Potentially 2 1/0 wins then ?

Sounds familiar!

All to play for.

Brentford and Swansea capable of turning this around.

Well, based on that, congratulations to Swansea on their place in the play-off final as they've completely nullified Barnsley and they have that little bit of nous that Barnsley very clearly don't. Tenacity has gotten Barnsley far this season, but it looks like it won't be getting them any further unless they put in a hugely improved second-leg performance. A very good season for them nonetheless, though.

I thought it semi interesting that Brentford only had 1 English player in the 11 tonight (That player being Toney, Pinnock is technically but plays for Jamaica, Fosu plays for Ghana).

If they don’t go up it’s going to be interesting to see how they go about changing the transfer approach. Most of the players they’ve signed wouldn’t pass through the new rules post Brexit.

Heck Virgil van Dijk wouldn’t have qualified for this stupid “Australian style super points based immigration system”.

That goal Brentford have just conceded one of the most ridiculous in a long time.

All those men up for a corner in the 5th minute!?

We don't have that many in the box in the 90th minute usually.

To concede a goal like that so early is absolutely embarrassing for Brentford. Leaving absolutely no one besides the keeper back for a corner so early is nothing short of suicidal and says a lot about how desperate Brentford are.

And equally embarrassing from Begovic in response to Toney scoring that penalty. Completely unnecessary and blatantly cheating to try and get Toney sent off. Nothing out of the ordinary for Bournemouth there though.

The irony-o-meter has gone off the scale.

For me, Jarred Gillet is that good a ref, he should be going to the next World Cup - the way some of these players are behaving, he's got an impossible job today.

It's there for Brentford to take if they can cool their heads and be professional about this. An important half-time break for both sides, this. Referee is doing as well as he can given he's constantly being surrounded, but he does need to give a few bookings for the time-wasting to bring things somewhat under control again.

Brilliant to watch this, some of these players have lost there heads totally. Begovic in particularly.

Weird goal to draw it level on aggregate, almost tackled the ball in from 20 yards!! So good to hear fans in the ground, makes all the difference

Even with the slow-motion replays, I'm not entirely sure how that ball ended up flying into the net like that, but I'm sure Brentford won't care at all. Very firm momentum shift now, but definitely not over.

Is it still extra time then penalties in the play-offs this year if it ends level after the two legs?

Begovic calling the penalty a shameful decision..

As if Bournemouth or any other team wouldn't appeal for that!

The sending off cost them and there was no dispute over that.

Thought it was a pen by today’s rules to be fair. We had a very similar one given against us at home to Birmingham that no one really had complaints about. Those get given now for better or worse.

Mores to the point Begovic absolutely embarrassed himself today so he should be keeping quiet. Lost his head totally, first half especially I thought he had a total mare, and that’s aside from his stupidity after the penalty

Barnsley. wow. Came up short but what a season. Really hope you keep your Manager and get the chance to consolidate as a challenging team. Congrats. A season dreams are made of, even if youre a bit sad this weekend.

I'm now praying that a good amount of fans are allowed to attend games by July, we've announced Celtic away on the 17th.

Much stronger on crowds still.

Yeah, I'd say there will be no chance of away fans to be honest.

Playoff final today then. Like to see Brentford go up, just to see a different club go up and see how they do with a crack at the premier league. They’ve been well backed by Benham etc but feels like they’ve built towards this in the “right” way through improving and selling players and reinvesting rather than simply just chucking money in from the word go.

Sky have just described Swansea reaching the playoffs as a massive over achievement which is quite something since they play Ayew some obscene sum.

With Brentford, I see a lot of similarities with how we went up two seasons ago, with easy on the eye attacking football, a prolific striker but a porous defence. So, naturally, I'd like them to come up with us this time in the hope that they can end up as one of three teams to finish below us (anything to make survival feel ever so slightly less unlikely) and of course because it would be someone different for a change and they have built towards it the right way over the last few years.

Swansea should be down to 10 already imo. Horrendous challenge by Grimes. In the premier league with var he would surely have gone.

I swear Ivan Toney is the only footballer I've seen who actually makes the slow run-up on a penalty work with any consistency. Almost identical to the one he scored against Bournemouth in the second leg.

Swansea under pressure then - behind and could have been down to 10.

Maybe the ref didn't feel he could make such a big decision so early on in such a big game?

Bet he gets a 2nd yellow for nothing.

Yep always prefer my striker to run up and welly it, his technique feels risky but works obviously.

Swansea are rattled here, can’t keep the ball and giving away fouls all over the place.
