Barnsley's goal possibly a foul as Morris was very much pulling on Omobamidele's shirt to win that ball, but Omobamidele was definitely taking a touch too long on that ball to invite that pressure in the first place. A quick response at least, with Buendia scoring from a header somehow.

Don't really get the impression that either team is too concerned about what happens here, as you would expect.

Barnsley are really giving us one hell of a game here, and if they can keep this up going into the play-offs they've got a good chance.

Meanwhile, Wednesday got one just before half-time, so as it stands that's both them and Derby down. Just have to hope that Rotherham can hold out for the three points they need now.

Decently entertaining game in our dead rubber. Switched off to let Austin score the opener whose made himself a very good career off of doing just that!

Responded well to it and Dewsbury-Hall has been running the game since and deserved a goal which he got.

Ugh, Derby have taken the lead now. Wednesday really need to get their finger out fast.

Disappointingly Derby now in the lead. Both goals demonstrate pretty horrendous positioning from the Wednesday keeper, standing in no mans land on both - the second particularly egregious to be beaten from that distance on a shot thats ended up in more or less the middle of the goal. The first would have been a pretty simple save if he hadnt over committed too.

2-2 now, Paterson.

Sheffield Wednesday deserve to go down, purely for having a centre forward who wears the number 5 to be honest.

3-3 obvious penalty dispatched very well by Waghorn.

Cardiff equalised against Rotherham unfortunately and into the final few minutes. Unfortunately I think that might be Rotherham cooked. Hoping Wednesday can get another one for them.

And that's game over for Rotherham, and they go down once again. I'm sure they'll be back again in twelve months to keep the cycle going. On the other hand, it looks like Derby will stay up which just makes for the most disappointing, boring and predictable outcome all around.

Meanwhile, we finished our season with a 2-2 draw at Barnsley and will now be getting to do our title celebrations.

Got to say that was impressive given the team.

Played well and that was out of the blue from Success!

Swansea were awful.

Rotherham so unlucky.

We lost 3-1, didnt really watch the second half was too focused on the relegation battle!

6 added minutes at Derby.

So disappointed for Rotherham, missed some big chances today, seems to have been their achilles heel. Pretty incredible result for Wycombe, currently a very respectable 3rd bottom which all things considered is a good achievement for them.

oh well, finished on a high against a Boro side who did not look up for it, Neil Warnock does not look happy at the best of times so god only knows what a bollocking lay in wait for them at full time - I can't imagine Warnock accepting that sort of show whether they had anything to play for or not.

Gloriously shit goal for our second, literally bounced off our winger's shin, one of the worst goals I've seen for a long time, and all the better for it.

I don't usually do optimism, but if we can do decent close season business, I'm actually pretty confident of a top half finish in L1 next season.

It was a positive first half from Luton, but became a bit of a non event for us in the second. QPR for a couple of years have looked like a useful side and we haven't won in any of the four recent meetings against them. I feel they should be getting closer to the play offs.

Thank you Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who signed off his loan spell with a well taken goal. I fear he will be back in the Championship next season in a team like Stoke who will spunk a big loan fee for him. It appeared he really cared for the cause and would happily come back next season if given the opportunity.

Finishing in the top half is a very positive result - we have now gone six consecutive seasons improving on the previous year. I like to think next season, with 3-4 signings in addition to keeping our key players, we can make a real shot for those play offs, similar to where QPR are now.

As for Rotherham, they've been poor for a few weeks... Covid or not. Derby can count themselves lucky for now, but they have an EFL charge against them outstanding which they will need to fight. The ideal result would've been Sheffield Wednesday to join their neighbours in L1; but at least it gives them the opportunity to reset and get rid of Chansiri.

Ainsworth sounded very bullish post game about next season and the players he has his eye on. “It will be the best Wycombe side ever” or something along those lines. Sounds like some investment coming from your owners next season.

I think someone like West Brom might take a look. Need to replace Connor Gallagher who they have on loan from Chelsea and KDH is a similar sort of player.

Yeah, fuck it, give Frankie McAvoy the job.

Couldn't have asked for anything more from the guy, 5 wins and only losing 1 (against the form team in the league, Brentford). 5 clean sheets too.

Get the recruitment right in the summer and this 5-3-2 could be a winner.

I was worried about going down next season, McAvoy has massively eased those concerns.

Well, we signed off the season quite well, didn't we?
Bravo Coventry. Especially as Millwall had dispatched someone else 4-1 a week ago themselves. I can see Coventry getting a bit higher next season with a bit more firepower.

I don’t know what it is about Millwall this season but we just seem to have their number. We only won 2-1 away but we should be been 4-0 up at HT, and then yesterday it’s not an exaggeration to say we should have hit double figures. If you’d only see their two games against us you’d think they were relegation no-hoper yet they’ve finished above us.

It’s also less about getting in more firepower per se but more about keeping the ones we have fit. Godden and Walker have barely had a chance to get going all season. Walker has played a fair amount of games but he’s been badly effected by Covid and hasn’t been fully fit all year, while Godden has a persistent injury that keeps reoccurring. If we had had them fit all season I think we’d have probability finished with 6-8 more points.

Yeah, including myself heavily in that one! In my defence we had a period from late Jan to March where we couldn’t buy a goal and we’re giving away stupid ones to the opposition every game, as well as failing to win big games like Birmingham ‘away’ and Forest at home. The culmination of that was when we lost 3-0 away at QPR and put in a dreadful team performance. Really thought we were buried after that but we really turned it around.

I was wondering what was happening with that, as I remember it being mentioned absolutely ages ago and then seemingly being forgotten entirely. Even though it shouldn't be, my prediction is that they'll suspend any points deduction until next season, despite what was done to Wigan at the end of last season.

Surely Brentford are getting the job done this season? They're flying.

1-0 Bournemouth.

Jansson cost Brentford big time, lost possession while trying to be a right winger.

And how did Mbeumo miss that absolute sitter? Far harder to miss that than just slot it into the bottom corner.

Bournemouth have definitely had the better of this despite Brentford having a lot more possession in the second half: they look very composed at the back and are soaking up most of the pressure very well.

Finely poised, but looks like the Brentford bottle job is about to strike once again.

I'd say Ayew looked a touch offside there, but an excellent finish to give Swansea the lead. Barnsley looking tenacious, but need to buck up their ideas in the final third as the Swansea centre backs are having little trouble dealing with the aerial barrage.
