I don't need to take it up with Wembley. I saw the attendance figures that were released at the time and yours are wrong.
I'm sorry Star to disagree with you but Ash in the Stroud News & Journal writes:
"Noble lifted the National League gong in front of 3,000 ecstatic fans from Gloucestershire."
Lady Magpie, our historian offers no FGR attendance figures but total attendance at Wembley was 18,801.
But no matter, the FGR choir out-sang Tranmere as we did last month at Prenton Park and will do so again in both upcoming matches against this other Rovers team.

With all due respect SNJ Ash is just a rank poor local journalist, he knows less than the Tranmere fans.
Anyway lets hope for a cracking game Friday and Monday and let the best team win.

John Busby is the first leg referee. Failed to send Dale Bennett off for a cynical challenge on Jake Kirby when he was already on a yellow in the NL 1-1 at Prenton Park a few years ago. Suspect not strong enough to clamp down on the visitor's use of the dark arts if Forest Green adopt a similar strategy to the last game.

Dark arts!
Dream on.
But it is music to all FGR supporters that you guys are getting unsettled by FGR's normal game play.

The impression I'm getting is there may be fewer at this game than there were at the Good Friday league fixture, even allowing for the anticipated greater turnout for Forest Green fans.
I am not sure why you would think that. We have sold about 7,000 already, two days prior to the game, and pay on the gate is available.

The truth is we actually had 12000 at Wembley, 8000 were sleeper agents on a covert mission in the Tranny end. to infiltrate enemy lines and cause a riot/abandonment when activated if we were losing.

As it turned out they weren't needed as we SMASHED them on the pitch anyway.

This proves that in reality WE are the bigger/better club. .:bdick:

Or something

6573 was the last figure I saw quoted for sales on the Trust website. It’s good you can pay on the day, as wont know until late today if I can get to the game.

Isn’t it strange that your opinion of a club you quite liked can be changed by a couple of nob-head posters on a forum.

I almost want FGR to cheat their way to Wembley to see the reaction here.

Almost.

Tbf our average gates have grown, 2700 this season is up around 1000 from 3 years ago, with our average home fans around the 2000 mark. Last season the support held up pretty well despite us being down near the bottom all season. Comparisons with Cheltenham are a bit unfair given the size/location of the two clubs. Would the likes of Cirencester or Yate get 2000 if they got into league 2? I very much doubt it. Let alone the likes of Shortwood, Brimscombe, Bishops Cleeve etc.

Given our location and catchment area that's pretty good going I would say. If you'd have said 5 years ago we would be above a few teams in the league 2 attendance table I'd have been very surprised.
all them places you name are they all off midsummer murders ? swa swa

You are wrong. It was a league match and you were 2-0 up when the floodlights went off. We won the rearranged game, which I agree would probably have been quite irritating at the time. Oddly before this season's league game against Tranmere at the CG when I was walking to the ground, a number of fans were having a vocal moan to anyone who would listen to them about that floodlight failure of 25 years ago. Seems that burn still lingers up in the Wirral.

I've said it before on here, but those play-off games with you still live long in the memory banks!

Wish you’d get your facts right. Not a play off game, a regular league game and the score at the time was 1-2 not 0-2.

Actually over 7500 presales now. The figures they have been quoting don’t include away sales.

It’ll be 10-11k unless there’s a spike. Better than the league game but still less than I thought.
