We were shite.
Weak & asleep defending for the first goal and then two big individual errors by defenders - first mistake by Ellis Myles ludicrous
Perked up in the second half, but even vs.10 men we still didn't look good.
Positives - with only 3 pts needed to secure 3rd place, and no point chasing 2nd now, then can rest players more. A couple looked shattered today. Kick up the backside to not get arrogant.
Negatives - We need our best 11 available. Chief goal scorer Aaron Williams off the boil, and without him, there are not many goals in the team. Some players look knackered and squad too small to rotate.
Well done to Alfreton - should book your place in the division for next year, and you can only beat what's in front of you. Craig Westcarr deserves to find himself a new club - getting sent off for something he said to the ref after a nothing tussle - when your club's in the position Alfreton found themselves.
Fair assessment. I think we caught you at a good time.

Couldnt agree regarding Westcarr. Shocking from a player of his experience. Should never play for the club again and needs to decide if he has the hunger to continue.

Just came to comment on Alfreton, turn up for the books!

Most definitely . Nice win local derby bragging rights and an important win for FGR too yesterday

Them two results for Alfreton and Gainsborough mean we 'have to go again' after i felt we maybe were safe tomorrow in another big home game......think one more win from these 4 games should be enough but who blooming knows with this ridiculous league.

I think the fact Telford/Tamworth/Gainsborough ply each other should mean 48 should be tough to catch because they have to drop points.

Great point for us at Leamington, it drags them into deep trouble also as their last 3 games are vs sides chasing play-offs and Salford....mind one is york so that gives them 3 points.

Could have grabbed 3 points, had a shot cleared off line.

To tell you how bad we was yesterday we had a player who we signed as a left back up front yesterday along with a centre back for the last 20 mins when we actually had a forward on the bench. Gray has come out and said he never brought him on cause of the fans giving him stick in the warm up.

From our website for our game on Tuesday at Spennymoor

"As things stand this game will still be played at Spennymoor Town. As a result of a string of postponements, Spennymoor must stage a pitch inspection on Monday morning. Should the pitch not be playable at the time of that inspection, the game will be switched to an alternative venue. We’ll advise supporters of any changes as soon as they’re confirmed."

We're now playing at Harrogate tomorrow. This comes hours after Spennymoor put on their website that the game was being played at their ground.

Curzon 2-2 Nuneaton

Well another crucial point, but a killer goal at the death could cost us dearly.

Bland first half really, Nuneaton in holiday mode, us working hard but nervous at making errors, a bad injury to Cummins means he’s now probs out for season, and we’ve also lost the 2 lads we got in jan from Stockport who had added the creativity so we now really struggle to look like scoring.

Still we worked hard and got some luck when a supposed cross went into net, defended well enough, sadly they levelled when a player just kept running through about six players all too worried about a foul to tackle and slotted into net.

1-1 half time and personally felt then we’d just have to battle for 2-3 draws to get points. Second half started like first neither throwing caution to wind, then we kicked on for another go, pushing hard but creating little bit our pressure paid off with a pen and goal.

After that game was a superb agonising exciting affair with Nuneaton playing the Exact role you get from sides in their positon now.......not working hard to score, but dangerous as they can gamble and throw players forward........plus we were always wary of that mistake.

A 3rd and game over as Nuneaton would not be fussed to chase it, but at 2-1 it was agony with fans around me pretty much mouthing defensive instructions the rest of half, seemed to ride game out then bang a kicker at the death.

It’s a point but was our best chance of win, now little going forward so gonna have to scrap for that other vital point

Gains I’d expect to win tonight, but bloody hell Blyth and Spennymoor have been right crap vs the rubbish this season (until both thump us this week)

Not the best set of results for us especially if Leamington beat Chorley on Thursday.

Still I think a point on Saturday will be enough for us.

Think Gainsbrough may get out of it still.

The key is what happens on Curzons trip to Blyth and Leamingtons trip to York..whoever loses could drop.

Good point against the best Stockport team I've seen since we've been in this league. We edged the first half but wasted a lot of time, they piled on the pressure and got the goal they deserved, but we hammered them after the goal. Back 3 were immense yet again.

Totally agree, both sides on top in different segments of the game, both keepers made top class saves, think County settled for the point after they scored and we could easily have snatched it after that. Back three were brilliant as they have been all season. Hopefully one or two players will get a rest on Thursday for the Leamington game. Well done Chorley.

I'm just glad he left, he's currently out of his depth and the cracks are now beginning to show. Blessing in disguise really MG fucked off to York.

Who gives a shit what is going on with the playing side frankly? The problem is above MG, he can vanish tomorrow along with the players we would still be stuck with the puppet board and Jason McGill making the decisions, no doubt he will be made a scapegoat for them seen as they're running out of people to blame, the Trust, the ex-SLO, the fans, only really MG left to give a good shoeing to.

Those fuckers will need to chuck serious cash at it if they're going to make an impact in the National.

They brought in a mixture of experience and youth to take this title by fetching in 15 player's - one or two could be on loan. So i would imagine the next hurdle shouldn't be a problem with the injection of cash that no doubt will be put on the table. Money talks :£:£ for the fuckers.

So we have title race over now and really i'd say play-off places sorted now.....even if BPA/York could catch a lack of games is going to cost them.

all that really is left is Relegation battle (well and lay-off order) but god-knows who is going down as it changes each match due to a ridiculous amount of shock results recently....even Southport dragged back into it now.

the weird thing is the sides with the toughest on paper fixtures now seem to have teams who may rest half or all side due to now having little to play for or to rest for play-offs or too many games.......teams with easier fixtures sort've have the games where both are having to battle like hell for points.........am unsure which type of game i'd rather.

To be fair we have 46 points now so if we do go down i cannot blame team too much, 46 is a decent total in a 42 game season and really it normally is enough...just one of them weird seasons most of the league isn't too far quality off each other.
