Carlisle 1 down, that's one relegation spot taken then...

GET IN, 1-0 Town. Missed most the first half but seems like it's been decent match so far, good pace to it.

Nothing to do with Stockport though, it's all about your man DC.

Also seemed like you lot were quite into it last season during the FA Trophy when you were singing "Grimsby get battered everywhere they go"
We were singing "Your fish get battered"

(well, I was)

Also, are you still really getting wound up over that? Don't you remember the video that showed your 20-year vendetta was over nothing at all?

Sounds like you're the one getting wound up there mate? Definitely sounded like Grimsby on the radio.

We look a totally different team to the one do easily beaten at Tranmere. Good value for the lead

Take 1-0, good job we’re not playing a decent side today otherwise it could have been four or five and killed confidence.

Great spirit from us in the circumstances. Kept the goal difference down which was our main worry before 3pm and a free hit in the FA Cup so hopefully time to get players back and well enough.

Well done to Grimsby to get the three points.

It was an absolutely terrible game.

Grimsby deserved winners. As predicted we massively missed Horsfall. No way that goal happens if he plays.

Really worried about our injury situation now. Could really derail us. After our best performance of the season against Walsall that one is up there with our worst.

At what point do we become Stockport’s official ‘bogey side’?

Can we play against Stockport every week? We are always excellent in one of cup games with everything on the line. Must be a privilege for our players to play the likes of Stockport, shame there isn't more clubs in this league that are as big as them!

That goal doesn’t happen if Palmer is our second choice to Horsfall either.

Lewis is terrible. The only thing he has on his side is his age but given the aspirations of the club it’s irrelevant.

Yeah I was thinking that, you've definitley got some voodoo curse over us.

Pleased for Hurst tbf, gets a lot of stick for the quality of his football from your fans and it's obvious why but results wise he's done brilliant for you.

Yeah he's wank Lewis, if Horsfall is out for a sustained period we need a new Centre Half. That Waterfall for Grimsby always plays well when I watch him.

Totally agree. He’s out of his depth at this level. If Horsfall is out for any length of time we’re fucked.

Yeah I can remember a time when you were our bogey team too, culminating in that 05/06 season when we just missed out on the autos, both games against you we played with you bottom of the league, both games we went 1-0 up in and both games we still lost.

Deserved win today despite the Ref all of a sudden not noticing fouls on our players in the last 10 minutes

Two poor teams at Pools today, either could've won it so in the end glad to get out of it with a point, our makeshift defence got done twice with daft balls over the top not dealt with leading to two simple one on one goals.

Will someone go and rescue Armstrong so we can get shot off this tinpot hobby club once and for all.

Absolutely terrible? Come off it. Wasn't a classic but it was decent enough.

Hurst is definitely one of the better managers at this level for me, like you say the football is dire at times but it's effective. I'm just praying he can have a couple of good transfer windows as the squad needs strengthening.

You wouldn't be saying that if you'd watched our previous two matches. He's been class for a season and a half now though generally, such a good leader.

Good win for us and well deserved. First goal is debatable whether its an OG or Oliver's but the other two were really good goals and we even scored from a set pice.

Salford were a strange side. Passed the ball well but only looked threatening when they lumped it to smith. Their first goal was an excellent finish by McAleny and the second was an unlucky deflection from a free kick. Also a contender for miss of the season right at the death but would've been daylight robbery if it went in.

Third 2-1 victory for Sutton in a row in what was an entertaining local derby.

U’s came flying out in the first half and created a few decent chances before Randall put us ahead with a sweet effort after 12 minutes.

Wimbledon got a hold of both themselves and the game and equalised after about 32 minutes following a free kick into the box which wasn’t cleared properly.

Both teams went for it in the second half and Sutton got themselves ahead when Omar Bugiel won a goal mouth scramble.

Sutton defended well for the rest of the game and could have had a third on a couple of occasions.

Doubled up on Wimbledon and we’re now within 3 points of the playoffs. Wimbledon haven’t beaten us in the league since before WWII

Im amazed i didnt shit myself, our makeshift backline was frighteningly bad. There's wasn't much better either. Good game between two chronically poor defensive sides.

I never ever want to see that lineup again, we need defensive reinforcements fast.

I'd probably have settled for a point once i saw our team, it's not an ideal result but it's done, re-group and get some new players.

Harrogate's front 3 of Armstrong, Pattison and Folarin will keep them out of danger.

Watched our game on iFollow. Thought we were the better team first half and unlucky to be behind at the break - in terms of overall play and also the goal itself with how it came off our man straight to theirs in the build-up.

Second half though Walsall took over for much of it, especially with keeping our forward players quiet, so fair play to them. We had much more attacking play last ten which you would expect as we had to at that point and Walsall were always going to sit back at that point too.

From what I've seen of us this season we seem to often have a good half and a bad half in games. Would be nice to figure out why and maybe have two good halves in the same game more often tbqfhwy.

The pace of Folarin in behind our awful make-shift defence was a big threat.

If we had actual defenders at the club we would have won that today. Entertaining game but Awful game of football. Two crap sides.

I thought it was turgid and lacking quality. Not helped by the terrible pitch which has potentially added three more injuries from players losing their feet.

Long ball (from both teams) and long throw after long throw. We had corner after corner that we did nothing with as well. The ball spent so much time out of play.

Stockport fans banging on like they've got Chesterfield 2021/22esque injury problems. Your lineup today looks pretty much full strength to me, am I missing something? Perhaps if you weren't spending 15k p/w on a frontline you could have better backup CBs?

Great basketball type game for the neutral, tough for fans of either side.

Hamilton is starting to grow on me, won all sorts in the air today, proper tough as nails battler, has a touch of the narky side to him as well, it's something were 100% missing, some divvy player who'll batter the oppo and gee everyone up, for me that's someone like Peter Hartley, I hope we're offering him something, even a 6 monther.

This is probably an indicator that you play more attractive football than us then to be fair. We've endured far FAR worse games than that over the last few seasons!

Think that’s fair, that we were losing at half time was laughable, we should’ve been infront, but too often we didn’t take the shot, we missed a sitter etc.

What was needed was a strong start to the 2nd half and didn’t come out until it was too late.

yet another unmarked header from a set piece to add to the mix. Poor all round from us.

It’s a game we’ve lost which we really shouldn’t have, but have.

Clough needs a big transfer window.

Horsfall, MSH, Johnson, Hussey, Camps and the new striker unavailable.

A couple of unknown players had fitness tests.

Rydel, Hippolyte, Evans and Croasdale playing with illness.

Assistant manager Clint Hill missing with illness. Challinor’s step dad died three days ago and he was so ill he was sat on the end of the bench on his own for 90 mins.

Hippolyte then goes off injured and Wright and Collar hobbling at the end.
