I don't know if it's the Premier getting stronger or D1N & D1S getting weaker but there does seem to be a bigger quality gap now. Although the overall quality of the Premier has been skewed by moneyed up vanity projects over the last few years like Billericay, Margate & Whitewhawk

Morning all. We are back! See you all next season.
Actually it's afternoon - accuracy will clearly have to improve for next season.

A sad day for Football yesterday as Carshalton were promoted despite ex-Sutton captain John Scarborough scoring twice.

What's tinpot with having a rivalry (or at least a historical enmity) with the closest club geographically and with whom you share a local authority? Not to mention it wasn't that long ago we were competing with other in the same division. Rivalries don't die due to current league position

Almost as tinpot as a club who were in League One not so long ago finishing below Sutton in the league
Yeah... no.

Like I said, very tinpot.

Guys, guys... you're both more than welcome to get yourself relegated a few times & join us down here but until then keep your divisional bickering in the Conference National threads :gr:

Carshalton, Lewes & Hornchurch all confirmed to return to the Isthmian Premier from the depths of the Isthmian North & South... Can't complain with that! One local side, one great away day & a team with representation on 1FF.

Bognor Regis Town confirmed relegation back down to Step 3 from the Conference South, fairly certain the Isthmian retains all of Sussex after the shake up so there's another decent coastal away game. Whitehawk almost ready to join them, not that we want them back but Brighton is another decent destination for an away game at least.

Billericay confirmed the title last night by defeating Halrow Town 2-0 at home & become latest circus to buy their way up the Isthmian, a move we invented back in 1998 (probably). It's all eyes on Dulwich now as they look to bottle the play offs for what feels like the 100th season in a row.

Back on planet Kingstonian: 2 games of the season left to play with Dulwich on Thursday & Needham Market on Saturday both at home - our final 2 games as outcasts of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames as we return to move in with Corinthian-Casuals at their King George's Field ground in Tolworth next season. Not sure there will be the same sad feeling as when we left Kingsmeadow at the end of last season!

Rumour is we are one of the West London border clubs between the Isthmian & Southern so could have a switch of regional division for the first time in our history. Another rumour is we are pumping in money next year to go for promotion but I'm not sure if that will still be the case if we go Southern as it might take a season or two to adjust from the scenery of Essex & Kent to the scenery of the West Country.

Let's hope you don't go south as I've never been to King George's Field.

If CC come up via the D1S play-offs then we'll be going there anyway in which case the league won't put both of you in the Southern.

Dulwich Hamlet and Fisher Athletic played in different leagues at the same level and the same ground so that wouldn't be unprecedented. I'm fairly sure there are other examples.

If we go Southern I'd imagine Corinthian-Casuals will too if they come up to step 3. If they stay at Step 4 they will probably remain Isthmian.

As a supporter I'd quite like a shift to the Southern League as it will be mostly new grounds/opponents.

An excellent effort by Hendon to finish 3rd and get a home leg play off against Folkestone. Might make my way to Silver Jubilee Park on Thursday.

Hendon or Harrow leaving the Isthmian Premier is a sign of the impending apocalypse so for that reason come on Folkstone
Well, Gainsborough Trinity have been relegated for the first time ever in their history, so all bets are now off!

Gainsborough doesn't count as they were at one point a Football League club. And they changed divisions back in 2004 when the north and south Conference divisions were created.

It's got to be Dulwich's year (said everyone at the end of April for the past few seasons). It's certainly in our best interests for them to go up so next year's Isthmian is more competitive if we are still around.

Is this the thread for the Evo-Stick league?

Crazy numbers for the top 5, here.

Finishing 5th with 97 points is pretty mad.

Regarding the name, we don’t use the sponsor names on here, makes it easier to tell which league is which since they’re all glue leagues now.

It'll always be Isthmian to me! Sometimes I slip & still refer to it as the Ryman League but never the Bostik League

Now then Paddy. You may very well "like a shift" but you have RESPONSIBILITIES to this thread (or at least next year's incarnation), so I'm afraid you'll have to stay in the Isthmian. Otherwise - if the Hamlet go up - it'll be just me and Riverside with the odd drop in from the conference boyz. And as us Urchins are about as reliable as an Icelandic bank that will mean the end. So I've had a word with Tracey Crouch* and she will make sure you stay EAST.

* Nope, me neither. Apparently she's the Minister for Sport and Tourism. Who knew? Well I just asked my wife and she did, but hey, she has a life.

Yeah, what Lurchin said !

The latest prediction for the structure has Bognor going west and Stortford in the Isthmian. So a toss up between going to a ground full of old and moany people (even older and moanier than me) or being transfixed by the monotonous regularity of FedEx planes coming in to land at Stansted.

Probably prefer Bognor but that would mean 13 trips sarf of the river compared to 0 this season, barring the FAT tie at Thamesmead.

I'd imagine our board (despite one of them owning a luxury coach travel company) are in agreement with you... more for the massively increased travel costs of the Southern than my inclusion on an internet message board thread, but still.

If Sussex is now proposed to be lost from the Isthmian catchment area I'd guess that South West London/Surrey are probably staying. I think previous incarnations had Sussex still as Isthmian & our area in the Southern probably due to our proximity to the M3 & M4

Welcome back, Hornchurch :)

Yeah, Ryman's acceptable I reckon as it was such a long-running sponsorship, and also easier to say than Isthmian. When Bostick have been sponsoring it for 20+ years it might merit the association with this silly league, but by that point we'll be smashing Sutton in the Football League (shut up, Jared) so we'll have no need to reference it.

Similar to the league they've rebranded as the National. Nah, mates, you'll forever be the Conference.

This has been a very weird season for Ks (though quite good on a personal note - I've barely been to any games yet witnessed a 6-0 vs Harlow and 4-0 vs Needham Mkt). The end of season form was much improved so Dynan deserves some credit for that, but I'm still not overly sold on him. I've no idea to expect from next season, really.
