The participants enter the chamber for the last time...

And they all fall to the ground as soon as they step into it. The gravity for this is almost crushing... it's a struggle to stand, let alone lift a weight...

Veggie and Don start out with the lowest weight of 10...

they both give it a good shot, but both fail to lift it up.

All players have failed to make any gains from this last round!

Well that was a huge anti-climax.

You could say, we've all been brought back down to Earth with that one.

So... final scores time!

For your information, the weight limits for the rounds were:

1 – 35, Veggie got this on the button!

2 – 39

3 - 46

4 – 19 – JJH got it dead on!

5 – 6

So yeah, generally we saw quite a climb, followed by a rapid drop. There was a potential of 145 strength to be gained in this game if somebody had somehow managed to get every single limit dead on... lets have a look at those final gains!

Ciderhead 90
Veggie Legs 90
IanH 87
Hodge 83
JJH 82
Magic 81
Bottega Don 76
Mr Elmo 70
Last Request 60
Paul Haddock 60
Natch 58
Stagat 53
Rammy 46
Murphy 35
Cards 22
MSB92 6

Ciderhead and Veggie Legs are well fucking swole. They are able to turn to each of the rest of you and ask the question... do you even lift, bro?

Very happy with that. Missed out by 1 in round 4 so could have been even better, but a near 50% strength increase should be plenty...

OP is updated!

After the first two games, the game makers have decided to reveal their views on who they consider to be the top contenders to walk out of The Hunger Games as the victor.

As the early favourites, they obviously have Ciderhead and Veggie Legs at a tie. Both gained an impressive 90 strength, as well as the maximum speed boost from the first game.

As other likely contenders, they have Last Request, Murphy, Paul Haddock and Techno Natch, who have also given good performances in both games so far.

After those are people who may not quite look as strong as those above, but still would not be shock winners of the games if they were the last man standing, based on their performances thus far. Those people are Hodge, IanH, Cardsfan, JJH, Magic and Mr Elmo.

Finally, Bottega Don, Stagat and Rammy are seen as slight outsiders to win the games.

Everybody else is yet to impress the game makers in any significant way.

Right, no training tomorrow as I have work. The Hunger Games will return on Wednesday at 5pm for...

FIGHTING TRAINING!

This is where you will train your overall fighting ability. This is going to be the difference between life and death when it comes to combat in the arena... there is potential here to gain a significant advantage!

Well my work patterns can be all over the place, so I just try to fit them in when I can... as it stands, aiming around 5ish has been ideal for me so far. Usually these sorts of things happen in the evenings around 7ish, but I don't want to end up in a situation where I'm still doing these games 10/11ish... It is my goal to be able to get these games done and then still have a bit of the evening left!

In other news...

We have our second person dropping out, as Cas has decided to call it quits. JUST LIKE SUPERSTAR WARS EH CASSIDY.

So we're down to 28 and we haven't even entered the arena yet!

Ok, with the fighting training only 2 and a half hours away, here is a nice advance warning of how the fighting training will go.

FIGHTING TRAINING RULES!

This game will consist of 10 round. When a round begins, anybody who wants to take part in it must say "IN" in this thread before a set deadline. Only 10 people can take part per round though, so be quick! You must say IN after I post "Round X begins!", any shouts of "IN" before that will not count. Once we have determined who is taking part in each round, I will give a list of who is taking part, and each player will have 3hp.

The next part works on a turn based system. For the first turn, the 10 participants must then PM me (before a set deadline, and IN THE HUNGER GAMES THREAD, any messages sent via other PM's will not be counted!) with the name of another player who they would like to attack, or they can choose to defend. Then the following will happen:

If somebody attacks somebody who is attacking somebody else, they will do 2hp of damage.
If two players choose to attack the same person, they will instead attack each other and lose 1hp each.
If somebody defends, they can only lose a maximum of 1hp for that turn.
If nobody attacks you at all, you gain 1hp for that turn.
If somebody fails to send who they would like to PM before the deadline, they will be instantly killed off.

This will then continue for as many turns as it takes for there to be one person left standing. That person will then gain +1 fighting skill stat, giving them 1 extra fighting skill for the main game.

Again, I hope that these rules are all clear. Any questions, let me know. Otherwise, see you at 5pm!

I actually expect that it may take a while... we'll have to wait and see.

Right, I am here... gonna be a couple minutes, just helping a friend out right now. Bare with me!

Right, gonna try and start this while helping this guy out. May progress slowly, but some progress is better than none at all, right?

Everybody got the rules as well, yeah?

In that case...

The first round will start at 5:25
