Marc Richards sacked as manager - Tim Harris to take temporary charge until we find a replacement. Wonder who is about who would be interested. We have a decent squad, with the right manager in place I think we could end in the play offs.

Seems very harsh after one defeat.

Been coming for some time. He is tactically inept and cannot react to changes during the game. He was lucky to keep his job after the season.

What’s disappointing from the board is that he was given the budget to spend and then sacked after three games. Should’ve been either replaced pre season or given 10 games.

Glad he’s gone as he wasn’t going to be a success here but baffling timing from the board.

Seems very harsh after one defeat.

Wasn't just based on this season, though, fellow Dave.

We won 2 of the last 10 games last season and, for the majority of time he has been in charge, the attendances are falling, the atmosphere has become increasingly antagonistic between him/board and the fans, and the brand of football has been worthy of being prescribed as a Nytol replacement in NICE Guidelines.

He should have been given the boot as soon as it was confirmed we were safe last season.

Should never have sacked Beadle, but I doubt any of us will ever hear the truth about what went on there.

Yeah, quite bizarre. Either give him 10-15 matches or so into this season, or blow him out in the close season just gone. Don't let him blow a huge budget and leave all of the new signings dangling just 3 matches in - probably half of them won't be fancied by the new gaffer as is always the way.

could not go tonight, but listening in on Curzon radio. 2-1 Curzon at half time.

Sounded an uneventful first 30 with Darlo stronger but neither doing much, then a madcap last 10 odd mins, Curzon come into it and score, but fall into the trap of taking foot off pedal after a goal and Darlo punish them 2 mins later only for Darlo to do the exact same thing.

Game as yet could go either way, sounds a lively atmos considering crowd size

I am not in any way a fan of Marc Richards, I thought he should have probably gone at the end of the season but why let him have pre-season, let him & harris bring in their own players and let him have a very competitive budget for him to be sacked just over a week into the season? Can't understand it.
I am hoping for a much more qualified person for the job, but we shall see. Must be the right appointment this time.

Unacceptable performance after 30 minutes and beyond, well and truly put in our place by a clinical Curzon side, albeit from the generosity of our lovable defense. What a shambles!

Not one of Josh Heaton's finest performances? But being replaced by Err!............Galbraith  His first touch of the ball Curzon should have gone 4-1 up.

I didn't expect this result after the mauling of Kettering on Saturday, we looked tired and out of our depth against Curzon apart from the first 30 minutes or so, and then we collapsed like a pack of cards with sloppy defending. And got worse in the second half.

A candidate for man of the match couldn't really name one other than Hatfield worked his socks off to no avail, Bascome once again not too bad, put his passing let him down tonight a little bit. Thommo had other plans on his mind? Missed an absolute sitter from where i was stood behind the goal.

Are we beginning to look too inconsistent already? We got bullied at Farsley i wonder what happened tonight Mr Armstrong?

Gotta mention the Curzon gang of about 20 singing away with the drummer in the corner. Great stuff  They Never Stopped!

No chance of going either way, we were firmly put in our place and could have been beaten out of sight. Job done with ease!

Was a daft appointment in the first place, we were pissed off he was given the manager's job when Harris left. No experience at all. Was a lazy appointment I felt and reeked of how our club used to be run.

Apparently he's a nice guy and I'm sure he'd get up off a bus seat to let a little old lady sit down but football is a results business. When he was with us the football was bland, boring to watch and ultra defensive and that was never going to change. He totally fucked us over when he went, leaving us in the mire with no keeper after playing silly buggers with Derby over Matt Yates and taking most of the backroom staff with him.

He still has his "actual" day job at Hartpury which personally I feel will always come first before anything else.

Smallest club in this league, but the best footballing side imo.

Having seen one and listened to two others the league this year seems wide open (apart from BPA being bottom)

Games seem very even battles and finishing seems vital.

Very surprised at how solid Curzon have been, not only was their mainstay manager gone this summer who used to steady the ship, but due to age a large chunk of Curzon long stay experienced players who formed the spine has gone.

In cane youth players, couple of reserve players and a drab of experience and it’s blended superbly with Curzon still having that one vital ingredient many in this league would like.........a very hardworking team ethic.

Should see them comfortable

I suspect our youngsters will be given another valuable lesson tonight by Spennymoor unless they learned very quickly from the Southport game on Saturday. At least its enjoyable to watch this season and they should improve as a team as the season progresses.

Lessons learned, so far anyway!
Guiseley 3 -1 Spennymoor

I can't remember the last time we had a striker that could out play and out muscle James Curtis. Congrats to Aaron Martin

Felt like our club died for me today.

Actively staying out of my football club until the clown is out at the top.

We're in trouble, we have 12 senior players, 2 of them loanees. Jimmy and Penn don't look like they'll play for us ever again so rules those two out. How has it gotten to this? I could write you all a very long story.

Gordon sold us all a dream, feel sorry for players like Moyo, bet he didn't know what he was getting himself into. Pemberton doing a superb job in the circumstances, wouldn't be surprised if he walked, and I would not blame him.

Well done Mr Watson believe you have finally turned this club round, brilliant following tonight.
Tait,Moke and Ferguson are totally different players this season.
Whether we carry on doing well is another thing but new signings all look good,

York looking v impressive from what I’ve seen so far, but much more worrying for Blyth. Surprised to see Darlo off to a slow start, thought Armstrong had build a good team but still plenty of time.

Strange but memorable game last night! Missing Myrie-Williams still and Jackson and Robert due to suspension, wasn't overly confident. Opening twenty, like against Altrincham, we were awful. Kiddy stretched the play and within fifteen minutes were 2 up. Chambers with a simple goal and Weeks with a decent 25 yard effort. Had a horrible feeling it could finish 5 or 6 nil.

We then actually start playing and Marlon Jackson hits the bar. A minute later Joe Parker breaks free and fires it into the opposite corner, 2-1. A few minutes after that its equal as Kotwica drops the shoulder and squares it for Jackson who gets another goal this season. Going into the break you could see the Kidderminster players heads had dropped, to the point where they were out on the pitch getting a bollocking well before the second half kicked off.

Second half and Thomas is sent through, he's taken down in the box but amazingly the ref gives a free kick right on the edge and gives Moyo a yellow. However after discussing with the linesman he awards a pen and Hanks put's us 3-2 up. Moyo really should have gone though as the last man.

In the dying moments a late surge by Sam Austin, who I thought was excellent by the way, sees Kiddy awarded a pen. From where I was, looked like Hamilton won the ball to me. But anyway, Chambers takes it and Jeacock makes a cracking save. Seconds to go Kiddy have another chance and somehow Jeacock keeps it out. Phew.

Great win for us especially with the players we had out.
