Usually have a weekend in Torquay but missing it this season as I'm going up to The Scottish Highlands the following day so it wouldn't really be very easy!

In Nailsworth The Britannia is pretty good, as is the Village Inn. Egypt Mill is posher but is also pleasant.

If your coming via Stroud then The Ale House is decent, and en-route from there you also have The Clothiers and The Fleece which are good pubs as well.

Of course you'll be more then welcome in The Green Man which is on site and is open to both sets of fans.

I also think our dictatorial food policy is well OTT. People will now be bringing their own milk, just like some already bring their own meat based snacks. Shouldn't have to do it though, the club should be fair and provide options for everyone. Most of us aren't veggie, let alone vegan
It's embarrassing for you guys now isn't it?

Not really...if you ignore the fact that we no longer serve real milk, which provides the calcium needed for strong bones...but still serve alcohol and chips, key ingredients in cirrhosis of the liver and obesity.

Excellent idea! Well done to FGR and Vince for taking such necessary steps in order to eradicate needless suffering and also contribute to a better world for future generations.

It's not all about the football you know? After all this game we all love so much is just 22 men chasing a ball.

I hope FGR do indeed win promotion to the FL, as the league could do with progressive thinking such as this and with the general ethos practiced at FGR

Agreed up until the last line! FGR's good ethos starts and finishes at the veganism/eco stuff, otherwise they're as bad as the rest of us if not worse. And despite sourcing my milk from soy/almond 90% of the time I'm in a hell of a lot better shape than most fans in the away end.

We're at home to Potters Bar today. They've started reasonably well so probably a tough match, but we've added a couple of new players who we are hoping will do well, a new winger and striker.

Big game for us to get some points in the league after the cup exploits thus far mean we are a few games behind those around us.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but it appears our club has now gone totally vegan, which means no more cow's milk for tea or coffee. I apologise in advance to all of you who travel long distances to the West Country in the reasonable expectation of a hot drink to warm you up on a cold afternoon on the terraces, but you will have to bring your own if you don't like soya or oat milk.

Dale Vince you are an utter cock.

We put one past them in August, mind you we weren't scoring then whilst now we're doing it for fun, throughout the team too. Scored 21 goals this season, twelve different goalscorers!
We've had more than double that in individual scorers against us this season. Though we have signed a rejected Lincoln defender in his mid 30's on loan so expect a slightly smaller rout.

How could you northerners live without a pie for 2 hours? Youd struggle, no gravy on your chips either poor bastards! Might start a campaign called feed the poor northerners proper meaty grub....

Seriously don't ever understand how people struggle without meat or real milk for a football match :p

Think we'll lose about 3-1 today, Until we get a new keeper I won't fancy us to win anywhere and also Play our only decent RB at RB instead of CM when we have 2 CM's on the bench and Lee Fowler not even in the 16. Hopefully James Gray is coming back today and will offer us and option that can keep hold of the ball uptop and get in the box. Hudson has been shocking at the back in the last few weeks so hopefully he won't be playing

Moke is also out for about 6 weeks with a hamstring injury which is a blow for us, he has been once of the consistent performers

Reckon Torquay is going to be a lot tougher than some internet Mariners (specifically on the Facebook groups) seem to be expecting. Late Woking goal prevented them from recording back to back wins last time out.

Today's the day that Fowler takes the limelight amd leads us to.a huge victory.

Or we continue to let every shot on target go in and we get battered.

Agree with SoC Torquay will be tougher than expected but we should still be winning and anything less will be very poor. 1-0 would be great.

It's funny how all our fans think Fowler is the answer. He's a quality player no doubt and I'd rather him in the side than not but I don't see how he will make us suddenly have an organised defence or a goalie who can save shots.

Absolutely. The defence is shabolic at the moment and as much as I like Fowler he isn't likely to be tracking back getting stuck in. We need to sort out the keeper situation (not sure if the rumours about Belford's hand is true) and get a settled and organised defence.

We aren't as hopeless as our recent results suggest, but we aren't as good as some people made out 6 games in either. This season is all about building something.

I think Grimsby will win today, just hope it's not a hammering. We've already had Bromley, it would be unfair to put 7 past us again!:2thumb:

Tempest in to add to the 15 minutes he's had so far this season! He's in for Wood. Hearn and Rhead up top.

The bench has basically nothing on it and full of kids - average age of about 19.

Had some optimism for today but have just seen the teamsheet. Dinsley and Rowe-Turner start for us. May as well just give Southport a two goal lead.

Cameron Belford in goal for Wrexham. Result = Life savings on Woking to win and Dan Holman to score.

Wow, popped up on my app as the scorer and I thought one of you lot had somehow hacked my phone! Wonder if that's close to a record for shortest amount of time between deal done and back in the back of the net for a signing?
