Today was the same loss we suffer almost every week.

Start well, miss a chance or two, get sucker punched and then give up. First half we had a few chances and looked the better team for a lot of it, luton then score against the run of play and there’s no coming back from it. After that goal we give up and Luton stroll to victory.

The difference in general quality between the two teams was very small. The difference in making errors and then punishing errors was massive.

Another goal conceded due to a defensive error, Two of our players refuse to clear it and Luton score from it. It’s just the same thing from us every game.

Surely McCall is a gonna now?
If he resigns, which I would do if I was him.

He’s been handed the worst squad in this league that makes individual errors every single game.

We’ve also been a massive victim of injuries, not being able to fill a bench 3 times since he’s been manager. I’d walk out if I was him.

Yeah there’s no difference in quality between a team losing 7 on the bounce v a team winning 7 on the bounce.

Wasn’t there obviously but it didn’t sound a particularly good quality game on the radio to me. Could see the difference purely today being our confidence and there lack of it.

Our form has turned. Still likely relegated but now we have a chance. Things improving

Beaten by Coventry in the last minute yet again.

Thankfully, I made the decision to lay on the sofa all day drinking left over Sauvignon Blanc and doing sprout farts. Seems like the right choice now.

We’re a different team with Dougall in the side, he’s different gravy. That’s the most I’ve enjoyed a game at Oakwell for a while. I know we’ve not been doing bad at all but it really has been frustrating to watch for the most part but a couple of additions in January and hopefully we can crack on with the only acceptable goal of promotion.

Fucking abject from Salop at Accy. A goal down after 28 seconds, let Accy play for the first 30 mins including letting them go 2 up. Marginally better second half...a duty pen have us an unlikely lifeline but tbh never looked like scoring. Throw in an insane amount of offsides and an appalling referring display and you've got the usual STFC away day.
Worst away form in the league by a country... Next up... The Stadium of Light.

I was wondering if our players would bottle it in front of a big crowd but they were great, unfortunately the officials bottled it big time.

Charlton were woeful.

The fact we managed to do the double over them is remarkable.

It's cos I didn't go again....

Nah I'm chuffed with the last few results, 7 points from Pompey, Blackpool and Posh is a great return and sets us up nicely for 2 more difficult fixtures. I don't think Luton have lost a game since they last played us and have a phenomenal home record, Charlton beat us comfortably at their place in October. I'd be very happy with 4 points from those 2.

Not the greatest performance from us today but enough to get the three points. First half in particular was lack lustre and Scunthorpe should have had a goal or two but for some poor finishing. Our opening goal from Shinnie was one of our few good moves in the first half with Justin supplying a good pass. Second half we began to play with more urgency and used the flanks to good affect. Our second goal killed the game but came about through a defensive blunder. Two defenders going for the same ball and leaving it to each other. Summed up Scunthorpe who for all their effort looked a team low on confidence. Hylton and Lee both had chances to extend our lead but 2-0 it remained and another 3 points. Missed Rea today and we still don't know the extent of his injury. However we still have strength in depth which we will need when going into a very tough set of January fixtures.

Good win over Wycombe today. Played well. Needed that after an abject performance at Luton.
Plymouth at home next - we should win. At home I fancy us against anyone. Away - I fancy us to lose to everyone.

I fear we’re in for a hiding at yours on Saturday, we’ve just been decimated by injuries. Our form is amazing frankly given the injury woes but another two today, I’m not sure if we’ll even fill the bench and if we do it’ll be a load of teenagers that not even Charlton fans have heard of.

My only hope is get in there, try and shithouse a draw and focus on trying to get 3 points at home to Walsall on NYD.

Think we must have had the most leiant referee for bookings today. Luton committed 25 fouls and recieved one booking which came in the 90th minute.

Great to see another win and very unlike us to score so early (28 secs) - had to be an ex shrews player too in Jordan Clarke. I thought we were well on top first half but looked like Ricketts gave his side a kick up the ass at half time because they were much improved.

Another home game now to look forward to v Peterborough.

Clark seems to be flourishing at Accrington and it’s great to see. He was the most hyped player in a Barnsley youth squad that included John Stones and turned down a spot at the Man City academy because he knew he had more chance of getting into the first team here so I was surprised when we released him.

Not that I'm bitter or anything, actually I really am that's twice we've been robbed against Sunderland this season the officiating at this level really is scandalous. Worst team we've played in the top 6 imo.

Not a peep from their 44,000 all game except for a couple of minutes after the goal we gifted them, their twitter account is so tinpot as well:bg:

Paddy Madden is a class act, sterling service at his previous clubs, its not only his goal scoring, the guy tracks back to defend, always challenging and harrowing defenders and never gives up. He is a credit to himself, probably get sent off now !
Btw a good win against Donny Rovers , a double completed with 7 goals scored and none conceded

I actually think we have a worse away record than you, 6 consecutive losses and guess who we play on New Years Day...........

Really bad result yesterday having dominated large periods of that match. Hawkins isn't prolific enough even at this level and could have had a hat-trick yesterday if he knew where the goal was.

Knew the game was up when Thompson went off and we'd used all of our subs. Gillingham just got in the way of everything we threw at them in the second half but in truth we should have been out of sight before they got theirs well against the run of play.

Oh well, if we fail to go up this season then being doubled by Gillingham will have been a massive factor in that.

I really miss him. Think it was time for him to leave when he did though as he and Alexander didn’t get along. Wish we could get him back now Alexander has left though.

Probably because Paddy was an attacking player, the opposite of Alexander's defensive approach to so many games. Now dont start getting any ideas of him coming back to your lads.....

So 7 wins in a row for the Mighty Hatters - that is our best run in the Football League for 17 years. It just gets better and better.

Walsall (A) on Saturday, will be fancying making it 8 victories on the spin, but they proved in the first game they were very competent as a side.

Kenny. Boy oh boy are we/you gonna get it when we lose or go on a poor run. Hope you're ready. Although I know and admire your thick skin. Lol

The rest of us are enjoying it a little more quietly and waiting until the end of January when we've played most of the big boys again then we'll get a feel for if we are good or just good at putting away the bad.
