Its tough getting anything at Newport in normal times, so it’s going to be extra tough getting a result there with all this Covid malarkey. Plus I think Newport will think they owe us one from the POF. Would be quite happy with a draw.

Harrogate away for us - and they've been our bogey team for a few seasons - so under normal circumstances a draw would be a good result - whether we get one might depend on if Quigley, Platt and Ntlhe are back on Saturday or next Tuesday.

We've been doing fairly well at Orient in the last few seasons (IIRC), I see no reason we can't carry on in the same way. Confidence is high and after our dodgy start we look a whole lot better for our Covid break, unlike Orient.

Tough game this would absolutely take a point if offered now.

Stevenage seem to have been pretty decent on occasions so far after last season's clown show but we seem to be getting up to speed and steadily improving the weaker parts of our game. Still have a tendency to conceded from unforced cock-ups but really we should be looking to win this and anything less will be disappointing.

Our defeat at Walsall last season was ultimately the result which cost us promotion. I hope this is sufficient motivation for the players after the lacklustre display at Southend.
Rumours that Bowman wont be playing which will come as a relief to most.

Agreed would be very happy with a draw.

We’ve had a tough start to the season especially factoring in everything that has gone on. After Saturday we have home games against Leyton Orient, Southend and Morecambe with a visit to Crawley away amongst that so some really good opportunities to pick up some points there.

Salford at home, would love to beat them but its one of those "meh" fixtures. Can never be arsed with the circus around them to be honest with you.

We have Nathan Smith and Manny Oyeleke set to return which is a massive boost, need to pick up points after three poor results or the season will start to drift away.

A couple of weeks ago I'd have felt this was a nailed on 3 points for the Robins. Southend seem to be improving though, and we were dreadful on Tuesday. I still think we'll win, but I'm definitely not as confident.

I predict a draw at best and further calls for Dunn to go.

No idea what to expect in our game. Mansfield form is probably a bad thing for us given we always seem to struggle against others on a bad run.

On a positive, we can't be much worse than we were on Monday which was absolutely hopeless. Expect a change back to a back 3 and for Samuels to come in for Donaldson.

At home to table toppers Morecambe....how often can you say that?

Hoping to increase their negative goal difference (I think that's the right way round). To do so we need to improve our midfield and our supply to the front men. I would say change the personnel but when I look at the guys on the bench I'm not sure that's such a good idea.

Set up well, put a shift in and hope for a bit of luck....which is depressing right at the start of the season.

Stevenage at home, we're slight favourites I reckon but we never win at home so wouldn't be surprised if we dominate possession but draw 1-1 or something. Getting close to 10 months without a home win.

You can say it quite often but not for long I suspect.

Always expect us to lose in a match like this, but we have more mettle, more guile and more fitness than previous recent seasons and we seem to have accquired a never say die attitude .... well, unless we say die

We are definitely getting better. I think Mark Molesley is a good manager and I’m hopeful we won’t go down if we continue to improve like we have been doing

Scunthorpe away which looks the easier of our next three fixtures in 7 days.

looks like they are struggling for goals and have a few injuries so will go for a 2-0 win.

Hopefully we'll have Platt, Ntlhe and Quigley back, with Baker Richardson available to come off the bench. The addition of those four that were all missing from last week makes our match day squad look a whole lot better on paper.

The atmosphere around the club feels 1000x different than it did a few weeks ago. We looked very good on Tuesday with Holloway absolutely nailing the tactics and showing what a huge asset he’ll prove to be for us this season. We’ve still got a few fitness issues which will see the squad rotate again but we looked fine on Tuesday bar a couple getting cramp. Orient don’t seem to have coped well with the similar circumstances so I’m hoping we can come away with at least a point.

5:30pm KO to prevent an overnight stay as well.

Yeah, I'm actually feeling relatively confident going into this. Not necessarily in getting a result, but I've gone into every game so far this season thinking we might get spanked. I'd probably make just the one change if everyone is fit, bringing in Rose for Morton if he's available. Or even Hewitt maybe. Morton had a poor match, gave the ball away too much. Temptation would be to bring Hamez in for Gibson, but despite his misses Gibson did alright I thought. He's frustrating at times, but he's very raw and he works in this pressing, high tempo attack that him, Edwards and Tilley were adopting on Tuesday. Not sure if Hanson would provide that as well.

The issue I have with Gibson is he seems to lack any composure whatsoever, he’s like a hyperactive puppy. Not just on Tuesday but every time I’ve seen him, Tuesday was just a culmination of that, the misses on Tuesday were absolutely awful.

People say Hearn was raw at the start but this is a different level. For a team who look like we’re going to work on the mantra of ‘we’re gonna score one more than you’ we can’t afford to be tossing chances away like that every week.

Yeah, I do agree his misses were absolute shockers...but in contrast to that he absolutely buried his header from Hendrie's cross which was the most difficult chance of the four or so by a mile. Which leads me to think he does have something about him, it's just whether or not we can afford to squander these chances while we find out if he can actually improve. It's obviously a lot more important in games that are draws or games that we lose to one, because that's when his misses cost points. Backtracking a bit too, how fucking good was Hendrie's cross for that aforementioned offside goal?

Did you notice the quick throw-in that Gibson took towards the end of Bolton match? I suspect it's moments like that that are keeping him in the team for Ollie.

We’ve not got a great record away at Walsall and I fancy them to be up there this season. Would take a draw tomorrow but think we may lose 2-1

Hendrie was back to his old self on Tuesday, absolutely class.

Ollie will no doubt have an arm round him and will spot stuff like, I feel harsh on him but I’ve just not seen finishing that bad in years (that includes LJL)

We will no doubt be our usual selves.

We will create a few chances and pull Grimsby around for a period in the game, we may take one of the said chances we make. But also give Grimsby a chance or two of their own as we cannot defend properly as a team on a regular basis - The 7 league clean sheets in Ross's 40+ games now as our Head Coach tells its own story.

We will have Dan Happe and Ruel Sotiriou back at least.

We've got a 100% record in the cups this season, but not won since the opening day in the league.

Fans starting to wonder whether its worth continuing with Ross as the man in charge, the players have always played for him and given their all - We've come from behind so many times under him, but we keep letting in on average two goals a game and need to score at least two usually to ensure we get anything from matches, this is where we've had little improvement from last season and a section of the fanbase are getting frustrated with it.

I'm happy to wait until the end of October before pushing the self destruct button, but I'm not confident we will see much change in the way we play.

Gutted to be missing this one. Was a great day out last season. Proper club, proper ground, proper drinking town!

This is a must win for us if we have any aspirations of winning the CUFC League title.

After recent positive performances and results I’m starting to get a bit confident which in its self worries me. They hammered us home and away last season and are unbeaten so far this season. I’m going ultra optimistic and predicting a hard earned point.

Carlisle United 2-2 Colchester United

We've still got loads of injuries and we're absolutely shocking at football, a lethal combination.
