That was my first visit to Vicarage Road. A crap game and you had David James in goal is all I can remember of it ! The gate was definitely about 7-8,000.My first ever game was a 0-0 draw v Tranmere on New Year's Day 1992 - probably the only reason I remember it.
There was probably less than half the attendance from yesterday that day!
I think I have been five or six times six then. I read yesterday that your win in 1999 was hugely significant to your promotion that season. I can barely remember the game, which just shows how opposing supporters recall matches differently.
Prenton Park is a decent ground and has been spruced up a bit since the new owners took over five years ago. The ground was rebuilt for Championship / (potential) Premier League football in the 1990s and was ridiculously big when we were in non-league. However, there are suggestions a new stadium will be built in the next few years.
