About time we won. Unbeaten in 13 league games now, but having just drawn four on the bounce including games with Crawley, Stevenage and Morecambe it was imperative we won today.

Cruised into a 2-0 lead early doors and looked set for a rout, but it seemed as though the players decided the game was done at that point - had a very strange feel to it. We scored an unbelievable team goal for a third which was given offside. Looked very tight but think Robinson may have been fractionally off, and he then had a stonewall penalty waved away which would have killed the game off.

Tough run now though with Bradford, Exeter and Swindon next up.

I think it's fair to say we've reached a plateau with Mark Cooper. We've always struggled to score under his tenure, but kept a descent defence. Now we have pretty much neither.
Questions will be asked, why has the goal keeping position been treated with less than the importance it deserves. Recruitment has slipped back again. We have not appointed an assistant manager, which leaves everything down to one man. I can only imagine MC must be completely exhausted, and I suspect this is effecting the team head on. We can surely Improve, but we have missed a great chance to push on. I think we've run out of ideas under the current management. But hopefully MC will show the dogged determination he usually does when under pressure.

Think we were overachieving being near the top with this squad tbh. We're a midtable side on paper. Smith is a proven league 2 keeper, was in league 2 team of the year a couple of seasons back. So not a terrible choice tbf.

Williams back plus a couple of new signings coming in might help. Need to offload Grubb, McCoulsky and maybe Stevens or Mondal too, none are doing enough for me. No end product.

Morecambe were pretty decent today and 4-1 flatters us a bit. Midfielders with all the goals so good to see everyone is chipping in.

Sounds like we didn’t get what we deserved today, I guess maybe Exeter owed us one from that 2-1 smash and grab at their place last season.

Yes, Matt Taylor said as much afterwards. Funny old game.

Enjoyable game today, missed some right sitters but Orient did likewise.
Not sure how the attempted decapitation wasn't a red card , particularly as the offender was a midget so no idea how he got his feet so high.
Referee appalling, nothing new there.

Good win and the top 2 next. Whatever results we get I'll assume we'll still be 10th

Tough tight game today's Cheltenham. They were decent 1st half, dangerous on the break and Addai missed a sitter. Lowery also had an effort superbly saved by the Cheltenham keeper. 2nd half though was one way traffic for the most part, they sat back and rarely attacked until the closing stages. Lovely strike from Ng for the goal. Chuma and Lowery really impressed me today for the Alex, and Nottingham looks to be just what we've been missing a big dominant centre half.

Has Colin Calderwood been sacked yet? Losing 0-4 at home to a team playing 4-5-1 with Jake Cassidy up front warrants instant dismissal.

HG said Oldham would win comfortably and yet we drew. Don't expect to hear from HG until next time we lose and he can say he told us so.

Won't be for a while then. You won't lose any of your next 3.

And Bottega Don said Scunny would lose comfortably too yet they got a draw and the miserable gits still not happy.

Happy with the result and a decent performance, Cullen finally got a chance and he was superb in helping us play the ball and create.

Should of led inside a minute, no idea how Atkinson didn’t score and then Woz had a great chance, their defence seemed to struggle with crossed and Woz winning a header says it all!

They were dangerous on the break and had a couple of very good chances but ours kept coming and going, even bigger miss second half when their keeper saved again from six yards.

It then got the point that Orient seemed to start doing the dark arts a little so the goal arrived at the right time as we struggle dealing with that, cracking ball from Burgess and smart finish from Amoo.

We didn’t really go for the kill which was disappointing but defended stoutly late on to avoid an undeserved dropping of the two points.

Interesting the referee today has sent off 9 players in 20 games this season... maybe he was stressed that his stats didn’t look good I don’t know but this was horrific! If he caught Monty on his shin like that it would be a red so how can it not be in his face!

We are clearly being properly managed now, but we need to start seeing the results.

Didn’t watch or anything, but we should have easily came away with something today - but that’s not good enough.

Tough tight game v Cheltenham, however I think they are the most limited side I’ve seen. Up there for a reason but good god, front to back in no time. Fortunately we defended well and Nottingham looked pretty solid. Need to follow up at Macc (never win there) to make it interesting.

Mansfield and Grimsby have different problems but it’s not gunna be much fun for either even with new managers for the rest of this season IMO.

I think Mansfield should do what we are doing and wipe this season off as a failure. We're both not gonna go up and not very likely to go down. We're not really signing anyone this transfer window and more focusing on lowering the wage bill. Think Mansfield would be best advised to go for the same thing.

Deserved to win today, but Orient contributed to a decent game.

Cullen, Smith, Montano and Amoo all excellent. Had a few really good chances and should have been playing against ten men. You won't see a clearer red card. He nearly took his head off!

Orient have one or two decent players. Angol's first thought is to foul but he's a handful and they put a few decent balls in to the box. More threatening than our set pieces anyway.

Should we play for the rest of the season like we did today then I don’t think I’ll be complaining too much (goals would be nice though).

Now why would I do that soft lad?
Because your fans are very fickle and will criticise him the minute anything goes wrong, wonder how long the feel good factor will stay around if the results dry up.

We will be fine, we have great pre and post match interviews to listen too for the rest of the season no matter the result. Can't see us going down so will enjoy the next few months and look forward to next season. Play like we did today and the last month or so and we will win more than we lose.

We weren't expected to do much this season it would have been nice to build on it but things change, now we can be optimistic for next season instead. Mansfield were expected to do things and have spent big to do things and have ended up in a relegation battle like County last season. Good job it's only one going down otherwise it could be really bad for you.

He should walk. I’ve not seen anything like that in a long time.

We’re absolutely wank, I’ve been backing calderwood but I can’t after today’s shambles, it’s clearly a big up yours to the board for not backing him but today was truly embarrassing, we’re on a proper shit run and I can’t see it ending anytime soon.

Oh and Bradford can do one en all, let me down for a 7 team accy!! Wankers

Can we relegate Newport for their general shithouseness?

They spent all last week cheating and fouling against us last week and their celebration for their first goal against Swindon is embarrassing.

Get rid of them, pointless club.

Ultimately we lost to the better side, but we had chances which we're not taking at the minute and its costing us. Had we managed a goal and to take the lead we'd have probably scrambled another draw.

Having said that had we fallen behind early on we'd have probably been stuffed, we're useless without the ball and this hasn't improved all season. The ten mins after we fell behind we seemed to just accept our fate.

Not impressed with the ref, gave some odd decisions both ways and Judd should've been sent off for us - leaving us with 0 full backs avaliable for the forseeable future.

Ross Embleton has laid into our players post match, he's just as much to blame, our gameplan isn't good enough.

Didn’t think you were too bad, had dangerous delivery and on the counter, if you can sort your defence out you’ll be ok.

Both our games this season have been open that’s for sure! Today neither side was clinical enough to match the tie at Brisbane Road for goals.

On a side note we now have more points at home than we managed in the whole of last season when we broke records for our shocking home form! Huge improvement to only lose one heading into the end of January!
