I don't think Luton suffered losing Nathan Jones so no reason why you shoukd give a shit.
Infact Jones is now pretty much damaged goods as he seems to be screwing stoke up royally.

Waiting for him to be sacked so he can return to Southend. Just so we can sing 'Nathan Jones, you been gone too long.'

Well mate not sure what to expect from you lads this weekend. This is the kind of match I hate, you have lost 6 on the bounce, we are playing pretty well so it all points to you getting something from this game. We did'nt much from you last season so a draw will be an improvement, wish you well for the rest of the season - after 5pm Saturday !

God knows how we'll be, Waddock is in caretaker charge for the game, says we are 'going to play differently'. Seems it was only Kevin Bond who thought this group could play high end tikka takka out from the back.

I'd take us scoring! think we'll still lose but the players will look more like they want to be there. 1-2 Fleetwood.

I'm going to be at Gillingham-Wycombe so I'll keep in touch via text updates from someone who does go.

You fortunate individual!

I know Wycombe are unbeaten but I still fancy us for a win here. We're playing alright and are dangerous going forward, we just have issues defending. Another week of fitness into the likes of Lee, Marshall, Mandron and Pringle has got to be a positive, and I think we'll only get better over the next few months. I'd go with the same starting 11 from last week - dominated Tranmere for the first half, a few of the aforementioned (key players) ran out of legs in the second.

Bonham
Fuller - Ehmer - Ogilvie - O'Connor
Jones
Byrne - Pringle
Lee
Mandron - Jakubiak

3-2 Gills.

Yet to concede at home Lincoln vs yet to score away Bristol Rovers!

Despite the managerial change, I don't think too much will, in and around the squad. We'll just run with what we've been doing so far this season and previously. Got enough senior heads in the squad just to keep it as it was and carry on as normal.

As for the man to take over, unless a curve-ball is thrown in at last minute, it seems it's between Michael Flynn and Gareth Ainsworth.

Ainsworth would make more sense out of the two surely?

Yeah, probably edges it due to having promotion on his CV and L1 managerial experience.

I think he's got 3 years left on his deal so I suppose it depends on that and how many others he'd want to bring with him (he mentioned he has 5 or 6 of them in an interview earlier in the week).

Of course the £1m is there from DC/NC so it's more a case of how much we'd be willing top pay rather than if we can afford it.

Ainsworth will almost certainly be nabbed from us at some point, don't think it'll be by Lincoln though.

He has a bigger wage budget this season than he's had to play with for a while, and we've started strongly. If Lincoln throw a load of wedge at him then you never know, but for example he turned down the Barnsley job, who are a bigger club than Lincoln, so it can't be only cash that would change his mind.

I know he has playing history there too, but surely as a manager you have to be cynical enough to see how quickly that goodwill can evaporate.

We'll see though, can't really begrudge him either way when it comes time to move on.

I can't see us causing that many issues I mean we've gone from Kevin Bond to Gary Waddock lol

Big test of where we are tomorrow. We’ve had some tough games against teams expected to be in and around the playoffs but they’ve all been at home. I’m not expecting anything but a loss although I’m hoping it will be a tight game.

Waddock's not terrible, he got us promoted from L2 without a super-sparkling squad - but on the flipside, he signed really badly the season we got promoted under him, and we went straight back down - he went for quantity not quality, which I don't think ever ends well.

So a lot depends on whether your squad is decent, but just underperforming (in which case you might be OK), or whether they're actually shite players (in which case you're in trouble).

We take our unbeaten, 7 points from 9, away record to London Road, Peterborough. They're a good team, who seem to have hit a bit of form after a shaky start. However, Dale wins there are not unknown - the last five seasons have been L-W-L-W-L, so it may be "our turn" again...

I expect us to line up as follows:

Sanchez

Matheson or Keohane (choice between a 16yo wunderkind or a quietly competent utility man who has been a bit of an unsung hero this season)
O'Connell
McNulty
Norrington-Davies

Williams
Morley

Pyke or Rathbone
Camps
Dooley

Henderson

Subs: Lynch, Matheson or Keohane, Pyke or Rathbone, Andrew, Ryan, Done, a n other

Not a draw, both teams to score, one goal winning margin - 273 away fans...

I'd rather a win and a defeat than two draws (3 points beats 2, obviously).

But may as well be hanged for a sheep as a goat, and get 6 points... :)

My oldest son went on a Gillingham training camp thing over the summer, as part of it he's been given free tickets.
Trying to think about the syllabus of a "Gillingham Training Camp"...
Module 1 - "Large Scale Meccano in Stadium Construction"
Module 2 - "Serial employment of Hessenthalers"
Module 3 - "Suitable Mourning of much-loved Chelonians"
Module 5 - "Supplying Pies to Coaching Staff"
Module 6 - "Your New Career with AFC Wimbledon"

(Module 4 - "The Care and Maintenance of Ponytails" has been discontinued due to the equipment having been exported to Humberside)

By far the better side first half, only one team trying to play football unfortunately we haven’t taken our chances

Maybe we could give you Leonard back. That would help us both out.

Deserved the win vs wycombe, very poor from both teams in the 1st half, we were much the better team and half.

Was expecting much more from wycombe considering their start all the did was fall over a roll around for ages

Whilst we were poor again in terms of creating chances, the referee was a joke. We were denied a stonewall penalty for handball and the Rovers penalty was embarrassing by Nichols. This form needs addressing.
