Boston are a weird one. Really slow start, got a bounce with the new manager and there seemed to be talk of the PO's then manage to drag themselves down towards relegation again.

Tough for Trinity to come back. Second worst GF and GA isn't a good mix...

I'd say todays results kill off Play-offs for Chorley and Southport.........Stockport right in mix though with blyth losing and spenny/york not playing.

and for all the very very good comeback for Salford (a big morale booster) the worry for them is Harrogate just ain't letting up, they will still class it 2 points gain on them.

Tamworth look in deep deep deep trouble, think their fans know it as well, i'd say the game at Curzon today was for them 'do or die' the only slight hope i do have for Tamowrth is normally when a side goes without a win for so so long when they do grab one i find it follows with 1-2 more which could drag them out of it................if they of course get a win between now and end.

What's going on at Salford? Seemed well clear at one stage and their patchy form seems to have been going on for weeks now, yet still digging in there. A case of Harrogate blowing any half chances they're given by them to overtake?

theirs fans on their forum have been saying all season they don't look that good, just strong and solid......and of course opponents seem to panic in the last 5 minutes of games and i guess sit back en masse which has seem them many times win/draw games late on.

but seems they started running out of that luck.

0-0........Yawnnnnnnnnnn! What a boring and disjointed performance, I wish I'd stayed in the pub.
Nothing exciting happened on the pitch today, other than another gained point and a clean sheet.

Pears once again and Trotman were the only standout displays. Obviously the defense stood their ground after Telford threw everything at us from mainly start to finish. No Syers today which clearly stood out like a sore thumb, Styche looked lost without him, he didn't appear for the second half, which we heard something was amiss. Saunders replaced him, which for me was a bad idea, just doesn't offer anything up front.

Turnbull was a bit surprising, quite a few of his reliable passes were just going astray. Even Josh Heaton at times fluffed his lines which is somewhat rare, dare i say it but Galbraith was pretty steady today. The game was similar to the Tamworth match, but at least that game we created a few chances.

Today's game we created absolute nothing, I think overall Telford supporters will feel hard done by with the scoreline, for all the possession they had they never really threatened us, other than a penalty shout which clearly was a dive.

Fantastic support today down at Telford after such a long journey, be interesting to see the official away figure from Telford with one of their better attendances of the season? Must have been a good 250 Darlo in that away end. Lads of the supporters coach didn't arrive until 3.15ish.

In all fairness to Salford with their grit and determination of not giving up, that comeback must go down as surely one of the best of the season, unbelievable to pull 4 goals back. We came back from being 3-1 down at Kiddy with about 11 minutes left of the game.

We don't deserve a playoff spot anyway

It is quite an ironic twist with Bradford at the moment.

This time last year BPA went from 100% certain down to going n this stunning run and somehow getting midtable from being in the position NFU were at christmas.

This year they are looking damn damn lucky they got to 44-45 points before going right back to the same horrific run they were on over 12 months ago, they 'should' be safe based on having 45 points, but their shocking form collapse may suggest they looking over shoulder.

Stockport were the best team I've seen at St James' Park this season. Outplayed us for parts of the FA trophy match we won 2-1, and haven't seen that all season from anyone else - not even Sutton who are now top of Conf Nat. If Stockport get in the playoffs on a roll they could be very good. Blyth seem to be going the other way...

Think I posted a few weeks ago about how many goals Salford get late on.... Someone more knowledgeable than me did the specific maths on it - it amounted to 10 points from last gasp goals I think. Yes that shows grit, but also a bit lucky isn't it? Still fancy them for their title with their easier run in, but their form is starting to give out doubts. Would love to think Brackley are still in with a shout, but we've got a fair few hard games coming up, and unlike the top two, we don;'t convert enough close matches from draws to wins. The two Christmas draws against Lemington - both of which we should of won - feel painful now. Also just signed 3 loan forwards for the rest of the season - now have 8 strikers at the club - what's that about!

I think teams just decide to sit on it vs Salford and then their quality and fitness punish teams for it, think you just have to gamble keep pushing up.

Agree on Stockport, when we drew 1-1 they played some superb stuff just somehow didn’t grab a second and that flogged them two points

Stockport were a little underwhelming against us at Edgeley Park when we on the ropes and there to be tonked. They still edged us 1-0

Apparently we had a clear the air meeting on Thursday on training while Chris asked not willing to try their backside off for the club were asked to go. Nobody left and wnatever was said clearly had the desired effect.
Real chance now the Easter period to get some real breathing space. First up all depends which Kiddy turn up on Tuesday night. Gutted I cant be there.

Well, I said we had 2 'must win' games last week and thankfully we managed it and without conceding a goal too.

Game against Boston was a bit of a farce due to the timewasting antics of Boston keeper Jon Stewart. Got his just desserts though when we scored with 5mins to play.

Saturday against Leamington we were excellent, particularly in the first half. Front 4 just tore them apart. Questions over the keeper though. A better keeper could possibly have kept the first 3 out!

Starting to build up a head of steam now with BPA and Tamworth to come over Easter, another 6 points would put us right in there before some tough away fixtures in April.

Everyone's (rightly) picked up on how dreadful their keeper was. However, we shouldn't overlook just how bad their number three was too. The fact that he was a bit tubby and balding just made it look like one of the dads had been given a game.

I've worked out how the rest of our season will pan out: We'll go on an incredible run from now until the end of the season and get ourselves into a position where a point at home to Darlington in our final game will confirm our play-off spot. Gannon will be struck by one of his 'eureka' moments and start Jimmy Ball upfront, whereupon we'll proceed to lose 1-0.

Just call me Nostradamus :cool1:

BPA 0-1 Telford at half time is a massive game down bottom at the moment.............Bradford are absolutely horrific presently, their manager must be getting close to the sack.

This how table looking if it stays like this (I expect so as BPA seem useless)

12. BPA 45 (35 pld)
13. Nuneaton 44 (34 pld)
14. FCUM 44 (36 pld)
15. Boston 43 (33 pld)
16. Alfreton 41 (35 pld)
17. Leamington 41 (35 pld)
18. Telford 41 (34 pld)
19. Curzon 40 (33 pld)
----------------
20. Tamworth 39 (36 pld)
21. Gainsborough 34 (35 pld)
R 22. NFU 17 (36 pld)

A few interesting matches tomorrow night - especially for the title contenders and the promotion pack.

Alfreton Town vs Kidderminster Harriers
Brackley Town vs Boston United
Harrogate Town vs Spennymoor Town
Salford City vs Blyth Spartans
York City vs Southport

Why not? It's just a minor blip. You stuffed Spennymoor last Tuesday 3-1. It's not too bad, 2 defeats in the last 10 game's. Absolutely wide-open this season the battle for the play-offs.

Tonight should be interesting with it been the 1st game since the vote.
Plus we haven't played for 2 weeks and Super Jon comes back to BC as Southports No2.

Well That's happened quick.
Jackie McNamara has left the club with immediate effect and Jason McGill is retiring from his role as club chairman and will have no further involvement in the running of the football club.
A new board has been established to run the run with the need to produce a breakeven position whilst maintaining the aspiration of success.

Glad to hear that, perhaps York can get back to the Football League before next decade? (Or realistically in the next 4-5 years...)

Striker Frank Mulhern who played a handful of games for us earlier this season arguably had his best game for the club last night!

Well we might, but since no-one knows where the money is coming from to keep us going into next season, I wouldn't hold your breath.
