Ten points from the last four games so I'm not complaining.

We seem to have learned now how to win against the bullying type of teams that were turning us over not too long ago (not York). Away at Farsley today was closer to rugby than football but the lads found a way to win.
Ibid. But we haven't / didn't.

Decent match today obviously the scoreline doesn't do us any favours, but we missed some excellent chances to put the game to bed. Reid, Campbell and Donawa all had good chances to bury Spendymore! And Wheatley had a cracking effort tipped over by Gould. No surprises he got man of the match.

It's a very long time since I've seen tape been used to separate away fan's from the home fan's, what a tin pot club. Even the so called ground improvements of the barriers was cheap and nasty. And the famous Spenny slope on the pitch for me didn't look any different from last season.

What a fiasco with the stewards outside the ground it was their first game as well, with fans pics on a sheet of paper :err:

If you don't take your chances, they will make you suffer. And Spenny did just that.

Huge game for us tomorrow at Curzon Ashton.

Yet another blow on top of our injury problems with the news that defender Josh Thacker has left to pursue a career in the US.

Several rumours swirling around at the moment about our future. Things have improved on the pitch in recent matches but its still 7 without a win and only 2 wins since September. Really need to be recording three points but I have a bad feeling and think we face a nail biting finish to the season.

Curzon are not good. On todays evidence I think Blyth might survive.

An Improved performance from us. A much need win and clean sheet and well deserved.

Shame Amari got sent off and will miss the trip to Darlington. Amari has 17 goals and Bobby Johnson is our next top scorer on 4 so its going to be tough.

Another team that isn't all good in Gloucester City. We should have finished them off well and truly going into the break.

I'm not sure what goes on in the dressing room during the break, but the second half wasn't pretty to watch from where i was standing. Then again who gives a shit I'd takes those wins all day long, needed to bounce back and we did.

Will Hatfield what a signing the player is like a breath of fresh air. I hope we have the sense to give him at least a 2-year-contract. He's far too good for this league.

Deserved win for us today. Guiseley didn’t manage a shot on target and barely managed one at all until just before added time. Should have been more to us really.

Love the Guiseley fans accusing Waring of feigning an injury whilst he’s spending the night at Bradford A&E with a double fractured cheekbone. :ffs:

I say GuiseleySteve i was looking at The Lions Team of the Decade! And it was good to see Will Hatfield making that line-up.

Best bit of business we've done in year's signing - Will :brill:

You looked a solid, very well organised team, one of the best I've seen this season to be fair. Wednesday on the spud field in Farsley took it's toll, we weren't quite as athletic as usual.
I hope Waring is soon mended, not nice to see any player genuinely injured. Our fans reaction more likely associated with the previous 8 times a Chester player took a five minute nap to slow the game down! Fair play - it worked.

He's been fantastic for us. With him in the side I can see us getting into the play offs, as we've now got a bit of momentum behind us and the poor early season start (3-2-6) and massive injury list, is now a distant memory.

The only complaint I can have about our side is that we just don't score enough when we're on top. For example yesterday we should have been 5 up at half time. But as it was only 2-0 Gloucester still had that little chink of light and it felt like we were hanging on at the end.

First win in 7 games isn't it. Have to say I was getting a tad concerned for your team, though I saw that you did hold Kings Lynn to a draw and they don't drop points all that often.

Good luck for the rest of the season Liam, and hopefully those Bury rumours are just that.

Thanks! All the best to Cambridge too.

Yeah we have had chronic injures problems for 3 months now and have been on a bad run recently. Seems to be rinse and repeat the same season. A very good start, a terrible run and that scrambling enough points to survive. And that seems to be were we are heading again but what makes it worse is there is no cup run this time.
Several rumours swirling around about the future of the club and our Chairman which I wont divulge on here but safe to say things may be changing soon.

NYD win over Leamington and our first victory under James Rowe but a defeat at Darlo on Saturday. Poor first half display but grew into it, unlucky not to salvage a point as scored in injury time but ruled out. Robert went to hospital with a foot injury but seems like he's ok.

The Leamington game we absolutely bossed the opening half hour, same as the Telford game the week before, but thankfully found the net this time round.

Since Rowe took over we've looked far better going forwards (most of the time) and kept possession better than under Mike Cook but we still need some bolstering to the squad. Could do with another forward and we have some players who just haven't done it (*cough* Myrie-Williams) who we need shot of.

Our away form is utter pants though, haven't won since Kidderminster at the beginning of the season!

Glad we held on for the 3 points. We should have been out of sight in the first half with the chances we created.

Just seen that you have broken ground on the site at meadow park today to head back to Gloucester. Great time for your club. What's the plan re moving there? When will it be ready? Is Evesham okay for Conf North Standard? Was there early in the season, nice little ground but emphasis on it being little.

Hoping to be back ready for next season, it's gonna be a 3G pitch and the stands are pre fabricated so no need to build from new. The guys that own the club own construction companies so hopefully they can meet the deadlines!

Evesham to my knowledge won't be good enough anymore, so whilst the club aims to be back next season a ground share needs to be in place at another stadium that ticks all the boxes before March 31st to satisfy National League requirements. Groundsharing anywhere is horrible, especially when it's outside of your own County and a 50 mile roundtrip, but Evesham is a horrible experience so I don't think anyone is going to be too disappointed even if the "groundshare" to appease the league is further away. Hopefully it's just a paper ticking exercise anyway.

Great news. Can sympathise about having to travel out of town. Although Bishop Auckland have a lovely ground and we made some great memories there getting through the league it was horrible having to leave darlo to watch home games. Hope your new ground provides you with a better solution than our return to the town has.

I had wondered after our trip there earlier in the season it was a lovely little ground at Evesham but very basic.

Look forward to visiting next season seeing you in a 3rd ground (Cheltenham, Evesham and) hopefully next season meadow park. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

That's stretching the truth a bit to say you scored but it was ruled out - given that the whistle clearly went, everyone heard it, everyone stopped, and then your player lashed it into the net. They don't count as "ruled out goals".

With your actual goal, it came from a corner, which came from a corner dubiously awarded after the linesman was flagging furiously in the build up to it.

You were time wasting at 2-1 down, what was all that about? Don't think I've ever seen a losing team constantly time waste through a 2nd half before? I suspect it was when we were about to launch a counter, and was to prevent that.

TBH you didn't deserve any goals due to your negativity, it'll be a long while before you get your next away win if you always set up like that away.

Alty 3 Blyth 1, very comfortable win, they scored 92min from a freekick when we had rested the attack who really should have had a few more. tbf Blyth tried hard enough but their defence was clumsy and disorganised, midfield weak and attack toothless, apart from a decent right winger,... can see why they are where they are. Long way to come to get the run around so fair play to the 6 fans who came.

Totally agree, he's surely gotta be a contender for player of the season after some lively and energetic performances over the last couple of months. I think the play-offs are well within our grasp in our current form. It's took a bit of persevering and patience. But we are now heading in the right direction.

Exactly, another example was at Spendy should have gone 3-1 up with the chances that we missed. But yeah it was squeaky bum time once Gloucester pulled a goal back. We can't keep on doing this we need to put these game's to bed. We should never have been hanging on.
