Lost 1-0 to Watford, no clue what kind of team they put out as it wasn't announced. Not sure where our goals are going to come from.

Beat Rochdale 2-1 in a game with three penalties, very good game and a decent tempo and Rochdale looked a tidy outfit.

We were much better second half than first and both sides could of had a couple more, very competitive with some tasty tackles going in.

Rochdale would have been my tip to go down after losing Henderson but looked decent enough on today’s showing all be it friendlies don’t always paint the picture.

Mills looked decent all be it silly pen to give away, Conlon looks in the mood to continue with great form at the close of last season. Rodney has something about him, very much a rough diamond but three year deal so hopefully with three very experienced strikers he can learn and develop with us into a very good hitman.

2-1 win against a very good Rochdale team with all the goals from the penalty spot. We got better as the game went on I felt.

Think Mills, Worrall and Conlon were excellent. Amoo looked good when he came on. Rodney you can see is very raw at this point though seemed better through the middle.

Rochdale brought on a young lad by the name of Baah in the second half and thought he was terrific. Don’t know how close he is to their first team but was a constant threat.

Just watched Vale V Dale.

Reasonably entertaining game, which Vale just about edged.

Kwadwo Baah is indeed a good prospect. 17 years old, originally from Crystal Palace youth, transferred to our youth programme and signed pro as soon as he turned 17. But unless we get an experienced forward in, we'll struggle.

Wage bill is well within the £1.5m Limit........6000+ season tickets sold circa £1m plus Hotel up and running once more. EFL money to come in. The club has very little debt why would we not survive?
Because a second wave would mean refunding sesson tickets, longer without crowds and no money from that hotel

We have had 4 penalties in pre season we wont even get that many during the season. All our friendlies have finished 2 1 winning 3 and losing 1 meaning when we win or lose it will be narrow as I cant see us hammering any side. Mills looks decent but not much for Fitzpatrick but he may have to play if montano is injured.

Looks like we will have Cullen montano oyeleke Pope and Gibbons out of our side for our annual 1st round exit in the league cup.

First team looks alright, but we don't have many players, especially with decent ones banished from the first team, so it's not all rosy.
Need about another 5or 6 in yet as squad players forwardwise im happy. Need midfield strengthening and back up in defence but I’m more confident this season than I have been for a long while

Not a PSF, but Mansfield lost to a very good PNE side 4-0 in first round of League Cup.

Lost again yesterday this time to Wigan 3-2, on the back of going down 2-1 and 4-3 to Huddersfield and Doncaster (played one of these super secret friendlies too and the result was never announced). Can’t help feeling we’re still a fair way off from where we need to be in terms of recruitment.

Does this not apply to all clubs?
Some clubs like Salford it would not impact.....Others it will mean them going bust
I think our owners/club can ride out a £1m loss

Nobody has a wage bill as high as you to deal with

Shipping goals for fun ain’t cool, but at least we’re scoring. It’ll be interesting to see how the defence holds up against opposition of the same league.

We've completed our proper pre-season fixtures now, with a mixed bag of results and performances.
There is apparently a training match against Blackburn on Tuesday, and interestingly Dunn says we still have "a couple of weeks" of pre-season left, describing the Derby match in the cup as "a free hit" - must be treating that like our final pre-season game.
I expect that will be played with our starting 11 for the Stevenage game, probably with a new striker coming in before then. Hope we don't get battered on the telly.

I’ll be honest it would not surprise me if Salford have a higher wage bill than Bolton.

They have to pay more for players because they are such a little tinpot worthless club, one of those things.

Dreamland mate.

you’ve recruited mostly average on a huge budget. Get over it.
We are in a Embargo..

Your club must be the first club in history to release a player who then starts a phantom bidding war resulting in you giving him a rise and resigning him.

Now thats funny

very true but next season you may release Maynard but then you will have to bring another in so where is the saving.
We may have Doyle in lge 1 with no payrise

Maynard, despite being a superb player at this level is 33. You never know when it just goes from a player, be daft to offer anything more.

Evidence pls that you have spent less than Bolton on Recruitment this season

You said it’s well documented, now either admit you made that up or show it me.
