Will be a tough game tomorrow, probably our most difficult test at home that’s left for us. We have had our, relative, struggles against the top 6 sides this season although less so of late.

Think it’s got nervy draw written all over it though I must say, think things are going to tighten up again in the coming weeks, can’t see us continue to seemingly streak away with promotion.

Yeah we are. We gonna win next two and be 14 points (effective) clear if the Mackems before they play again. Thats job done

A win and a draw from next two before they play is probably enough too.

Nervous about today. We've allowed Sunderland to creep up on us and now the pressure is on to try and re-establish a safe gap. I don't think the playoffs are going to cut it for us, last time we played in them we came in at the last minute after spending half the season in the bottom half but if we have to play in them after such a good season I reckon the mood will be different and they're not going to be much fun.

Walsall proving again in this game why they shouldn't be scrapping to avoid relegation. Very encouraging start again and have had some great opportunities - wasted.

Barnsley could be 11 points clear of Sunderland by the time Sunderland play in the league again. If that happens it's game over for them, surely?

Pfffft. doncaster best in the League Matty Blair?:dk::woo:

Very, very comfortable. Men against boys that should have been seven, eight or more. High press was outstanding today. Won us countless breaks and one on ones. Excellent performance and result when under a bit of pressure. All but done now.

Have Donny fallen out of the top six yet?

Battered Doncaster there (best team in the league eh Matty?!), properly outplayed them. Some superb performances in there, Lua Lua got MoTM but what a player Jack Stacey is.

Great to get back to that type of form at this point in the season, so much for my “tight and nervy game” prediction!

That second half was as one-sided as I can recall seeing since we dicked Yeovil for 8 last year. Honestly the same scoreline wouldn't have been an unfair reflection of the game. Hylton, Lee, Cornick, Berry all missed glorious chances for more goals, and too many half chances to count.

Jack Stacey is in unbelievable form at the moment. We'll be lucky to keep either of our full backs next season whatever league we are in.

Well we absolutely robbed Walsall there - zero fcuks given obviously.

What a crucial 3 points that could be. Didn't play well at all, were lucky not to concede at least 2 or 3 but somehow ground out the win. Walsall gave us a great game and can feel aggrieved at having not won, never mind drawn. They're in no way the 4th worst team in the division and I'd be shocked if they went down.

Haha as if Blair said that. Was he involved in all that Luton/York/Jason Walker/coin throwing nonsense back in the day?

I think the coin throwing might have pre-dated him but he scored the decisive offside goal against us in the play off final that led to Jason Walker-gate.

I don't remember pre-York Blair but yeah I think the coin thing was even pre-NL Grimsby. Blair was class at that level though. Used to torment us. Dropped a right clanger with that comment though! It's probably one of those times when all Harford has to do is print that quote out and pass it round the dressing room instead of doing a team talk.

Wonderful stuff from Luton, champagne football after a slow first 20-25 minutes. Nice to get some measure of revenge on Matty Blair after the infamous offside goal.

There's no question that Luton look better when Hylton or Collins are playing with someone else than when they both play together. Hylton and Lua Lua had a great partnership going today.

I know he won't but I'd love Harford to accept that and keep Lua Lua in the starting line up with either Collins or Hylton. Maybe he could get all three in the team by dropping Lee.

2-0 down today, then 5-2 up. All our players now back from injury.
5 points from the playoffs but I think we have left it too late. Shame.
We have Barnsley Luton and Pompey left at home and posh and the Mackems away. Could be an interesting run in.

Was listening to the radio driving home and someone put it quite well, although perhaps stronger terms than I would have, i thought something aling the lines of “it shouldn’t be a question of who plays with Collins, but a question of who plays with Lua Lua”. He should be playing week in week out for me, was so noticeable how much better we looked with a pacey attacking player today. With all of the quality we have on the ball, adding that extra dimension to our game really causes opposition problems.

His general hold up and forward play is also superb and deserves some more credit I feel.

The lad who keeps scoring for Rovers scored an absolute screamer yesterday well worth a watch.

Always seems to kick off at HP off the pitch against Rovers, heard of a fair few incidents yesterday as well.

Handbags in the tunnel after too apparently. Probably because Coughlan gets a warmer reaction than Adams and always will do, legend!

Our own fault we didn’t pick up 3 points when we should have been able to close the game out. Once again sat back too deep.

Draw not a disaster for both sides who I’m 95% sure will stay up.

Yep, always does for some reason. Not sure why. Especially this time around as it was mostly ST holders.

Decent game, you absolutely battered us for the first 20/25 minutes but without really testing the goal too much, a lot of good play but it all ended up squaring it to players just outside the box to smash it towards goal where most of the shots were either blocked or went out of the stadium. Not sure how we didn't score at the end of the first half, incredible save by Macey, upon looking at the replay I can't work out if it's over the line or not, either way - a ref could never call that so no worries even if it did.

Strange game. As you say, you should have seen the game out and in some ways I feel fortunate to get a point (who doesn't when you get it in the 92nd minute). But at the same time, both your goals were completely avoidable (absolutely awful defending (but nice finish though) and an absolutely horrific own goal from no pressure at all).

Agreed both will stay up, there are some worse teams down there at the moment. But onto Doncaster away & Luton home next could easily see us slip back into the bottom 4.

Oh and JCH right now is a god. Honestly his performances are that of, if not better, than Lambert when we had him. Let's hope he keeps this up, we'd be down without him no doubt

Bloody gutted I can’t come down to Bristol Rovers on Saturday - a result of constantly not having a consistent work schedule and as a result not knowing where I’m going to be on any given Saturday.

Every home game now is sold out for Luton supporters; and both away games on sale have already sold out - Accy and Burton still to go on sale, but I doubt they’ll be around for long.

Not sure how true it is . But been stated on social media you need one more result of avoiding defeat to equal a Third Div record of 27 games. Guess what we hold that record in seasons 1952/53 & 1973/74 seasons.

Who better to make sure they don’t equal it then?

27 is also our record unbeaten run set in the Conference promotion season.
