Would be elite level cheating as he is suspended!!

Wasn't aware of that in fairness! I must admit I don't know a huge amount about Luton these days as we haven't faced each other in a while, but you seem to score a lot (particularly at home, admittedly), and tend to be quite a front-foot side. We're pretty good on the break as we have some rapid forwards, but I'm not sure defensively we're particularly good. Harry Cornick was woeful for us but seems to have done well for you, so I'd imagine he'll score or have a big impact otherwise.

I feel the same about Gillingham, feeling very out of touch with who are the players to watch for at this level having been away for sometime, I feel like Gillingham exited my footballing consciousness at the turn of the century with Peter Taylor at the helm!

We like to keep the ball and play out from the back. The game against Plymouth was pretty much us at our best, keeping the ball, creating overloads with our attacking full backs and picking teams apart in that manner. At home, if we score first we invariably kill teams on the break. You would think that being a good counter attack side would transfer into being a decent away side but hasn't really worked out that way thus far.

Cornick has been great at just about everything for us except his finishing. He would have scored a ridiculous amount of goals for us if he could hit a barn door, he almost always gets at least 1 one v one chance a game and invariably shanks it over the near post. He has improved in that area this season though.

Long trip down to Plymouth for tomorrow's game. They will be smarting after last week's thrashing by Luton. while away away form of late as been dire
As anybody can beat anybody in this league I have a coin in front of me, its heads Fleetwood to win by one goal. Btw its not a 2 headed one !

Quick change if thinking for joethegill who a couple of weeks back was looking at 10 from 12 points against teams he expected to beat. Hope his latest thinking is correct :bg:

How has McGeouch been? We were supposedly interested in the summer. Sniffing around Maja as well by all accounts, don’t think Eisa and Maja up top for us would please Sunderland fans too much...

McGeouch was really good in pre-season then got a knock and has been slow to get back up to that form. Ross rates McGeouch so he'll continue to get games but he plays the same role as Cattermole who has been miles better than him this season so it's often awkward fitting them both into the same squad.

Maja has been brilliant this season. He struggled last season but he's still learning and everybody struggled last season. Back to goal he doesn't really offer much but let him take on defenders or give him half a chance in front of goal and he's proven deadly. To lose him in January would be a major blow but his contract runs out in the summer so somebody needs to make a decision.

All my Donny mates are expecting to get battered but we don't seem to play as well at home. Personally expecting another scrappy close game.
I agree with my fellow 6 fingered sister-shagger.

We've a good record at Oakwell this season but with the exception of the opening day, we've not won by more than 1 goal and only drew against Wimbledon and Plymouth. Our games against Donny are always tight and I expect tomorrow to be no different. Another 1-0 win would be absolutely fine by me.

Peterborough will be thinking both how they didn't get 3 points but also how on earth than manged to actual pick one up. Gifted a goal despite being well out of the game all night.

The Peterborough midfield today was as bad as any I've seen all season.

Not confident at all about tomorrow.

We can't defend obviously so will concede. We have no creativity with Colclough and Morris out injured, relying on Novak to poach a goal to stand any chance.

Beat Gillingham today (if), and we go above Peterborough. If you asked me that in August and I would not have said that.

Walsall away today, hoping for 3 points after last weeks draw with Wycombe (well played Wycombe btw). We’ll see which Sunderland turn up, i’d think Maja will be back in the starting 11 today which will be a plus for us as he knows where the goal is and today i have a feeling Gooch will score for us but i do think we will concede so i’m going for 1-2 or 1-3.

Safe journey to all supporters everywhere today, and i wouldn’t mind Pompey dropping some points today along with Barnsley but i firmly believe that they both will win as will an in form Luton (who have impressed me this season).

Up for another defeat today. Looks like we’ve got half a squad available again.

Our Chief Scout has just left ‘to pursue other career opportunities’. After looking at what he must have assisted bringing in over the summer I’d suggest that’s a well advised move.

Blackpool Away today. Never an easy place to go and get anything. Take a point right now, but need 3 if we are to put anything like a challenge in for the play offs.

Didn't necessarily EXPECT to beat the sides we've played, but off the back of beating Bradford and Fleetwood 4-0 and 3-0 respectively it was hardly out the question to call us beating Blackpool and Oxford. I accept I got it wrong, and I'd be happy with a point today. Tuesday night at Bristol Rovers is a more important game right now, so a point today would be a bonus.

We've bizarrely changed a winning side for no discernible reason. I hope Stendel knows what he's doing

Bloody dreadful game here at Gillingham, only time we looked anywhere close to last week with a decent move we scored. Otherwise absolutely atrocious from both sides, passes misplaced all over the place. Guess it’s not the sort of day for good quality football but still.

Clearly not. Drop Woodrow who's bagged in both his first 2 games and linked up well with Moore, and shockingly Moore ends up isolated and Rovers are winning.

But may I be the first to say... Luton’s going up! (Again)

Now only 1 defeat in 13 league games, and that one was referee assisted.

Need to be beating the likes of Barnsley really
I wasn't at the game but listening to commentary sounded like you had a proper go at us and were a Davies wonder-save away from stealing it with the last kick. I'm satisfied with a point after going behind in a derby, just a shame Walsall bottled it after being 2 up vs 10 men Sunderland. Big game for us Tuesday night against them.
You've got some great attacking players in May, Kane and Coppinger (still terrorising us at 104 years old) and I'd expect you to be top 6 come the end of the season with us (hopefully).

3-1 victors in the end. As I said, not a particularly vintage game or performance from us but to not play all that well and score 3 and win away from home is a good sign. The goals for us came from the only times in the game we strung a few passes together and then 3rd absolutely barn storming run from Cornick, a real shame that his shot hit the post as it deserved to go in.

Made things difficult for ourselves at the end for no reason at all other than the fact we kept giving the ball away in silly areas but saw it out.

Don’t normally mention referees as it’s a bit of a tired trope, but we have had this guy before and he hasn’t improved. Some really bizarre decisions both ways, felt both teams should have had penalties for pretty blatant holding. He showed he wasn’t going to call it though which only went to encourage it.

Expected to lose today today with all of injuries and playing top of the league but not in that fashion. We had Rory McArdle playing RB, thankfully Portsmouth's LW was god awful and took McArdle on about once.

Thought we'd lose just cause they're a better team but it was more due to good luck and bad refereeing decisions that anything. Still can't believe Hawkins didn't get a red for that elbow and escaped with a yellow.

Not too disappointing really all things considered, having to make two forced changes due to injuries and only losing 2-1 to top of the league isn't that bad for us. Another day we'd have won that.

Us beating a Karl Robinson side is as close to a sure thing as you can get in football.
