I honestly think Margate giving Nikki Bull a 2 year contract was a shocking idea

To much commitment for someone with very little management experience and nearly got them relegated

Weirdly I was one of 442 at Poole v Bishops Stortford on saturday. Poole very dominant first half, Bell-Baggie running the show really. Bishops Stortford came right back into the game second half, chucked their massive centre back up front (where he was actually better) and were possibly a touch unlucky not to get a point.

Very pleasant day out down on the south coast.

How is Bell-Baggie at this level? Very good talent. Played well against us too.

To be fair he was bloody awful at league level, so this is probably about right now I suppose.

Claudiu Vilcu was the big lad, he was on our books a few years ago but I believe he only appeared in cup competitions for us. How many Stortford fans were there?

Hard to say, really not a lot. There were around 12-15 towards the goal Stortford were attacking second half, so I'd imagine the number is around there.

Oxford City 0-3 Wealdstone (Att: 303)

Fucking get in! Oxford clearly like to play it out from the back and are a possession based team but they don't have the players to make it work - quite hilarious how many hollywood passes were made during the game from them, most of which didn't find their intended target.

Our midfield were different class again tonight, Danny Green once more being the stand out man. Technically very gifted, can accelerate but tracked back defensively and put in a couple of important challenges which could have led to chances at the other end. Matty Whichelow's pass to Green to open the scoring was superb, eye of the needle stuff which put Green through 1 on 1 and he duly dispatched. Oxford's heads dropped at that point and an errant pass allowed Whichelow to play in Koroma (also 1 on 1) who curled the ball into the far post. Elliot Benyon would finish off proceedings with a clever finish after a beautiful cross across the box from centre half Tom Hamblin.

Scott Davies (chief hollywood pass maker) was given a barrage of stick/abuse (wasn't a fan of the latter) by our supporters tonight. Dunno if he was trying to prove a point against us but he had an absolute shocker, basically justifying the stick he took when he was with us, ie. keep it simple! 'Footballing reasons' (his excuse for leaving us to join Oxford City) and 'What a waste of money' being chanted from the terrace in the 2nd half. Fair play to him though, he didn't coward away, was a man and applauded us at the end before shaking supporters hands too.

I've seen reports of 130 Stones at the game tonight which looked about right to me. 80 behind the goal and 50 along the sides and in the stands.

Bring on the Hawks!

1-0 up playing well, looking comfortable and not like conceding, opposition keeper gets sent off and they take off a defender. What do we do? Switch to defensive and concede an equaliser (from a player we released in June!) in the last ten minutes of the game.

We have the team to win this league, McMahon just needs to sort the tactical side of the game out. It's cost us a hell of a lot. I'll take the point and being unbeaten after 4 but jesus christ, we need to sort it out.

We will drop more points in the coming games if this continues.

No more than 20 Whitehawk fans. I didn't actually see any! Piss poor from them. Their Hawks Ultras twitter account (who do it for the love of the club and game apparently) tweeted they couldn't be bothered. Twats.

I see Welling's discipline hasn't improved since last season, 4 penalties conceded in 3 games is ridiculous.

Whitehawk away segregated on Saturday - we've been allocated the uncovered northern side (due to rain on Saturday), continual police presence and no alcohol allowed inside the ground. OVERKILL!

Oh well, I'll have a few cans on the train down and a couple of pints in Brighton city centre. Daren't get plastered as I can imagine an overzealous steward/police officer prevent me from entering the stadium.

Absolute joke of a club. Their fans will be allowed alcohol inside of course. It was the same for us in the play offs last season.

Ebbsfleet 2-2 Hemel Hempstead. 912, with around 20 Hemel fans behind the goal they was attacking second half. Fair play to those that made it, as their coach was cancelled during the week.

The first three games were fairly positive, last two have been a repeat of last season. Absolute dogshit.

While a lot of our fans seem to expect us to beat everyone, I'm a little more reserved. I know it's a weaker league this season, but we have to play to our strengths if we want to get out of it. We haven't done that.

Comical own goal to put us one up, with the defender heading it past his own keeper from the penalty spot. Did we take advantage? No. On the stroke of half time, we gave away a free kick on the edge of the area which Nathan Ashmore could only palm into the net.

