I was wondering if it was actually Tomas Holy or a lookalike in his shirt.

The reason being that I don’t think a single one of his kicks went out for a throw in.
One did but that's just becoming more common in the game. If you're asking keepers to get their kicks as close to the line as possible...

Sounded like Doncaster were much improved from earlier in the season but we got our noses in front and added a late one to kill the game off. We’re looking in decent shape at the moment.

Tranmere were terrible, we weren’t at our best today and coasted to a win

Fairly sure nothing will. That dinosaur is set in his ways and we need to just wait and hope others around us also continue to be shite
Aye we are really poor but one thing he has instilled in them is a bit of spirit but the football and tactics are turgid as fuck. Overall he is an improvement on Paul Hartley but I'll be very surprised if he keeps us up.

Dan Kemp is saving his ass at the minute.

Got nothing much against the Northampton fans, but their team is so grim. Dirty, slow, time wasting, anti football merchants.
I really hope they bottle promotion like last year - awful to watch, awful to play against, they're league 2 all day long.

Their football in general is dreadful, they fall over faster and easier than the french army play for set pieces and try to score from them.

However, it’s largely effective as last season and this proves.

still, anyone with any substance should be winning that game.
Colchester are not the side they were pre January, loads of signings and decent ones too.

You can thank the idiots behind me keeping hold of the ball for that. One of your players complained to the ref and he tapped his watch. Would have been a couple of minutes less stoppage time.
Obviously infected the crowd because your players time wasting was pathetic, just packed it in when 2-0, you were well in control could easily have got another. Let us back in and you can have no complaints

I really enjoyed our equaliser ,to shut your knobhead commentator up.
He thought that & Harry Pell wasting time was really funny.

Stevenage didn't look much.

Could be two automatic spots left to fight for.
Stevenage are just effective cloggers, didn't rate them at all either. Typical narky Steve Evans team playing percentage football

Loads of posts on the socials about him, Seems like I was the only one who got the Tees commentary.

Lost 2-0 to Stockport. Fully deserved defeat, absolutely no complaints, we weren't good enough from minute one, we improved in the second half but still nowhere near the required levels.

First half we were way, way off it. We moved away from what what we've been doing all season, no idea why, just zero pressing from those in forward areas, the Stockport's wide centre backs were just able meander forward at their own leisure unopposed on too many occasions. The hosts didn't create an abundance of clear cut chances but frequently found themselves in positive positions and eventually one of the openings resulted in the opening goal.

Second half we improved but were still not good enough in my view, their defence dealt with every long ball forward, we needed to mix it up but rarely attempted to. The second goal was a fuck up defensively but put a fairer reflection on the scoreline.

Evans got it wrong today, zero pressing and Stockport basically played us off the park, concerning as I don't think they got out of second gear. Oh well, we need to regroup and go again next week, a full week off, hopefully gives us a bit of time to recover and get some of the missing players back ahead of another massive game next weekend.

We have a lot to owe tomas Holy for that game. Late on a Colchester player put in a cross that Holy plucked out of the air at full stretch at a hell of a height while behind him was Akinde and an open goal. That was Colchester's actual best chance despite it not resulting in a shot and any other goalkeeper wouldn't have been able to do that.
An open goal for Akinde? Would have still been 50/50 if he would score.:ffs:

If Stevenage are the second best side in this division then I'm the queen of Belgium.

Looked like they wanted to play for a draw from the outset, had a back six at times, offered next to nothing going forwards. Often resorted to wayward hoofs from Piergianni. Crawley were a much better side and yet they're 2nd bottom, crazy
I really don't understand why it takes so long for other teams to rumble any Evans team. He never changes. We, like everywhere he goes, allowed him a few marquee signings which plastered over his complete lack of coaching skills and cajoling/bullying form of management.

Even during our terrible first half season goals drought , we drew 1-1 then only lost 1-0 to a goal from defender Piergianni in the reverse fixture.

Not much to say about today really, we played well but nothing exceptional but it was a comfortable win. Fans were superb.

