I think Luton killed the title race. Even after this defeat, 1 win or even 3 draws from our last 3 should be enough.

But yeah, we look every bit as poor as I expected.

It's not really too surprising after the weekend hangover, but it will certainly be disappointing and concerning (when looking to next season) to have lost all four matches against the teams who came down with us. Another stark reminder that we've got loads to do to have a chance of survival next season.

Players have looked hungover all game, not surprising but I think Farke is still drunk. Taken off half the defence for wingers

This actually makes me remember that our form dropped off massively in the final five or so games of our last promotion season too, as well as the farce that was Project Restart for us last year. We seem to not end seasons very well under Farke for whatever reason.

Tbf we were on course to destroy Bournemouth before Pearson lunged in on Dimi and got him sent off.

This one after a weekend of celebrating and Watford needing the win isn’t much of a surprise.

Deserved three points for Watford, who we simply cannot beat under Farke. Completely dominated our hungover side from start to finish, in a fashion depressingly reminiscent of a lot of games of our relegation campaign last year.

I think I know which team looks better equipped to survive in the Premier League next year, and it definitely isn't us. Congratulations on your place in the Prem with us next season, Watford. Enjoy the six points we'll give you for the third season running.

Disappointing if understandable from Norwich tonight. Top 2 done and dusted then, but cant see Watford challenging Norwich for the title - one more win for you and will be fine probably. Sarr managed to find his way out of Naismiths pocket and was a real threat, Watford deserved it.

Bit harsh on yourselves to say Watford look the better equipped after that though, I think if you had seen the game Saturday against us you would have said something very different!

Bit of an overreaction. We didn’t turn up and lost 1-0 to one of the best sides in the division. Watford deserved the win, easily, but they hardly looked like world beaters. They look more reliant on Sarr than we are on Emi and that’s saying something.

Excellent!

Well deserved win.

3 points on Saturday could do it if we perform as tonight.

Maybe I'm just still a bit scarred by how awful we were last year against teams who play like Watford and am placing too much value on a performance from a team who partied hard at the weekend.

Guess we just have to bounce back again, win our last three and then worry about what comes next. Undoubtedly there will be lots of work for both ourselves and Watford to do as we seek to bridge the gap.

Classic Pearo.

Based on Bournemouth fan's comments that i've been seeing, he's been a revelation since establishing himself in their team. Really hope he gets his chance in the Prem next season.

Weird how when you have nothing to play for you kind of forget the games. Didn’t even realise we were playing Reading tonight until a few minutes ago. I’d happily bask in the glow of the win from the weekend a bit longer!

Delighted that Akinfenwa got his (presumably) lone Championship goal, and we are still not yet down (effectively we will be if Derby get 3 more points given our shit GD).

Also pleasing for the sake of the bitter Peterborough c***s who said we didn’t deserve to be here, that we’ve beaten one of the Posh’s Championship relegation points hauls. My middle finger is raised.

Don’t get me wrong, we’re down, but I don’t care as long as we go down fighting.

0-0 against Reading for us. Played pretty well, carried over lots of the intensity from the weekend but very little quality in front of goal. Had some decent chances as well as some decent openings that if we just get the final pass right we probably win. Couldnt do that unfortunately.

Reading really chucked everything at it late but defended pretty well.

Our turnaround since the disaster at QPR has been nothing short of unbelievable. It’s not mathematically confirmed but we’re 99% safe now and tbh we could easily end up finishing 14th or above given our last three games and how everyone else is doing.

Looks like Derby might get saved just by virtue of Rotherham being too knackered to do anything with those games in hand unfortunately. Went a goal up tonight but lost a man and ended up losing.

Next 2 are Barnsley and Brentford so 2 real tough games.

Dare I say it was a very good 0-0 tonight and really two very evenly matched teams on the night. Either side could've won it - probably the Reading keeper marginally busier.

Positive signs for next year. Key is that we continue this front foot attitude rather than going back into the boring mould especially away from home.

Oh and Gary Sweet's programme notes are well worth a read this evening.

It is. Very disappointed in them all excpet Barnsley. Norwich aside, nobody has consistently shone. Bournemouth and Brentford should be ashamed.......and kicking themselves as that was a prime League to get a top 2 spot. Zero pressure put on Watford who would almost certainly have crumbled and have just ground out a shocking promotion.

Come on Barnsley. Get it done.
