Couldn’t you of waited a couple of weeks till we appoint one, think most will apply for both.

You're fine our chairman and 2 players are taking over till the end of the season:shut:

"Senior players Jimmy O’Connor and Russ Penn will join Colin Gordon in overseeing first team affairs for the remainder of the season. "

The way the Harriers is run now is an absolute joke, too many blunders in so little time. All which needs to be said really.

Joe Ironside did nothing and not sure what’s happened to him at kiddie but looks slow and lacking confidence.
If Billy Heath gets the job it will be end of me,can’t stand that way of playing football.
Dont worry. We are stuck with Heath for the foresable future I fear

York could do a lot worse than appoint Chris Moyses. Certainly an improvement on Collins especially short term

The football wont be pretty but not to Billy Heath standards Minsterman Central.

He isnt faultless. But he will get the dressing room on side deal with any egos and get a team spirit going. His teams can tire in the latter stage of matches which was a feature in his time at Lincoln and to a lesser extent with us.

He has a good eye for a player too. He isnt fond of the media either.

Not sure if Moyses would be a long term solution but I am damn sure he will keep you up

To be honest never really heard of Chris Moyses, club been a car crash lately and appointed is probably biggest in history fans are leaving in mass.

Go for bloody Flanagan.

I don't understand how any club at this level wouldn't, he left Curzon due to non result reasons (just grumbled too much over lack of financial support team wise)

York need someone for once who can actually manage, get most of of the players, have a good knowledge of type of players needed down here, play a style which works and has not just relied on a mass of cash to get by.

2 promotions, a superb win percentage, passing football, a motivator who defied odds for 3 seasons keeping a side on 150 gates at this level vs much bigger budgets with no money and constantly losing key players.

Fans are calling for McFarlane to go. The performances these past 3 months have been woeful. Didnt make the journey today and was glad I didn't.

We can keep the ball fine but we have no attacking threat. No team should play a game and have no shots is inexcusable. Need to act fast but I can't see it happening.

It's a good job you didn't make the trip. The fan's that did make the journey looked absolutely shell-shocked in the away end. That's not the Kidderminster Harriers performance that I'm familiar with.

Well pointed out!

I think there is one key fact that John Flanagan has been overlooked for some strange reason?
Obvious reasons that we couldn't go for him, but the guy deserves a little bit of respect after seven successful years at Curzon.

I think it’s some general football thing from the past 10 years which has drifted down all levels which seem to have put some arrogance to clubs going for managers working way up. You seem to have to win titles to even get a shout and then it’s normally about 6 months before ousted.

So clubs these days just ignore managers who do well and go with their constant collection of short term burst managers who float around the same division for years at numerous clubs., or go for managers who have results but frankly had so much money they never managed anyway.

A shame the days of hard working managers deserving a break have gone because those guys can do 100 times better than the short term guys but need 1-2 years to build it and clubs/fans don’t allow it thesedays

I would be happy with Flanagan we def could and probably will get worse.
Interesting times ahead,McGill will either get someone very promising to win fans round or a complete clown.
New ground will be here for next season and that should be a good pull for any promising manager.
Least the chairmen is not running team like kiddersminster, that would send fans into meltdown.

Superb post. Would love Alfreton to go in for Flanagan

I see Darrell Clarke has been linked with the York job. Cant see him being tempted by that.

I would love for Flanagan to come in at Kidderminster if he was willing to relocate down to the Midlands.

Sam Hird who signed for Alfreton on non contract terms has signed for Barrow despite Mr Heath saying Hird had injured his knee and was out for the season...

Oh and then we have cancelled the contract of Craig Hobson after a handlful of apperances. A player we rather foolishly paid a fee for.

And to top it off we have signed a young raw 18 year old kid on a 1 month loan from Mansfield - Nyale Blake

We are not going to achieve anything season and are very in the mindset of stumbling to the finish.

Craig Hobson has rejoined Ashton United.

I see also Andrew Nelson has returned to Sunderland from Darlo.

Bit of a blow ahead of Saturday`s clash.

We are both so inconsistent I have no idea what is gonna happen. Both destined for a mid table finish I think. How many do you think you will bring Darlo fans?

He’d be a massive loss for any team in this league. He was different class and clearly too good to be here, but hey he helped us to points against Alty, York and Ashton.

Looking forward to the weekend, we have quality in our squad in the likes of Thompson and Nicholson both of who bagged good goals against Kiddy on Saturday. I do always worry about us being bullied by teams though, we’re not the biggest of sides, and if you get in behind our fullback and cross from wide areas we’re very vulnerable as Alty found out.

I’m sure styche will get a good reception from the 150 or so darlo fans I’d expect to go along.

I fully expect around 250 to make the journey down. Hopefully we can get 3 points, gutted I can’t be there this weekend.

Only missed one game since September. Hopefully DarloOnTour and the other lads can have a beer and have a good sing song for me.

It was always on the cards he was eventually gonna return to Sunderland. He got injured at York so their was no way he was gonna play against Kidderminster.

Certainly was a bit of a blow he was like the Lionel Messi of the National League North.

In a nutshell DSL that sums us both up being sometimes good and sometimes bad. Very inconsistent, much having to do with poor communication between our managers and players?

I like the Impact Arena It'll be my third visit on Saturday. I always remember my first trip when we won 3-0 we took over 400, we were singing can we borrow some seats. I think last year was 339? I'll be disappointed if we can't take 250-ish or thereabouts.

I'm looking forward to seeing Styche again, well providing he doesn't celebrate in front of us. He should get a good reception from the fan's.

What a second half performance today, Alex Newby back to his best and another good performance from Josh Wilson. Recently we have been poor in first half, but brilliant second.

Was hoping at half time that you were on the verge of wasting your game in hand on us but alas no.

Interesting stat on our messageboard - we’ve gained nine points on you in the last 15 games - if we do the same again in the final 17 matches then we would pip you to the title.

We are getting their slowly with another valuable point gained - But i felt utterly deflated leaving the ground after the match. It really was a game of two halves we didn't really click in the first period and Alfreton were slightly the better team with a couple of chances they had, especially Styche he had a reasonable half chance, other than that we kept him quite for most of the game. A very poor first half, typical, they were kicking towards us the first half. And all the action in the second half was at the other end.

Maddison's opposite number, Ramsbottom had to be alert on numerous occasions with some fine goalkeeping in the second half - He made some blinding saves i lost count on how many he pulled out the fire. I think DSL must be thankful for his keeper's excellent goalkeeping.

I was a bit wary seeing Ainge back in defense - But for me he was easily our man of the match, closely followed by Smith and, also Thommo and Saunders & Nico were lively up front. As the final whistle approached we came really close to winning the game.

I thought the referee was very whistle happy and booked anybody that moved - Other than that he was okay. It was good to see Styche get a round of applause at the final whistle.

Great away end at Alfreton one of the best in the league i think. Decent following of Quakers about 230 got announced.

Two points dropped for us. Once they were reduced to ten men it was pretty much an attack v defence training session.

We equalised after going behind through a soft one but couldn’t play our way though a brick wall for a winner, fair result I suppose. Amy Fearns was in charge and by hell she threw in one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve ever seen.
