Anthony Acheampong to Maidstone, Michael West released, Bryan Van Den Bogart returned home for personal reasons. Pretty sure that's it in outs from us. If I think of anymore I'll let you know!

We've got a squad of 19 seniors and 4 academy players on first team contracts: Hugo Atkinson, Karn Miller-Neave, Ollie Boulding and Billy Holmes.

Ta Joe, all updated.

The amount of signings by Whitehawk, Welling, Margate and Chelmsford is ridiculous. And seriously, where the heck did Whitehawk find these guys? Crazy.

Looks like the story about brown manilla envelopes stuffed with £20 notes has been circulating around the planet at some pace !!!!

Typical non-league to have major squad overhauls in the summer though, isn't it? I totally forgot that Hungerford were at this level now, and the poor buggers have signed Nicholas Bignall possibly one of the worst strikers I've seen at SUFC.

I think Ebbsfleet are being sensible with their squad size this season. Too many places creates friction in the changing room. We used 22 players in the league last season

That's the way I see it. We had far too many players on the books last season and we ended up rotating every other game. I think, as you say, we've been sensible this time round. Released the ones considered to be not good enough and just signed a handful. I do expect to see one or two more sign, but I wouldn't be disappointed if not.

Here's a laugh for you all: Chris Sessegnon is on trial at Portsmouth. Absolute robbery how he's still playing football.

Didn't go, but we beat Deal Town 5-0 today in their designated Demelza Cup day.

Kissock, Cook, Deering, Phillips and trialist Darren McQueen with the goals. McQueen came through Ipswich's academy and has been playing at Maldon and Tiptree for the past year. 17 in 39 from midfield isn't too bad.

I was at our 2-0 loss at Biggleswade earlier on this afternoon. Wellard looked very cultured on the ball (appreciate he won't have that much time on the ball when the season gets underway) whilst nobody else impressed. Thankfully pre-season means nothing. :)

Yeah, I don't read anything into pre-season other than fitness levels really. Seems we played fairly well as a team today other than Deering refusing to let somebody else take the penalty!

McQueen looked really good when he came on by all accounts, imagine we will look to sign him, although not sure we need another midfielder unless he's the player behind the strikers we've been missing out on!

We play at Dartford tomorrow in Ryan Hayes' testimonial. McMahon said he will look to play a strong side in one half while Steve Gritt could feature! He's near on 60 I think! Paul Lorraine will play a half for us too even though he's contracted to Dartford.

Got that wrong about Lorraine, he's player/assistant manager at Cray Wanderers. Played 45 minutes today as Dartford ran out 4-2 winners. Fairly strong side first half, although 3 or 4 of them probably won't be regular starters saw us go into the break 3-0 down. Bubb had a penalty saved at 1-0. Daryl McMahon, Stacy Long, Dean Pooley, Paul Lorraine and Shane Huke all played in the second half which saw trialist Darren McQueen score twice.

Apparently it was played at testimonial pace, so can't read anything into it, even fitness levels.

Thamesmead away on Tuesday. Only problem with playing all these sides is that it's not really an indicator as to what we will come up against in the season.

After the RH testimonial group claiming only a limited number of tickets for yesterday would be available on the day, just 635 turned up.

Anybody have any good info on ex - Whitehawk player David Ijaha. He's signed for us after a trial. I know he's a giant and has played well in his 2 games, scoring an impressive goal against Truro last night.

Didn't think he was much more than average, but could make the step up I guess!

We've signed midfielder Jack Powell (released by Millwall) after a successful trial. Apparently played well last night away at Thamesmead Town. Swindon were interested in him, but his other half didn't want to move there and he had a trial at Chelmsford but he didn't get on with Stringer!

Early 20s and nicknamed the Peckham Pirlo by all accounts. Five central midfielders for us now!

Hope we can secure Darren McQueen for the season. Will be a loan as he's contracted to Colchester.

Having known for a month or so (not told the name, but some clues gave it away), it's officially been announced that Peter Marsden is our new chairman.

He's been involved with Accrington Stanley for the last 10 years including the role of chairman for the past 4 years until taking up the role of club president earlier on this month (yes, he'll be involved with both clubs).

Jack Powell is far too good for the Conference South, he'll piss all over it.

To be fair, so is Danny Kedwell, Stuart Lewis, Jordan Parkes etc! Didn't fare well last season!

Fairly confident this season though. Built what looks to be a very solid squad. This Darren McQueen could also be an inspired signing.

Just need to get off to a good start.

3-0 away to Billericay. Didn't go, so can't comment. Think we have Folkestone next. Genuinely don't know how playing all these sides will give us an indicator for the season, but oh well!

Whitehawk away segregated. Not all that surprising.

Wouldn't surprise me if they decide to segregate us either.

We've finally landed Darren McQueen on a season long loan from Colchester.
