Styche on twitter "Goes without saying that I am absolutely over the moon to sign with a BIG club like @HerefordFC a club that are doing things the right way! Cliche central but honestly can’t wait to get started and playing in front of a crowd again! "

:fish::lol::fish:
Not left on the best of terms then? To be frank never looked like he wanted to play for us in the first place. Hope we got a decent fee and move on.

Be interesting to find out the identify of our signings as I have heard rumours of our budget being cut to Step 5 levels.

Styche is an utter tit but good for 15 - 20 goals if his head is focused.

First new signing for Alfreton - Defender Ryan Qualter from Boston United. Replacement for Luke Shiels I would imagine. Decent enough signing. Shows to me ambition is to avoid relegation rather than fight for promotion though which I am ok with.

Seems Billy Heath is to remain as manager.

In two minds over that. Confident he will keep us up but not looking forward to the hooof ball.

All of our announcements so far have been re-signings and we haven't got enough to field a full side yet, but the main spine is retained anyway with plenty of National League experience at both South and North level. The team last season was full of, mainly crap, loans thanks to Todd so a major rebuild needed.

Keeper:
Tom King - Can only see him as back-up. He's 40 and hadn't played for 2 years before we desperately got him back! Amazingly he played 5 NLS games and was in the team of the week 4 times.

Defence:
Spencer Hamilton
Sam Avery
James Unwin

Midfield:
Joe Hanks
Josh Thomas
Chris Knowles

Forwards:
Joe Parker
Zack Kotwica
Jake Jackson

No word yet on Noah Smerdon, he was heavily linked with FGR last season and trained with them and also had trials at Watford. As far as I know though there's been no offers and it's his future education that is holding up any decision.

Looks like Hereford are going for it,also signed Alex Bray from Rotherham that is a fantastic signing, quick skilful very dangerous winger.bit lightweight though.
Wish we had kept him but change of managers did not help him.
With him on right wing and that bellend up front will do well.
Ps hate Styche

Already in the confirmed signings thread, but we've signed Kevin Roberts from Wrexham.

Second "new" signing for Alfreton as we confirm the permanent signing of former AFC Telford defender Dom Smith. Delighted with this. Great peace of business by the club

How's the York Chairman getting on? Is he still there? Stadium ready soon?

Obviously a load of bollocks about your budget being cut back to step 5 levels then? Looks like the chairman is going to continue the bankrolling despite noises to the contrary. The same will happen at BPA too. They're always going to slash the budget but never do.

On to Darlo news, apparently we have 5 signings nearly completed, hopefully they will be done and announced Tuesday/Wednesday. No prizes for guessing that they will mainly be or maybe all be Blyth players.

Our boost the budget is going well with nearly £78,000 raised out of the £80,000 target (we raised £86,000 last season) - it closes on May 31st and I think we could beat last season's total especially if we get those signings over the line during next week - should boost optimism.

To be frank never looked like he wanted to play for us in the first place.

He was enjoying his time at Darlo and was a bit of a cult hero, so i think it stung him a bit when we said we had to sell him, he really didn't want to go. Alfreton never stood a chance of getting the best out of him if he didn't really want to be there in the first place, but he still scored a decent amount of goals for you in his short time there?

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I am not sure if its down to big budget cuts or a new guy wanting a clear out of the 'usual hands' but curzon have lost alot of their usual steady hands over the last month, most of the regular been there for last 6-7 years people.....suppose in some cases it was starting to tell they were not quite hitting the same levels anymore, but its a big gamble.

Ashton United are going to absolute own Northern Premier league, I have limited non-league knowledge having only been this level for 3 years and even i can tell they have made 5-6 superb signings for that level.........where was that budget last season?!?! they only needed probably 2-3 decent players to have survived.

I think South Shields might have a thing or two to say about Ashton owning the NPL - well, if they're in the same division (I haven't checked)

I think there has definitely been some budgets cuts and a lowering of expectations. Whether they are to Step 5 levels I am not too sure. Probably not as I cant imagine Billy Heath staying on in those circumstances.

Boston has signed keeper Peter Crook from Hyde. Has previous experience of this level with Harrogate. Boston putting together a useful squad. Jury out on Craig Elliott though

Alfreton`s third new signing is experienced centre back Shane Killock from Bradford PA.

Seems Billy is going for some much needed solidity at the back. Now to find some goalscorers

Decent player if he can stay fit.

We had him on loan from LUFC about 4 or 5 years ago and the fans loved him. We signed him permanently when Leeds released him and I think he was injured in pre-season and he never played that season. Definitely good if fit.

I’ve been to that new ‘community’ stadium the other week, looked a bit off to me.

Hmm, I can see your point. What's with the colour of the seats?!

The colour of the seats are appalling and all the fans are playing hell, but got to the point that after 12 years just want to move in.The view of main stand isn’t very visible and that looks good with good corporate boxes, the small stand behind goal reminds of Crewe and is awful.
Chairman is still around backing managers, still divided fan base because he doesn’t communicate with us? but everything seems better at club but mainly to do with having a proper manager.
Watson has been a breath of fresh air and sticks up bully boys in fan base.Guiseley Away this season some players were getting verbally abused he went straight over and ripped into them.

Calamity Laing is gonna be one of them isn't he?

Yeah but don't forget how tinpot as fuck that this level is. He did alright at Blyth and won player of the month in March.

I'm probably in a minority but I like the colour of the seats. It's different.

Darlington yesterday completed the signing of 29 year old left back Michael Liddle from Blyth.

Reading comments on twitter from Blyth fans they ranged from "gutted" to "best left back in the league" so it sounds like a solid signing.

Might as well just hand us the title now.
