It’s something the PFA should be getting a grip on. Like with everything with them, when it comes to spending money they are conspicuously quiet.

Yep totally agree, if I were a player I’d be very unhappy with them, not done enough about this and the salary cap either. Not fulfilling the basic functions of a Union IMO.

Forest at home tomorrow, they seem to have sorted their defence out in the last 4 games so I imagine the first goal will be important in this one, which it generally is for us anyway.

Doubt Sinclair will be back, could see Gally being rested after three starts and returning to a back four with possibly Earl dropping out. Ledson & Potts coming into the side would be my guess.

Rudd
Fisher, Huntington, Davies, Hughes
Browne, Ledson
Potts, Johnson, Barkhuizen
Maguire

Well they are doing the bare minimum - lining the pockets of the management.

Bristol City v Brentford called off due to a Covid outbreak in the City camp. Yet three days ago they were linking arms all together...

...less said about my view on this the better.

This is asking for trouble. This is quickly becoming untenable for games to continue.

Yes - it’s only going to get worse as they travel across the country being in close contact with each other .

Surprised to see our game going ahead when there's been a few covid cases in the Barnsley camp, but I guess we just have to hope the affected players have been isolating properly and haven't been in contact with the rest of the squad.

The new variant spreads far more quickly than the old and therefore normal distancing and isolation measures are not as effective.

I know we all love our football but “hoping” anything at this point is not a good idea.

Tim Krul finally returns to the team today after a couple of months out injured. That was always going to be a huge boost whenever it happened, but with McGovern now being out injured for the rest of the season (in all likelihood) it's become even more important. Placheta also returns to the squad on the bench, and it'll be good to have his pace back in the side to allow us to offer a different threat at times.

One clear-cut chance apiece so far, but not the most exciting contest otherwise. Both teams playing nice football on the ground, but it's mostly just getting stuck in the middle of the park.

Not as though either team is making many chances in this game, but good grief our conversion in front of goal is absolutely atrocious at the moment.

Same as Coventry game really with us playing shit but not being troubled.

If DJ is struggling with his knee then I hope we replace him with a striker, need something different if we're going to create a chance, never mind score.

What a finish from Buendia to give us the breakthrough here. McLean's ball over the top, perfectly latched onto for the volleyed finish. Hopefully adds a few more million to his price tag to help us hold onto him for a while longer.

And three more points on the board. Good enough after an awkward Christmas period, but it's definitely easy to see why Barnsley have been doing so well as of late. They could be dark horses for the play-off race if they keep going as they are.

well beaten by a decent Boro side, we got an encouraging early goal but then badly lost momentum, and to be honest we could have lost by more. Welcome to 2021.

Mugged in that second half, hit the bar twice and the keeper made a couple of good saves.

It was a definite penalty but Grabban took a double touch so should have been a re-take, pretty impossible to spot in real time though.

Really fucking infuriating, should have won comfortably.

Lots of huffing and puffing but no quality against a solid side .

Never looked like getting back in the game.

Another away game and no performance to be pleased about .

Knows what a goal is .

Deeney is living on past reputation and Gray has never been that good .

Andre still in his 20s and scored well over 150 professional goals at five different levels. He can't be that bad - maybe wearing a piss stained shirt saps players of their powers...

His touch has always been pretty bad, I remember it was one of the sticks used to beat him with on the non league forum! If you’re playing in a way that makes that matter then that’s a problem, he wants to stretch and get behind teams so he can run on to those dodgy touches.

Fair point - he does try to make runs but our midfield is pretty ineffective and today he and Deeney just did not link up well.

Its not a retake. Free kick to opposition.

Yeah, either way, referee had no chance of calling it with any certainty in real time. Slow-mos showed it should have been disallowed though.

Millwall potentially the worst side I've seen all season, although admittedly coming off the back off a Covid break. Not exaggerating when I say we could have easily won 4 or 5-0 today had we taken our chances, they were so ridiculously open and gave us so much time on the ball. Another pair of ridiculous performances from Dabo and Hamer, they're far too good for us.

I dislike QPR just slightly less than the Golden Shower. Lets get at them. Very attack minded lineup.