Second half was even worse. Got the chance to go ahead from the spot, but Danny Kedwell had it saved low to the keepers left, a shocking penalty and two missed in two games now.

Finally went ahead when Sean Shields beat a couple of men before firing past the keeper from just inside the area. 30 seconds later it was level again. Long ball over the top and the guy running through had too much pace for our defence as he got on the end and then lobbed the oncoming Ashmore.

We had a chance to win it at the end with a free kick on the edge of the area. Instead of allowing Jack Powell take it (he scored a brilliant free kick in our first game), Kedwell blasted it at the wall. Game over.

Shields got man of the match. About the only player that deserved it. The rest were useless.

Daryl McMahon said after the game that it was shit and things will change. I believe it when I see it. At the moment he's just intent on chopping and changing. It doesn't fucking work!

Eastbourne away next Saturday, will be my last game for about a month. I'm quite glad too.

I had no enthusiasm for watching us before the season started and that's just got worse.

Oh well.

Whitehawk 0-0 Wealdstone (Att: 354)

Drab but a game we should have won. Midfield again performed well and Elliot Benyon had a couple of guilt-edged chances that I'm sure he would like to have back. Jonathan North had an unbelievable quiet game in goal as well as Whitehawk couldn't do much going forward.

Still no official away following despite being segregated, 150 Stones fans I'd guess.

Hey ho, still unbeaten and we're creating plenty of chances. Talk of a couple of high calibre additions being brought into the squad too.

2 or 3 decided to hide in the bushes overlooking the ground to avoid any public order offences, they were let in for free at HT. No money given to Whitehawk = job done.

Meh. That was our plan for when we go there. Really, really don't want to give that pathetic excuse of a club my money.

Forgot to post about our first defeat of the season on Saturday.

Wealdstone 2-4 Hampton & Richmond Borough (Att: 667)

Defensively we were awful and an inept referee didn't help either but sometimes you have to credit the opposition and say they were superb - I'd even go as far to say as they've been the most impressive side I've seen since we've entered this league. Harrassed, organised and direct once they got the ball, we simply couldn't cope.

Had it not been for two goalkeeping errors by Hampton and some superb saves from Jonathan North then the scoreline could have been embarrassing. 50 Hampton fans tops (piss poor).

However...

Bishop's Stortford 0-3 Wealdstone (Att: 465)

First game of the season missed. Sounds like we were well on top and deserved the 3 points. Goals from Omar Koroma, Danny Green and Eddie Oshodi.

Ebbsfleet 4-0 Margate. Typical, I miss a game and we boss it. Could have been more by all accounts! Healthy enough crowd of just over a thousand too. Not lost yet, hopefully comfortably win the other four I'm missing!

Off to Albania v Morocco tonight for our first of 5-10 games in three weeks in the Balkans. £3 a ticket.

^^^ Decent that, seen your escapades on Twitter.

This morning we officially announced the signing of Sam Cox from Boreham Wood, those who keep up to date know he was a regular first teamer in their promotion season in 2015 and I believe he was playing last year until GuyanaGate.

Poole Town at home tomorrow. Finally at home on Non League Day for once - it would be nice to get a 4 figure crowd.

Wealdstone 2-2 Poole Town (Att: 1,003)

Two points dropped and I'm surprised it's taken until the 8th game of the season for us to concede in the 90th minute.

Back to normal it seems, 1-0 loss away to Gosport with the usual style of play used. Chelmsford away tonight.

Three games in the Balkans so far, got 5 more to come, possibly 6 or 7 if things fall nicely.

If you boys could bottle it next Saturday too, that would be most appreciated.

Another loss. 2-1. Sounds like we could have been 2 or 3 down before we even equalised. Down to 10 and then they showed us how to finish off ten men after us bottling it against the 10 of Whitehawk earlier on in the season.

10th, six points from top having played a game more. Not looking like a side who wants promotion. Oh well. Back to Whitehawk again next season too.

Wealdstone 1-0 Weston-Super-Mare (Att: 626)

90 minutes that weren't pleasing on the eye but we've scrapped our way to 3 points. Nicely worked goal with Matty Whichelow and Omar Koroma combining together to set up Elliot Benyon for the winner and also his 7th goal so far this season.
