4-0 win over Faversham this afternoon, should have been more but that's largely irrelevant. £4,500 into the club coffers and hopefully another kind draw on Monday.

Just back from the game. We were very comfortable, especially in the first half. 2 great goals and a penalty. Brown with a great strike from distance and Sonupe with a cheeky lob over their keeper. Second half it seemed like Deeping changed to a 5 at the back, we switched off and they easily scored a corner. We seemed to wake back up grabbed a 4th before switching off again and conceding, then nearly conceding another a some awful defending from Horsfall but thankfully they skied it.

Great day overall, Deeping really welcoming club who just seemed like they were enjoying the day. Into the hat for the next round.
A record crowd for Deeping too! Watched a bit of it on the BBC stream, great shot for Harriers' first goal.

Boston 1-1 Haughmond

Haughmonds players don't even get paid a wage and they go to former football league team away and manage a replay.

Amazing result!!

Will be in attendance on Tuesday,
C'mon Haughmond!!!

Second Round Qualifying Round weekend.

We are at home to AFC Rushden and Diamonds.

Hoping for a half decent crowd for once. Crowds so far this season have been very poor even by our standards. Highest crowd so far this season - 596 v Blyth on opening day.

Confident of progression but we need to be weary of complacency and need to be professional. If we play like we have for our last couple of home games we will have way too much for AFCRD.

Well I didn't see any of that coming to be fair, leading 2-0 before getting pegged back to 2-2. Following on Twitter it was hard to tell how the game was, it seemed like Alfreton were the more likely to win it at the end but we held out for the replay (also praise to whoever runs the Alfreton twitter, seems quite even handed analysis compared to most teams we've seen). If you'd offered the draw before the game I would have taken it of course, but after being ahead till late it feels like a loss and a missed opportunity.

If we had a bit longer before the replay I'd give us a chance, but I feel like we showed our hand, Peaks had said he hoped Alfreton had watched us last weekend when we were apparently far below par. Alfreton will surely be better prepared and more able to take advantage of our make-shift defence. I seriously doubt that any of our injured players would be ready for Tuesday, and if they were then how fit and effective they would be. The rumour mill also has it that both Gyasi and Bunting carried injuries as they were subbed off! I guess on the plus side at least it didn't happen to any of our back 4.

You weren't kidding on the attendances, only 418 as the announced attendance. We've had a few dodgy looking attendances given in away FA cup games in the past. Given I'd expect at least 100 from us either no appetite from Alfreton fans or the type of book fiddling that isn't unknown in shared gate matches...

What a poor display an absolute disgraceful performance against South Shields. I think our manager got it all wrong with his tactics, we just had no movement from any of our players. It was like watching a team that had never played together before, it was embarrassing.

We just couldn't handle Shields! They were far too good for us, one thing for sure they absolutely deserved the win. On our behalf nothing really positive to take out of the game other than it was depressing watching clueless utter garbage.

Well done South Shields! Good luck in the next round.

Think that's a seismic result in NE non league football.

Just have to meet in the FA Trophy then, won't we?

Never been so embarrassed by an Alfreton performance as yesterday. Couldnt believe what I was watching.

We took complacency to a new level. Only a maximum of 3 players of the starting XI looked like they gave a shit. The rest walked round the pitch totally uninterested. Our manager got it spectacularly wrong. The amount of disrespect shown to you guys was hard to believe.

Quite frankly we deserve to be out.

Shocking performance.

Diamonds were fantastic. Very friendly travelling support and they gave everything on the pitch. First to every ball and showing 10 times the effort of our sorry lot. You should have won. After a excellent defensive display on Tuesday night v Brackley our two centre backs looked like they had never played with each other. You cut through our defence on at least 4 occassions first half. Nabil Sharriff who I was impressed by should have had a hatrick. Incredibly our manager refused to make any changes at HT. He is still very tactically naive. Finally he brought Craig Westcarr on with 30 minutes to play. We so poor dont think he touched the ball for around 10 minutes as we could barely pass the ball.
In the final 15 minutes Diamonds understandly began to tire and while we still tried our hardest to fuck it up we finally got a undeserved equalizer. After that Rushden really struggled and we had a couple of chances to win it before Bradley Wood who was terrible misjudged a long ball and Shariff ran clear and was denied by a superb save from Elliott.

Re the attendances - Their shocking and yesterdays horror performance wont help at all. Our fans never seem to be interested in cup games unfortunately.

We should be out. Simple as that. No way we can be that abysmal again and that very close shave with disaster should give the lads a kick up the backside.

Was at that game. Welling were really dire, especially during the first half when they went 1 - 0 down within ten minutes. Second half, they looked a little bit better and equalised, and then looked to have nicked the win when a tired Boro defender tripped over Welling's winger (who was probably their best player at that point) to concede a penalty.

The winger grabbed the ball, stepped up and saw his weak penalty easily saved. Boro went down the other end and Welling's defender wrestled Joe "Tank" Benjamin to the floor for a Haringey penalty. Gabriel - the player who'd given away the penalty down the other end, stepped up and nailed it in the top corner to give Haringey the win.

Yeah preferably in the final would be good, and providing we both don't fall at the first hurdle like?

Pretty poor performances from National League North clubs. Only 11 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses. Obviously a few were beaten by other NN clubs but a few shocks there as well.

Stourbridge away for us in the event of victory tomorrow.

Pretty tough draw what with their recent superb cup record but just glad to be in the hat after Saturday.

Unfortunately away in Wales on the 30th so wont be able to make should we progress tomorrow v Diamonds.

The draw is supposed to be regionalised so how come shildon get banbury away

North/South divide. Sudbury going to Truro is one hell of a trek!

As for us, excellent draw and a new ground for me. Two sides below us in the pyramid, if it's Burgess Hill that has train, beer, football written all over it.
