I don't believe anyone on an internet forum who says they are 'level-headed' or 'objective'. Better to chat shit and be aware than to have no idea that you're talking bollocks.

You believe what you want flower.

Oddly we are being called arrogant but most have us in their top 7 predictions!

We’ve been shit for three seasons and decent one in the last four seasons with one relegation, two worst ever FL finishing positions and a lunatic owner thrown into the mix.

We exceeded most Vale fan’s expectations last year which were solid base to build on and to stop the rot.

2020 has been outstanding on the field and off for us barring the pandemic mugging us the chance to finish the story last season and see what would of been the outcome. It’s nice to feel positive about my club again after years of depressing and going more out of feeling I had to than actually to enjoy it. Don’t see any arrogance but certainly enjoying the ride whilst it lasts as they are usually few and far between.

As Dan says the stats tell how well we’ve done, I think most posters on here that are Vale fans are decent, some good humour (which granted can be lost on a forum).

Not sure why Carlisle fans have issues with us?

Mansfield ones seemed to take exception to the Maynard saga and do get defensive when it’s suggested the spend money... which they do (and is entirely their prerogative what they spend or don’t spend).

Masi is what he is, time will tell how accurate he is but harmless banter. Will point out though that 99% of the time fans have no issues attending or having visits from Vale fans and far as I know it’s not reared up under Carol.

We do have an element that come out of the woodwork for certain games where they know they can get a bit of trouble, Sheff United, Bolton a few seasons back, Shrewsbury, Wolves and Grimsby is usually one too.

They are nowhere to be seen at Exeter on a Tuesday night or a home tie against most sides.

It just doesn’t feel real.
Until I can go, the season hasn’t started.
Going the football, having a few beers and taking the piss is a thing.
Sitting at home with the Mrs and kids whilst listening is not a thing.
Apparently we’ve done well, so what?
Would you be happy going up if you never went a game?
To me, football, is greater than the sum of its parts, the game itself I can take or leave...the moments of joy and and utter, utter despair , the sense of belonging to something bigger, that unites and divides in equal measure.
The freedom to shout and sing and drink at 1pm, this is what makes it for me.
Bollocks to watching it on the iPad in an empty stadium.

It doesn’t but imagine watching us when we were shit like this, at least we can enjoy it and hopefully helps boost morale from football fans watching their team at least during these awful times.

I have a ten game ticket and can’t wait to get down VP, the lads deserve it and want to feel part of it.

Not sure if it will happen this season with the current outlook of the pandemic but let’s hope so as without fans for another season then I think it would be the death of some more historic names in English football.

Nothing wrong with a bit of arrogance and certainly i see nothing wrong with saying you will be promoted.
When all said and done if we win the league or go out of the football league what is wrote here is irrelevant.
Carry on posting your views theres no harm. One or two here sprout shit.....we know who they are.

Ouch. He was prone to the odd sending off, but did not strike me as injury prone.

I’m all for hearing other fans opinion, but Christ that’s incredibly harsh for me, and anybody else I’ve spoken too Orient or Mansfield didn’t go anything near that. Each to their own and that, but I’ve not watched this side and thought ‘hoof’ - I’ll give you that the last 10 minutes were dismal, hence the fact you lot got a point, but ‘decent’ (just about) sums up our overall performance in the two games so far, nothing more.

It was a consummate away performance for 80 minutes; your eight behind the ball when out of possession were incredibly solid and up front you took advantage of our chronic defensive frailties. Charsley looked particularly lively - where did you get him from? I wasn’t unimpressed. Can’t see you being far off of the playoffs, if not in them.

But I think it’s fair to say that the vast majority of the ‘football’ you played was deep in our half. There was very little ‘playing through the thirds’ - most of your progression was very direct. You’re a decent, well-drilled side, but not a particularly attractive one.

If i were you i would stay stum.....your worse than us

No chance of any promotion party from the Conference under our current owner if we get relegated this season (that is, if we even still exist come the 2021-22 season). On the other hand, if Bolton get relegated they are prime candidates for an immediate bounce back.

I've seen a few different things suggested, groin, hamstring or ankle injuries.

Personally I think his head's fallen off, started poorly, being asked to play a different role and hasn't been able to handle criticism. Sure, some of it was unfounded, but our fans' online presence is larger than anywhere he's been and I think he's been overwhelmed by it.

Worrying though, from the club captain, if that is the case. Hopefully it is just a muscle strain, but strange that nothing has been confirmed.

Charsley is from Everton, suits that forward pressing role in midfield really well. He’s got competition with Tyrese Sinclair coming through aswell.

Give over Sarcevic is no snowflake. Started quietly not poorly but scored a couple in pre season without setting games alight.
He is club captain which may be adding pressure to his game. It is new to him and he has played one league game.
Idiots on twitter will not stop Sarcevic playing or Evatt selecting him. He is out injured. By the way he did a fans podcast midweek and seemed in good spirits and came across well.

Charsley is from Everton

Makes sense. Looked like he has basically everything he needs to succeed as a young attacking midfielder at this level. Certainly looked a cut above the rest in terms of ability on the ball. Very energetic. Annoying to play against. Properly shit hair. He’s got the lot.

He's been pretty anonymous in every other game I've seen. Hopefully just getting to grips with League Two.

He’s been my favourite midfielder in both games this season.

Ollie Clarke is my favourite midfielder. He is a perfect replacement for Bishop. Charsley was okay against Tranmere and good against Orient. Most games last season I thought Charsley was pretty ineffective. No worse than anyone else but didn't really do much.

Ollie Clarke will probably be our most important player this season if he keeps fit.

Harsh to judge Charsley last season, he’s perfect for what GC is trying to do - he’ll become one of your favourites I’m sure, keep a close eye on him, he’s very important to what we are trying to achieve with our press.

Sure he will be much better the longer he plays.

Did you not have the stadium, the training facilities, the dome, the hotel, the conference rooms or the office space over the last few seasons then?

Whether you're 'level-headed' or 'objective' should be for someone else to judge.

Casting aspersions on somebody's personality based on forum posts is incredibly naive, not to mention very biased dependant on what team said person happens to support. I know exactly what my thought process and characteristics are and anybody who says anything different is sadly wrong and just throwing random opinions about.

You could be wrong. That said, if you state 'I am level-headed' before writing anything your opinion should be bulletproof.
