Luton 1-0 Gillingham, Danny Hylton scores just before HT. I think we deserve that lead as they’ve had stacks of the play, but the Gills have had opportunities although wind assisted.

This would be game 25 unbeaten and 73 unbeaten after going ahead in a match (I think).

Luton 2-1 Gilingham
Tom Eaves
Jack Stacey

Edit: 2-2 Luke O’Neill sticks it in the top corner from 25 yards out from a free kick.

Not in the script. That was a game we needed to win, and to blow a lead twice...

We set up with absolutely no intention of going to win today's game and we got what we deserved.

In big trouble

If we win next week, 12th placed Plymouth could be in the relegation zone.

Fantastic point for us away to Luton just wish we could perform against the teams in and around us, Wimbledon away next week is massive for both sides

Really disappointing to only get a point there having lead twice having said that could have been worse if the chances Gillingham had had fallen to Eaves sooner. Missed some great headed chances and the right back put in some great balls.

Once Stacey put us ahead we just didn’t close the game down and kept it very open putting us under real pressure. The number 2 has scored a great free kick but you could feel it coming because we didn’t react well enough to scoring. I love Mick and he’s a legend but he has to use the subs better, not really sure what the point of bringing Potts on every game is, especially to move JJ into midfield in place of Berry who was playing well. Lee wasn’t doing enough for me all day, if he really wants Potts on then bring him on for Lee move Berry to the 10 IMO. Either Cornick or Lua Lua should have been on sooner as well for me to relieve some of the pressure that was building up. Net result is still 5 clear but feels a big big missed opportunity to make our lives much easier. Think things need freshening up a bit but not sure Mick will do it.

If Mark Robins gets us into the play offs he will be Coventry royalty. Considering the circumstances, he is already up there with the Coventry greats.

Absolutely unbelievable achievement.

Absolutely it needs freshening it up. Especially with that quality on the bench like Moncur, Thorne, Cummings, Cornick on the bench that haven't been used for a while.

Are you still in danger of being kicked out of the league!?

Win the play-offs and then get relegated as such...

Agree. Lee has done nothing since coming back into the team. And I have always argued that he is NOT a midfielder. Neither is Pelly a defensive midfielder, meaning that we effectively played with two midfielders today. With too many others having off days we could easily have lost that game. Silly really as I thought that Gillingham were there for the taking in the first half. Really missed McCormack.
With Harford showing that despite his numerous qualities, he is not a manager (IMO). Specialist defensive and forward midfield players on the bench but not used, while others are played out of position. Strange, non-use, or far too late use of substitutes, and not really being either proactive or reacting to changes in the way the game is going. He can get away with it when things are going well, but it is different when games are not going to plan.
Just my opinion of course.

Still, 80 points, five ahead still, so can't complain too much.:)

I'd probably have you down as our toughest fixture left on current form - done really well this season considering the shambles off the pitch.

We've drawn a blank in 4 out the last 6 games and I worry our lack of goals will see Sunderland pip us in the end as they just don't know how to lose games.

Both teams played some good football in an open first half, weather conditions absolutely dreadful. Fleetwood upped the ante in the second and in the end ran out worthy winners. We had an 18 year old out there today Ryan Rydel and he put in a terrific shift, the lad looks really promising
Btw great away support from Plymouth and trust everybody gets home safe and sound

I have to agree with this. I dare say if Judas was in charge, we would’ve won yesterday with ease. Gillingham played into our hands, playing an open game, no closing down and showing not that much urgency. At times it was like we were waiting for them to make a mistake, which they did. That said, the travelling this week has been a bit of a joke, so they’re probably showing a bit of fatigue - even more reason to freshen the side up.
This isn’t going to be popular - the players were self managing themselves after Judas left; that and determination only goes so far. Yes we’re 25 unbeaten , but we can’t keep standing still.
I don’t think any of the top 3 have lost a game at all in 2019 - it’s going to be a real scrap. But a year ago if you’d offered me 80 points at this stage in L1, I’d have bitten your hand off.

Yep we are definitely nowhere near safe, and I have a horrible feeling you’re gonna do us in our own back yard next week and put us right amongst it.

Shamelessly stolen from our forum for those feeling (a bit like me) a little nervous...

Over the last two games we have got the same number of points as Sunderland and two more than Barnsley.

Over the last three games we have got the same number of points as Barnsley and Sunderland.

Over the last four games we have got the same number of points as Barnsley and Sunderland.

Over the last five games we have got the same number of points as Barnsley and two fewer than Sunderland.

So, unless you just take today as current form, we have either held our position or gained ground on the other two unless you go back to five games. Even based on that form, Barnsley have made no ground on us.

Comfortable win yesterday against the Seasiders
We are the only side out of 24 that probably cannot go down or go up either. The archetypal mid table team.

Thought about this at the game to my shame. I thought Jones would have changed the shape with Lua Lua and Cornick wide to give their full backs something to do defensively. After we scored the second the full backs had nothing to do defensively, and their right back who looked a good player had all the time in the world to deliver balls into the box. Changing shape is probably a bit radical for Mick though

Apparently Gillingham "fans" ripped out seats from the Oak Road end yesterday and were throwing them into the 'no mans land' between the two sets of supporters...

I'd take a draw. Tbf, I reckon both sides would in the circumstances.

Can't remember last time we won at your place though, must be a while now?

Worth pointing out I thought the majority of Gillingham fans were fine and they created a half decent atmosphere than some of the larger groups who have come to the oak road this season. Didn’t see seats being thrown, but heard a couple of “Tommy” chants and the other usual garbage that we seem to get every week about the local community. As usual nothing done about it, wish our stewards would take a harder line on it to be honest, happens every week.

I can only apologise for that element of our fanbase. One of the main reasons I don't tend to do the more local away games so much anymore - we have some proper vermin following us. Anything north of Northampton and the majority of them get lost en route fortunately.

Luton fans, did that player come back from injury yet? (The one who had the awful foot/ankle injury in our game earlier in the season)

Think it was Eunan O’kane. No he was a loan player who went back to Leeds afterwards. Still not fit yet.

A shame as he looked quality in the glimpses we saw of him, our midfield could have been even more ridiculous with him!

Ah yeah that's the one, awful injury that poor bloke.

Tbf, he is much too good for this league, as it seems is the rest of your midfield

our problem with such riches is trying not to put square pegs into round holes...a la PRM as a defensive midfielder...or not rotating the bench enough..when it matters...
