Striker. 30 goals in all comps, 26 in the league. Not been mentioned who's interested but a Fleet fan reckons Stevenage, while Tom Bonner's (our centre back and captain) dad reckons Bolton!

Hope we offer him something decent to at least try and keep him. Hope we don't just think "ah well he's off".

Been saying it since the final mate. He loves the club but he wants to improve. He's a Kent lad through and through so unless he stays, in my opinion, he will join you or a side close to London.

Tom Hamblin has signed a new contract with the club whist Elliot Benyon joins from Hayes & Yeading United. Benyon is the antithesis to Jefferson Louis, he doesn't have the frame to unsettle centre halves like Louis but will work his socks off. The lack of workrate from Louis made it too easy for opponents to break out and attack, Benyon negates that.

Those ITK seem to think we'll be announcing the signing of a midfielder later today.

Definitely more of the latter, given all that has happened to us in the past, we wouldn't gamble with money we don't have.

We have a modest budget increase on last season. Also have to bear in mind that chances are the two highest earners at the club have gone.

Weston Super Mare news:

We are appointing Ryan Northmore as head coach of the first team. He will be assisted by Mark McKeever. First-team captain Dayle Grubb and club captain Luke Purnell have signed on for next year. They are joined by Clayton Fortune, Scott Wilson, Tristan Plummer, Joe McClennan and Kane Ingram. A number of further appointments are expected soon, with negotiations ongoing. Jake Llewellyn and Pat Keary have left the club to travel to the United States to pursue a career there.

Joe McClennan is quality. I'm actually surprised a club higher up hasn't taken a chance on him.

As for us - £10,000 cheque for winning the Non League Celebration competition was presented today*. There was also an update on 100:400 with £23,500 having been pledged by supporters towards the budget for this season.

*Potentially another £40,000 to be made from that with a pre-season friendly against a Premier League Legends team... further proof that the word legend is banded around far too easily these days.

Edit: Pre-season friendly lined up with a Spurs youth team, hopefully their under 21s.

Considering he took a pay cut to join Chelmsford last summer, then for them to ask him to take a 35% pay cut after the season hes had...no wonder he's pissed off.

After already agreeing to take a 20%, there's no way I'd go back on that. Lost a little bit of respect for him after that.

Godden played against us at Tamworth a couple of seasons ago and although we won 4-3 he scored 2 and looked class

Class act mate. If he wasn't played on the wing as much, he'd have got close to 40 goals this season.

I'll be surprised if he stays.
