Edit - just to say I was all for video technology but they way they’ve implemented is ridiculous. Has to be deliberate. They must not want it so are making as many bullshit decisions as they can until teams vote to get rid.

This actually makes me curious, as I cannot for the life of me remember a single VAR decision going our way this season.

That decision to disallow the Pukki goal is what's finally turned me against VAR. I've been all for it for the most part, mainly off the back of the 2018 World Cup proving that it can work really well. But the Premier League's implementation is farcical and just seems hellbent on taking all the fun and excitement of the game. And that's even before I get onto my growing suspicions that it's not being used as objectively as it's meant to be.

We're going down anyway, but if it's only by a point or two then there could be hell to pay.

The Liverpool goal was the correct call as it was clearly shoulder but the Wolves one overturned because of a fucking hand offside is a complete joke, should be down to just if your foot is offside in my opinion and also if it’s really tight then the decision should go to the attacker.
Still fancy Wolves to get something out of this though as they always seem to raise it against the big boys as Man City know all too well.

It's laughable how poorly VAR is being used in the Prem. It works fine everywhere else. Bizarre, we've seen something being used correctly and gone, nah this way would be better. Honestly the only explanation that makes sense is that they don't want it so are implementing it in the most bat-shit crazy way to put people off it. Absolute shambles.

This is the thing, they're not even acknowledging the margin of error. It's why cricket has "umpires call". It's why in tennis hawk-eye hasn't replaced line judges and works on a challenge-based system. The whole point in VAR was to reduce the number of clear and obvious mistakes... not to spend ages nitpicking at millimetres and even then not really being sure.

Yep, should definitely have been disallowed, I didn’t see the Van Dijk one I was talking about Lallana’s shoulder.

Have to say as a neutral Wolves going forward are bloody good to watch, Liverpool very good though at falling over the line this season they seem to be hanging on most weeks but always find a way to do it.
