Four clean sheets in a row, unbeaten in the league and sitting pretty in second.

Considering how last season went, I’m over the moon so far.

Hello Coventry, we join you in drawing 0-0 with Bolton.

The difference is the draw was a fair result. On the face of it, although a bad defeat for Bolton on Saturday, that time together I reckon helped the experienced players become more cohesive. We were awful though and the only players to play ok for us were Simon Eastwood, Rob Dickie and John Mousinho.

Fair play to Simon Grayson he got his tactics spot on we just couldn’t get going, the late goal was harsh as I thought a draw was about right but given the number of late goals we’ve had this season I shouldn’t complain

Great result, dug deep in second half.

Feel as though we've now played the best L1 has to offer, despite some key players lacking fitness/missing. Fans are expectant. Proper fancy us for the league.

Credit to Tisdale who switched to 4-4-2 at half time and we gave them a right battering for 45 minutes without creating too many clear chances. Pretty impressive organisation at the back for the Tractor Boys but I still don't understand how number 21 stayed on the pitch as he was never more than 3 feet from the ref's ear and must have had half a dozen warnings to zip it. Finally gets a booking for a soft shove. Dick.

A late, soft penalty cannot paper over the cracks after drawing 2-2 with Burton tonight given they were playing with ten men for 70 minutes. We're so one-dimensional and can't defend to save our lives. No Pompey fan can want Jackett to stay now. He has to go.

Scummers are going to annihilate us next week.

We were the better side tonight and I think Peterborough can count themselves lucky to have taken anything from the game. They had a constant threat on the break with the pace of Toney, but we showed more spirit, more intensity and played the better football for long periods.

It is the first time we have looked like a proper team at this level and hopefully we are finally starting to gel. We need three points on Saturday now.

Rochdale much better in the first half and Lincoln much better in the second half apparently.

That's about all I can comment on because I wasn't there!

Think the change in formation suited us, plus Banks and Potter in the middle were exceptional. Posh looked very off the pace by their high standards - they were there for the taking really, but will happily take the point after being 2-0 down. Whilst I greatly respect anyone mad enough to travel to Birkenhead on a Tuesday night, one of the quietest set of away fans I've ever seen... Birkenhead can have that effect on you though!

I am sure given Oxford didn't win Karl Robinson might have something to say about the new Bolton team..

(I know Bolton did lose 6-1 at the weekend..)

Played poorly against a very poor side and still won, good night overall. Still top of the league as well (although I suspect we won't be come Saturday)

I’m a little bit disappointed we didn’t take all 3 points tonight, still a tremendous effort to come back from 2 goals down. Our best performance of the season and only 1 point to show for it.
Never seen a team waste so much time after scoring a goal to the extent that Peterborough did tonight. No wonder Mickey Mellon lost the plot and got himself sent off!

Defensive organisation was something we were completely devoid of last season. Lambert really does have us playing as a unit aside from Donny on Saturday which hopefully seems like a blip.

We have the best defensive record after 8 and second behind P'boro in terms of goals scored.

Cracking start.

Michael Appleton being linked as one of the favourites to take over at SB. Any thoughts from fans, he did okay at Oxford but less so at Portsmouth, Blackpool etc.

I'd love pompey fans to tell me if that was a penalty.
Last kick of the game.
We was holding on with ten men, so a point is good but man thats tough to take

It was soft but your player gave the ref a choice to make when he needn't have. We had a stonewall one earlier that the ref thought about then didn't give, so i guess that was playing on his mind at the end with a decision to make.

I thought you coped very well against 11 men for most of the game. Not sure if that was down to your tactics or ours!

The fans are getting restless.

Got a deserved point at Bristol Rovers last night - started and ended the game very well but for large periods in the middle third of the game the match was devoid of quality (both sides). Rovers probably just about deserved their half time lead through a smart finish, but a change of shape second half had us dominating the latter stages which culminated in the equaliser.

Good result considering we lost one of our most important players within the first 10, which meant a young kid playing slightly out of position for 80 minutes. Good to see the subs making a difference too, with Marshall offering decent width and Mandron being able to make the ball stick which none of the previous 3 strikers had been able to do.

Well, that was a lot better than I expected. I'm sure Ipswich are going straight back up so not too disappointed with the 1-0 loss.

My favourite manager in our time, and I will be depressed if you get him while we are stuck with Gobbo.

Did well with you but not great at other clubs. Got mixed responses on our boards about his possible appointment but hopefully he can steady the ship and push us on, we have a decent squad of players to work with.

Can't agree with that, but hey ho that's football.

Thought we were the better team for most of the game. You controlled the opening 5/10 minutes but not sure you had a shot? Definitely didn't cause us any issues. As you say, think we deserved our lead at half time though.

2nd half we controlled for the most parts & really should have made is 2/3-0. We made some dreadful changes due to 2 injuries - especially as when Hare was stretchered off, but was replaced by the injured Little, which showed. After that, along with your changes you started to get back into it (around the 70th minute) and after you scored it was all Gills looking for the win.

Really feel like we should have finished you off before you scored, which was a dreadful goal to conceded. No closing down on the cross, no marking on the shot and a terrible save to parry it right into the goal scorer's path.

I see why you feel it was a deserved point, especially as you were the one pushing for the win. Just IMO, we should have finished you off after probably controlling 65% of the game. I think you only had 1 shot on target until the goal, which I thought summed up our play.

Ah well, we move on. Midtable is about right for us, with JCH we'd be lower. It's frustrating as that's 4 points dropped at home in the last 5/10 minutes with Gills & Accy, which otherwise would see us in 3rd with 16 points.

Onto Wimbledon, where hopefully we can continue this unbeaten run of 3 games

He applied to be our manager in the summer and if Darren Moore hadn’t applied he would have got the job and the majority of our fans would have been happy with his appointment.

Thing is, other than the goal and one cleared off the line in the first half, and Upson scuffing one wide at 1-0 in the second I genuinely can't remember too many chances falling your way either. Certainly nothing that Bonham had to worry too much about. I accept we didn't do too much the other way either til the latter stages, but we probably had about a similar number of decent efforts - Byrne nearly snuck one in deep into injury time for example. Once we changed shape there was only one team in it which was encouraging.

Either way, will take a point happily as we're now 4 unbeaten and still haven't clicked into gear properly.

I think Sercombe had a close chance in the 2nd half, but you're right it's not like we were hammering you - just we really should have taken one of those chances. At that point, I'd have felt pretty comfortable of the 3 points, but you never know.

Not discounting anything you did after the goal, you were much better than us and the only team that looked like scoring - it's more that it was only the last minutes + injury time where you really threatened and pushing for a winner.

I think we're in similar positions actually, you could see both had more to offer but neither of us were great. Both a work in process. Jakubiak looks his usual busy self but not really getting into goal scoring positions - although he was out wide. Bonham looked a shadow of himself last season with us tbh, although his kicking looks. about the same

I think that's fair. Bonham has been mostly good, but has made a couple of errors here and there. Kicking was atrocious last night but has generally been ok too. Jakubiak offers something a little different to our other forwards with his tricky dribbling while others are either raw pace or more target man style. I think we'll both be somewhere around where we are now come the end of the season in honesty, judging on what I've seen from other sides so far.

Yeah I'd agree with that - think we're both in for a mid table finish, which I'mm sure we'd both take ofter last season!

Bonham was superb for us for the most of last season, he had a bit of a wobble mid-season but overall he's a solid L1 keeper. I like Jakubiak, like you say he's got some skill and he's also very strong. You can guarantee he'll give you 100% no matter what.

Good luck for the season, until the replay!
