Most had you down for a relegation battle. You've had a phenomenal season to be where you are at the moment.

I dont care for all the "look what a great season your having" shit though. We put ourselves in a great position and are throwing away all that good work. Couldn't care less if we were tipped for relegation, that means nothing now. We're the most likely to miss out on top 5 through our shit form and that would make it a wank season in the end. There's too many people happy just to say "we'd have taken this at the start of the season", am I in the wrong for having a different level of targets?

Just can't buy the fact that Paul Hurst is the reason we're 4th. He's signed some good players, is that through his man management prowess? His top tier persuasion skills? Or our pedigree as a club? Maybe the money? The guy frequently makes bonkers decisions and I ain't got a clue what sort of football we're playing and that's not a knee jerk reaction because I've been thinking it for 2 seasons.

The players are carrying him big time, it's becoming more and more obvious imo.

Nobody will deny that. However he has the budget to do that and I think he's the longest serving manager in the promotion race? He should've learned by now, yet he's doing the same things, every single week. Our home performances are fucking dire, that's not been addressed either. He's not willing to change a single thing.

What's the betting LJL is back in the 11 next week? I'd put my house on it. Hurst knows no different and isn't willing to do anything that goes against his ways of doing things.

Mad finish, the last 15 minutes was utterly brilliant, both sides could have easily scored four goals each in that time, tactics and formations out of the window, just end to end. We missed a glorious chance right at the death to nick it in the end.

We were poor in general and it's a lucky point, we've Hurst to thank I suppose, the game changed the second after Palmer went off. No doubt about the penalty either, Hughes was clearly tripped by Robertson.

Pretty sure none of that is what I was saying and I've constantly praised Hurst for winning games but I've also constantly blamed Hurst for losing games. I'm pretty sure I can't be fickle when my opinion hasn't changed at any point, Hurst should've gone last season and I'll gladly stand by that point if we win the playoffs.

He's right though, Hurst is one of the most tactically inept managers we've ever had. He's got one way of doing things and it generally works away from home, but for a couple of freak results when he tried out and attacking formation for 2 games (and inexplicably dropped it again) we play one way. I posted a huge post on the Fishy ages ago, detailing Hurst's total inability to turn around games. His stats in that department are quite frankly embarrassing.

He turned one round today though, right on it's fucking head.

Just got in from match against Grimsby. I left at 0-2 and heard a big cheer and though 0-3 because of Grimsby's amazing support ( must have been 800 there), but it was 1-2 and soon after it was 2-2. Grimsby easily best team we've played this season (hope you win league), but very pleased we came back and competed against such a good side.

Good numbers and noise from Grimsby but loathed to praise them myself considering how badly behaved some were in town before the game, Town Crier smashed up apparently, a few arrests made.

I just think you should take into consideration what your expectations were at the start of the season. Surely you didn't think you would be in a strong position to feature in the playoffs