Only bad news is even more injuries during the week, O’Toole is out for the season, admittedly he’s not played hardly at all but with Johnson also out it basically leaves us with zero cover for RB or CB, and Will Swan is out for a unspecified amount of time too, think he’s our top scorer but we do get goals around the pitch but I want him coming off the bench rather than DJ. Three youth players on the bench today.

We should've won that by one more than 1-0, all afternoon we had chances and clear passages of play to score or create a chance to put the game to bed. In the end we ended up scoring on the break from a Crawley set play.

I don't think Crawley had a proper shot, apart from a cross in the first half from Gordon which rolled across the six yard box and everyone missed. We literally controlled the game for about 80mins.

Crawley offered little in the final third - I'm all for playing out from the back, but Crawley clearly don't have enough players capable of doing that, they kept giving the ball away cheaply which led to chances for us. They're in a relegation battle and it looked like they was prioritising style over substance, they didn't get the ball forward quick enough and put alot of pressure on themselves. Alot of voices from the away calling for Wagmi to leave too.

From what I've seen this season, I think the relegation spots will be between the current bottom three.

As for ourselves, we need 2 wins to confirm a playoff spot and probably 4 now to get ourselves over the line - I'm working on the basis that we will draw and lose a few more games.

Imagine if we actually had a clinical striker? Could have been 6 or 7. Another great performance, though; El Mizouni and Clay were superb in the middle and even Sotiriou looked like a competent National League footballer. No idea where the stat saying Crawley had 2 shots comes from; they didn’t even have one. Laughable performance from a relegation-threatened side. Hope they manage to run WAGMI out of town sooner rather than later.

Mansfield and Stockport now hitting the form that reflects their squad strength.

Those two for automatic with Orient perhaps. Bradford keep fecking up so you might hang in the there.

Hey! WHAT ABOUT US?!?!

We beat inform Colchester today and are still 3RD and what do you mean perhaps Orient?
They've been running away with it all season whereas Stockport were too busy getting beat off the likes of Barrow earlier on and Mansfield have been bang average most of the time.
The league table doesn't lie, we're better than every team below us.

We beat Stevenage of an aggregate of 6-2, we aren’t great but to say they’re significantly better sides on minuscule data is lazy to say the least. Especially as a team you’re calling crap limited you to 0 shots on target, 0 corners and have done the double over you comfortably. You’re forgetting the sitter Matty Platt missed from 4 yards so it could have been more despite the gift. Well done on a solid 5 minutes on top and a dangerous cross.
I was judging those sides by the games they played against us this season, which is the same sample of matches your friend was using to judge us.

Stevenage are currently nine points ahead of you, which suggests they are a better team.

Leon Clarke improved us when he came on & he‘s overweight & can’t run.
We we’re that bad.

Personally I don’t think the football we play is too dissimilar from anyone in this league bar a couple of teams. 90% of teams at this level lump it but once you get a reputation it sticks.

See Daryl Horgan got a full 5 minutes for you lot again today, I can only assume we must be paying a chunk of his wages still otherwise I have no idea why you signed him.

I mean, he’s ok, but he’s no game-changer, and not really a clever January signing unless you were just looking for squad cover.

They probably are in terms of what it takes to get out of this league, there CBs would be our second highest scores, still do shit football though and I’d expect to beat them most days.

Any team that can come back from 2 goals down v Sutton, Wimbledon has half a chance

But wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t wait until two goals down to actually get on the front foot and go for it.

5 defenders and two defensive minded midfielders from kick off, we need wins, some of these come from behind draws might feel like three points but they’ll be the death of us.

That's the thing, it's too negative. We are capable of scoring goals, that's not our biggest issue at all. We have to be more aggressive, sticking everyone behind the ball with any combination of our defenders, it's just a matter of time before we concede.

No doubt we should've beat Hartlepool yesterday. Our defender Pearce going off injured changed the game. Play off chances over for this season which I'm not too bothered about. Overall I think league 2 is a poor division and any team that goes up this year will struggle in league 1 next season unless they invest . I've not been impressed by any team season .
