Our pitch is a disgrace by the way.

Tbf ours wasn't great when we had Saracens playing on it and didn't have the money to improve it.

Probably will have to be - then play Man U or Wolves in the week which might be an issue itself as Man U are in the league cup semis.

Forecast isn't great and my garden fence has just been blown over... not sure the pitch will pass an inspection. Hopefully it will, we've got a congested fixture list as it is.

Game now on 23rd January - like this week 2 days after a league game.

Basically if we somehow win this replay Wolves or Man U will get a bye into the 5th round!

Unless that game gets pushed into mid-week?

Be a nightmare ticket wise etc. for either club!

Wolves and Man u would sell out either game and they aren't knowing for being shirking violets!

Predictabley tonight’s fixture at Prenton Park is off. Contrary to popular belief the club do employ full time ground staff. Apparently the problem with the pitch is down to global warming, wonder if we’ll be appealing to Greta Thunberg to save our turf!!!!

Gutted, as I am away on 23rd but would have been able to make the game on 4th round weekend (which seemed the more logical time to play it). If we go through, I have got no idea how we will shift 14,700 tickets in two days !

Absolute madness of a reschedule, surely they could have done better than that! The non-league FA Trophy takes priority over league games, why shouldn't the FA Cup? Hopefully Blackpool win tonight to rule out the possibility of a thousand or so of us having one day to make transport arrangements to go there on the Saturday if we beat Watford on the Thursday.

Coventry will be playing Birmingham at home, in Birmingham.

Seems like the ground will be split half and half. Should be a unique one! Shame the BBC didn't fancy it.

What do you think the crowd will be?

Probably fancy your chances on current form..

Well done Shrewsbury - good luck against Liverpool.

From what has been leaked, we'll have the Tilton and the stand we are in currently. Blues will have the away end and the old main stand.

Makes sense to do that as there will be enough seats for both, Coventry still get the 'home' advantage by having our usual set up. Birmingham will have the away changing rooms and we'll run the matchday entertainment etc.

Coventry and Birmingham splitting the stadium in half is great. Surprised the FA have let it happen as the rule states that away teams get up to a maximum of 9000.

8500 Birmingham tickets sold.
9500 Coventry tickets 'sold out'.

Great that they've been able to split it in half. Shame that they have to block off 10,000 seats for segregation.

Nice! Great win, even if Watford weren't really trying. Felt like old school Tranmere again... crap 90s pitch, floodlights, fog and a cup upset. You can't beat it

TBH I am surprised we took it to extra time.

Andre Gray was the captain for us - says it all.

Did any of the young players look good ?

I thought Quina stood out and Hungbo had a bit of pace and aggression. However, for the most part you played like a team of strangers, which you probably were in fairness !

Felt like Watford didn't really try for the most part. You had a good spell for ten minutes in the second half, but apart from that, the most guile shown was when the keeper went down clutching his face to try and get Ferrier sent off. I think a better league one side than us would have won by three or four in honesty, but Pearson knew what he was doing with the team selection. The idea of Man United turning up on our shit tip of a pitch is mildly entertaining - they'll be queuing up not to play(!)

Well done Tranny I’ve only just spotted this result.
Cracking reward for you with Man U at home too.

Likewise well done to Tranmere.

As for our game, "Only here cuz its Oxford" as Newcastle have sold out the home areas for our game :ds:. We will likely get towards 4,000 for the game. Both clubs agreed to very cheap prices (£10 for an adult ticket and £5 for concessions) which is of course the real reason and Steve Bruce has publically said he wants a cup run so they'll be putting out a strong team. So I'm not optimistic for our chances tomorrow.

Also, according to the local Newcastle Rag, our game is one of those selected for the delayed goals/key moments highlights on Final Score tomorrow so a bit of extra cash with that as well.

Still, best part of £200k from tickets alone can't be too bad!

Birmingham fans booing their team off from the away end. Taught a footballing lesson from the league 1 tika taka specialists.

We beat Barnsley 4-2 and the result flatters them if anything. They were dreadful at the back and I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing them again in League One next season.

Lovely. I'll take that and we have a chance but my impression is very rarely do the lower league team succeed with a replay. If nothing else it is more cash for the club and hopefully on TV to boost that.

3,710 Oxford there and by the sounds of it had a great time.

As said above good results for Pompey and Coventry.

Brilliant atmosphere at St Andrews. 'Sell out' crowd of 22,000.

12000 Coventry fans and about 10,000 Birmingham. Felt like both sets of supporters were away. All stood up all game.
