We have our GK, Curtis and Mccrorie all called up. Would have probably played it, had Harness not been injured yesterday. No fit wingers for the game.
In all honesty it wouldn’t matter. Bolton’s kids are better than us

Boring, boring Fleetwood. Zzzzzzzzz. Decent side, technically very good and well drilled but predictable.

We were excellent out of possession. There was a reason that Fleetwood kept passing the ball sideways and backwards, which is in part why they ended up boring us all to tears (not that I care if we win) because they weren't brave enough to try anything else.

First shot on target for them, what, 75th minute? And at that point, we should have been three up.

Bit of a nothing game really and a comfortable afternoons work. Certainly not battered as Barton suggested.

The only thing Barton has battered are fellow managers. That and the youth players. Lucky he is still at Fleetwood . They are non league in disguise so they want the profile. Put them on the map and all.

Bit harsh to call Fleetwood non-league, they have very good infrastructure these days.

Even without Pilley bankrolling them, they'd probably survive in League Two no problem these days.

Yeah always thought Fleetwood have come up built on more solid foundations than the likes of Crawley and Salford.

I was at the game, first half Cods dominated but as per without an end result. The Imps first goal came out of the blue and I suspect shocked EVERYONE in the ground. Second, a total balls up by the Cods. Both goals well taken by Walker. Second half Cods still pressed but Imps came more into the game, but both lacked any real quality or finishing skills.

In summary a VERY average team beat a below average team on the day. On that display both teams should be content with a mid to lower table end of season.

Football aside, first visit to Lincoln, nice city, very friendly locals.

Jealousy and bitterness can eat away your soul, just be proud of your club as I am of mine (both league and non-league)

So we lost again last night to Orient in the shitty cup 2-0 and Bond refused to do any interviews after. WTF is he still doing here. The worst manager I have seen at the club in my lifetime.

The only things to be jealous about Fleetwood are your training ground. And your owner. Now it's only your training ground. That's it.

Which ours will be built over time. They will drop down the leagues eventually.

Its always a compliment when (local ) fans try and slag you off. Fleetwood can never match Preston or Blackpool's history and and no point in ever trying. I know loads of Pool fans and theres always good banter, my son-in-law is a season ticket holder at Bloomfield Rd and he's renewed after years in the wilderness with Oyston.
As pointed out we have a good infrastructure, Andy Pilley and Steve Curwood have been a superb partnership for many years which give the club the stability sadly lacking in so many other clubs. Believe me we are very fortunate and never take anything for granted

You're older than 21 aren't you? Bond has a ways to go before he sinks to the depths of Alvin Martin.

Tangerine Tart "Which ours will be built over time."

I have to admit that when built, it will undoubtedly be impressive, as it's planning stage has been active since 1953. In the interim, I did hear they added an additional wheelie bin to the current training ground shower block.

28. My first ever game was under Alvin Martin (4-4 draw with York) and I was also Mascot when he was manager too (2-1 win against Carlisle) but I was too young for me to be taking note of how the team was doing and how the manager was..I don't remember at all

Paul Warne bigging up our manager in the press and basically saying he is too good for us. Not sure what he was hoping to achieve as there’s no love lost between us as it is. We still are without an elusive number 9 and Anichebe is still undecided on his future and his weight so it could be January before that gets resolved. We aren’t struggling to score at the moment and the football is enjoyable to watch especially as we are scoring late in the game rather than conceding as we usually do. I expect a typical derby game and a 1-1 draw.

I doubt he is trying to wind rovers fans up seeing as he lives in Tickhill.

Warne is genuinely too nice for his own good sometimes and is always quick to praise the opposition so nothing new in this TBH.

No, please no.

Firstly I don't think we'll even approach him unless he resigns. Ron won't be paying compensation to anyone. We'll be getting in someone without a club.
I'm sure he'd bring 'passion' but I'm not sure he's strong enough to deal with some of the senior players.

I'd be more than happy with Sol Campbell, think we need a bit of an ego to come in and sort out some of the senior players at the club who have clearly thrown 2 managers under the bus and got them out.
Parkinson is another interesting one, his Colchester links wouldn't please all, then his style wouldn't please all but he'd surely do a solid job.

My next game is Milton Keynes, I was going cos I've got cheap train tickets and well, just because. Now at least I'll have a bit more hope.

He's 2nd in the betting right now, with Phil Parkinson 3rd. Adam Barrett is favourite but as I said unless he's coming for free or a few packets of crisps Ron isn't going to stump up the compo.

12 kick off for Wimbledon match tomorrow :ffs:

Wifey wants to go to a cheese festival at the stadium arena at 10am. I usually go and drink a few pints before a game, not stuff a few tons of Stilton down my neck.

Still, anything for a quiet life and to get to the match.

A toughie for us tomorrow at Wycombe. Not very often you get a Lincoln legend managing in each dugout!

No Frecklington (groin) or Pett (knee), having not been fit since the start of the season. Morrell and Lewis are away on international duty with Wales and Wales U21 respectively.

We'll revert back to the normal starting XI having rested as many as we could midweek against Doncaster in the Cup.

I'm assuming Wycombe have had some financial input somewhere because their squad doesn't look quite as thin on the ground, quality wise, as in recent seasons. Some solid signings this summer.

Bit of confusion our end with Wycombe tickets because it was announced after the postal deadline that it was all ticket, which didn't help and then it got changed to being able to collect on the day at Wycombe but order via Lincoln. We'd sold 700 or so before the announcement so I'd be surprised if we made it to 1,000. Still a decent effort after an expensive August with lots of local games people went to.

We need a manager who is leader and who it’s going to be able to pick up the players who’s arses are currently on the floor. That is Barrett... loved everywhere he goes, born leader. All the players when Barrett last was here wanted him as the next manager then of course it’s a different team now but just shows the respect he commanded from his peers. Sol done a good job at Macclesfield but there’s still question marks over him. He’s been turned down by so many jobs he’s only a got a few months more experience than AB as manager when I weigh it all up for me AB is much less of a risk than Sol

Disappointing not to win from the position we were in at half time.
