Just bought tickets to watch us at Coventry. The reason I am posting is that I know it's a bit off a ball ache getting to the ground from the train station. Can't really be bothered messing around with getting on and off buses in a place I hardly know. How much is a taxi or are there any other easier ways of getting to the Ricoh?

There is a train service to the Ricoh but it's a 2 carriage service and there is only one per hour. The last one before kick off is around 20 to 3 and is usually relatively busy. If you get the 20 to 2 train you'll be absolutely fine.

From there it is probably the closest station to any away end in the country.

Taxi/uber can be anything from 8-15 quid from Coventry Station to the ground.

A warning to Coventry supporters for Saturday. We now have electronic access through the turnstiles but no-one told the turnstile operators and they've had no training. The system has been tested but not under battle conditions. Things could be a little slow.

Also, anyone with a concession ticket will get challenged if they don't look as though they qualify. Please bring ID and pass the message on.

SW Trains are meant to be on strike on Saturday so you may have to use alternative routes.

Another ‘add time to your journey’ post like above, Barnsley fans on Saturday - half the main routes into Bradford are being dug up this weekend so I’d set off earlier than you normally would if you’re going by car...

The strike is off, but everything about ground access stands.

Wycombe tomorrow and bayo is back in Donny (wonder if he still thinks it’s on the Scottish border) we have our new signing Crawford out already so not sure who will replace him, can’t see it being 0-0 even though I expect Wycombe will set up for that and hope to beat us with a set piece goal. We should get much better entertainment this season given how we are setting up mind anything will be better than the turgid shite Fergie served up last season at least we are playing people in their correct positions.

Not sure why we always seem to get teams just after their manager has gone, or just as their new manager has started.. Blackpool away was going to be tough. Either going to be Blackpools best performance of the season or they are going to not be arsed with everything thats going on. Hoping for the later, but having been in the crowd where the players and the fans have a seigh mentality when all is going TU behind the scenes I know how difficult it can be to play a team in turmoil.

Reckon we will change formation from 442 to 4231 with new signing Wheeler, Curtis and Lowe behind Pitman. RB Thompson is out so Walkes will move from CM to RB and Close will play there. We need to get at them very early to hopefully knock the wind of our their sails.

Going for a 2-0 victory - Lowe and Wheeler to score

I went to your ground about five years ago on a Friday for an FA Cup tie. The pickets were pink pieces of paper and the lad on the turnstyle simple holepunched it!

A throwback to our non-league days. Apparently those tickets were very easy to fake.

Burton at home tomorrow, not sure what to expect to be honest. Pretty confident we can turn them over, but home form was our achilles heel last year. We'll be wearing our black and white anniversary kit for this one, to mark 125 years of the club.

Watching James Maddison show how brilliant he is on the top stage once again brings up the question of how Mowbray managed to fail to get Coventry promoted in 2015/16.

Our team literally included James Maddison, Joe Cole, Ryan Kent, Jacob Murphy, John Fleck, Jack Stevens, Ben Turner and Adam Armstrong.

Even the likes of Vincelot, Ruben Lamieras and Sam Ricketts were in the squad ffs.

Only positive of that half is we’re not losing. Second week in a row our first half looks disjointed. Walsall should be a couple up but they’ve missed some good chances.

Better game for us. Golden boy Curtis ran Blackpool ragged. Decent brace for him. Hit the Post and had another blocked. Got nervy near the end.

We are truly shocking.

The team looks terrible and we were incredibly fortunate to come away with a point. If Walsall didn’t have Andy Cook up front it could’ve been 6 or 7-1.

Well we got tonked 3-0, time will tell whether this was just a bad day at the office or a darker sign of things to come.

But we should expect a few poor results at a higher level at least.

Impressive start to the season for us, L2 Champions dispatched at their place and now comfortably beaten a side that was playing Championship football last season. Long may our form continue!

To be fair actually my post didn't give Walsall enough credit. We were bad but they were very good. They really impressed me with their quick play and their directness. Ferrier and Ismail looked so dangerous. I just think they need a better striker than Cook.

Can see them being up there if they bring in a better striker.

We had the better of the game imo against a counter attacking Coventry..
How we didn't get a pen at the end is a mystery. Still we are a much better side than last year..

We were awful, could not string a pass together, defence were out of position and very slow, not sure we fielded a midfield and the basic skills were child like. The only tactic we had, hoof it long, never worked and never looked like working.

The worst I have seen us play since the play off final three years ago against Wimbledon.

Southend were quite good, clear precise passing, movement off the ball but no one could hit a barn door. They looked a competent team, pressed us well and kept a good shape.

I know we are a military town, but it was bizarre that the sniper in crowd only seemed to be hitting Southend players, as otherwise I could not understand why some of them were suddenly falling down.

After the Barnsley game, I wanted to know if they were good or we were awful.

Looks like both are true. Fleetwood didn't have as much about them as Barnsley - I don't think they're a play off team - but they still looked comfortable. In two games we haven't scored and we haven't really troubled the keeper.

Ricky Holmes looked a class above, but his energy only highlighted a lack of effort from the others. We seem to have absolutely nothing about us besides him. A shame that he seemed so much better in the centre, because that's where our other best player thrives.

2 games, 2 comfortable wins. Burton were better than Accrington, but that's about it. Hanlan had 6 good chances to net but didn't, but ended up with 2 assists and MOM. Great to see the attacking options we have in the squad clicking so early, and with Ehmer and Zakuani at the back we're strong there too. Hopefully Parrett's injury isn't a bad one, but we were better once he went off, Eaves came on and Lovell changed the shape. No slight on Dean there, but the formation just worked better.

Bring on Walsall!
