Don't come on the saturday, you won't see a game! Sunday 2pm kick off, for no reason whatsoever.
Its cos the bbc thought sunderland would get through and wanted to show them

Fancy our chances even less now, with most of our midfield on the treatment table. Not what you need when playing top of the table Wycombe away.

MA has said they'll be changes for us after last weekends no show but we don't have a game on Saturday (should have been Bury) so there's no real need to rest players.

Still without Morrell (well done to him last night for getting to the Euro's with Wales), Lewis, Bostwick and probably O'Connor so the midfield pairing will be weak again, containing either a young lad and/or those coming back from injury and nowhere near match fit.

fair enough I hadn’t checked as I honestly thought we wouldn’t get through. Given our recent history with you we should expect 2 draws and a penalty shootout then

To be fair, playing a side that can't score or keep a clean sheet, it ain't difficult. Add to that , our cup run in non-league used about 30 years of cup wins, and you couldn't really fail.

Can't even score playing 4-1-5!

Another game where we've created enough chances and not taken them. Strikers needed in January!

Welcome to tier three
To be fair, our problems (conceding one practically every game and not scoring one or more practically every game) would hurt you in any tier of football. I do agree, the step up is proving a problem for quite a few of our squad!

I was referring to the need of a striker, virtually every tier 3 club needs one.

Oldham away on Saturday for us.
Hoping we get the job done and at the first time of asking. Oldham won away at Newport recently so are no mugs.
I think all of us league one clubs just want to get in the draw come Monday night (assuming it's then) and hopefully pull out a plum draw that makes a few quid and gets on the TV.

Genuinely no idea what to expect from the Donny game at the weekend. Positives - it's a game against a side we know well, and we're at home. Negatives - they're probably a better side overall than we are, I can't recall the last time we beat them at home, and on paper they're one of the harder sides we could've faced in this round, considering the amount of non-leaguers still knocking about.

It'll almost certainly be a draw.

1-1.

Boston @ home Sunday. Doesn't count for much but our record from their time in the league is pretty good.
I'd hope we've learned from our struggles against Wrexham in round 1 and can put this tie to bed easily.

Well if we got beat it would go down as our most embarrassing defeat in our FA cup history, even worse than getting beat by Sporting Coventry in 75. I can’t see this happening though and I’m one of our more negative posters.
Hope Chichester enjoy their day out and get the warm welcome they deserve having played in all the preliminary rounds since August, a remarkable achievement in itself.

Yes, they started in the extra preliminary round. There can't be many occasions in history that a club has started that early in the competition and made the second round.

We’ve got a bit of a central defensive crisis and can’t score at the minute so you should be fine

Mansfield at home for us.

A couple of weeks back we had a game postponed against Doncaster due to international call ups, so I ended up getting the train to watch Macclesfield vs Mansfield instead.

Probably was the worst game of football I've ever seen, almost fell asleep standing on that open terrace at one point (not even joking).

Fancy us to beat them quite comfortably as they were nowt special and I think there's a lot of criticism of their current manager which can't be helping.

Salop 2-0 Mansfield (Norburn, Okenabirhire)

Walsall away for us. Don't know how it will go even with our form at the moment as it is a Cup game. Sold over 1000 tickets so far and estimations of 1300 been made.

I believe that with Maldon & Tiptree also in the 2nd round it was the first time since extra preliminary round was introduced that two sides starting out in the very first ties have made it this far in one season.
I think only one team have ever made it to the 3rd round starting from the beginning and that was Chasetown in 2008. By doing that they played in more FA Cup rounds than finalists Cardiff and Portsmouth!

I actually watched Chichester last weekend at Phoenix Sports. They were good going forward and thought their right back looked decent. Defensively they were a bit shaky and their keeper was barmy. Anything into the box or a through ball and he was out. They won 3-2 but the 2 they conceded were down to his mad charging out, one from a through ball and one from a corner. He got away with 2 other corner balls which he charged for and got nowhere near.
I asked their fans who were there if he played like that usually, apparently yes. So watch out for him.

The Boston **** squad has arrived in Dale. Stone island an pyros ahoy. Always class filming yourself shouting “XXXX is a shithole” at pensioners out shopping :fl: . At least it’ll look good on the Away Day Banta pages. Surprised they weren’t singing in Polish tbf.

The BBC aren’t renowned for accuracy of information and they’ve called our performance as woeful so far, I suppose they had to get something right
