, think clough stepped under a ladder or something in the summer.

Sadly mansfield have had a relatively poor season to date.

We’ve actually conceded more than gillingham (6 more).

Mansfield games have more goals in them (78 - 41 for and 37 against) than anyone else in the league

Both teams have scored in the last 7 games. we’ve won 2 drawn 2 and lost 2 of the last 6

In short don’t expect a 0-0 or to have a clue what’s going to happen, as i sure as shit don’t!

It’s amazing given how shit some of us have been that the PO spots - and maybe 1 auto place - are easily still up for grabs. Maybe this season we are right - it’s a real shit league.

I have absolutely no idea how we’re 6th, i really really don’t. That the table suggests that there are 18 teams “worse” than us is frankly hilarious

We can’t defend (especially from set pieces) haven’t put any decent run together, look like we will collapse faster than the french army at many stages during games and have spent more of the season with no decent forward due to injury yet are 3rd highest scorers.

Fuck knows what those in the bottom half must be like

Colchester have won four matches away since Christmas, admittedly all to teams lower than them in the table but that's impressive nevertheless. Hopefully we can put a stop to that. We seem to be perennially lodged in 16th place and barring an obscene Crewe goal swing the only way we'll be moving out of that spot is if Colchester beat us.

Confidence is high at Blundell Park following back to back 3-0 wins and a very open and honest fans forum after what was considered a disastrous window at the time.

Paul Hurst has plenty of selection headaches despite Ryan Taylor, Otis Khan and Jordan Cropper still all injured. I'd imagine we'll line up with a back three and wing backs. Will be interesting to see who he plays and who he drops here. It's likely that one of Orsi, Lloyd or McAtee will miss out, two of Hunt, Holohan, Morris, Clifton or Green and one of will miss out Maher, Waterfall, Smith, Efete or Emmanuel will miss out.

I'd go...
GK: Crocombe
RWB: Emmanuel
LWB: Amos
CB: Waterfall
CB: Maher
CB: Efete
CM: Green
CM: Morris
CM: Clifton
FWD: McAtee
FWD: Orsi

Do Sutton still kick lumps out of teams and roll around like fannies or do they play a bit of football these days?

Would fancy our chances more against the latter, we just can't handle any team who deploy the dark arts.

Well, before New Year, in 23 games Gills had only won 2 and scored 7 goals.

We set our own club record of 6 games without a goal early on. Then a couple of months later beat it with another 7 game run without a goal.

That’s how bad we were. Dunno about the other 11 in the bottom half.

I’ve noticed if we do play well it’s usually for one half only just like at Bradford last saturday.

Still kick lumps out of teams. Fewer dark arts but not much football either. My favourite bit about watching them play this season was that the manager has to tell them all individually where to stand at throw-ins (and all set pieces). Wouldn’t expect the ball to be in play much.

I’m not getting too carried away at the moment.
Although we have won three of our last four those wins were Colchester, Hartlepool and Crawley.
Before the takeover I had all but resigned myself to relegation. We were that bad I found myself actually laughing at our performances.
We have now given ourselves some hope so I am now back to the stage of shitting myself every Saturday.
Fuck it, it’s hope that kills you!

Strangs one today we all know the Sutton way, But our last match was like watching a capable team.

Was listening to RadioTess during the week, And the Guys who commentate on our games were
Talking about the Carlisle game. They were talking to thier counterparts up there.

And they said Curle is playing the same football as when he was in charge there.
Untill he brought his own players in and then the football changed and improved
beyond recognition.

Lets hope it continues on this week and beyond.

After picking up just one away point all season until Christmas, we've won four away games on the bounce now. A fifth successive win today would equal a club record, so we're due an away defeat and I'm assuming Grimsby will be buoyed by their two results this week so I'm not holding out much hope.

Moxon has travelled. Simpson said he wouldn't if he wasn't going to be involved.

Don't get me wrong it's a tough game, and I'd not be surprised to see us slip-up here (I've actually backed Wimbledon at 21/20) - but you can't make a case for us getting anything here? We're 3rd in the league, have the division's top scorer, and are 2nd in the form table. How's that?

Think we have 5 out - Lavinier, Shade, Blake-Tracey injured, Khan and Hepburn-Murphy suspended. Bit threadbare. Expecting another 10,000+ crowd being Morris’ first home game in charge.
I thought you guys would be used to manager debuts at the CG by now?

Worked out the other day that in my 55 years of fandom we’ve had 52 managers - although that included a myriad of interim ones.

In one way you’re lucky with Joey - nobody else would touch him!
