In Tranmere's favour, we only scored two goals or more at home in a league game six times in the regular season, achieving that feat no less than thirteen times away from home. We only scored two or more at home against one team in the top half of the table, which ironically was Tranmere. We are an away team.

I fancy us to score this evening, but probably only the one goal, if our defence play like they did for the majority of the game on Friday we could be heading for extra-time and penalties.
fair points raised although i would add the game at your place came after a long distance away game on the sat i think so dont know if the team travelled up and down twice , feeble excuse but the bast i got , swa swa

The first half in the home league game between our teams was about as well as I have ever seen us play, at home we are often a bit ponderous and despite having the ball for large amounts of time can take a while to break down the opposition defence and create chances. We play far better against teams who come to TNL and actually try to attack us. If we score early tonight the game could be a classic, unless Tranmere sit back and play for extra-time and penalties.

One things for sure Fridays injustice has got us a lot more fired up. Sell out crowd as well. Can't see us being ponderous this time, players are absolutely gunning for it (apart from Gav Gunning obviously)

You could counter that stat with the fact we’ve conceded three goals in I think nine away games this season in all competitions. All that goes out the window when it comes to the playoffs IMO. Could see this coming down to whoever best deals with the nerves. If we can snatch an early goal we should comfortably defend our lead, if FGR get one, I could see us crumbling under the pressure.

think we have more of a goal threat all over the pitch , confident we will score and play a lot better than friday night , although i think there will be every dark art on display tonight by both teams ,,, swa swa

Injustice is a bit OTT, Maybe Norwood could have been sent off, but so could Doidge, penalty claims for both teams turned down, result a fairer reflection of the play than the Good Friday game. Doubt we’ll keep a clean sheet, the outcome hard to call. Wouldn’t fancy us on penalties only had two all season.

WUM? Fuck off.

Listen to our management, players, local media etc. All are saying the world was against us first leg and it's creating a siege mentality that will fire us up tonight.

I sense a bit of needle on here, hopefully that transfers into the ground/game and we have a really good, entertaining, hard but fair match like the Mansfield game last night.

Don't give a fuck about them being petrified, just want us to come out and go for their throats straight away, which we rarely do at home. The anger from the first game might change that.

Rumbled, we were going to let the cows loose on you. And that little donkey that hangs round with the horses. (Not a Gav Gunning reference)
Just hope they don't start throwing accusations our way if someone has forgotten to move the Llamas from the field over the road and they get spat at while parking their cars.

I dont mind the siege mentality tbh. Footy is played as much in the head as with feet and if your lads come flying into challenges not thinking about what they are doing they are not concentrating on playing football... aka jay harris

Yep, hopefully we can keep our heads and let FGR lose theirs again. The kicks and elbows proved we riled them last time, but I think the ref will be looking to keep that stuff in check.

A mature performance needed tonight.

Why is Mark Cooper wearing Stone Island, is he leading Chris and Co on the rampage for the Wirral Warriors at full time?

FGR struggling here now aren't they. Very slow and sideways in their passing as though that goal has knocked the confidence out of them.

That's how we always play!

I wouldn't be surprised if Tranmere get another.
