Roughly, how much will it cost you to be EFL compliant next year? Will this detrimentally affect your ability to bring in the wise old heads you will need?

A significant outlay is going to be needed to get the ground ready for next season. We’re going to have to be creative in the transfer market, as we have to be every season

Are there deadlines to get the ground up to standard anymore?

Yeah, they are in March. We had to fit some extra away seats this spring to meet the deadline, and think we need another 1,000 seats by next March.

At least you started getting things in place early. I dont know how Bromley would manage it if they somehow come through the POs.

I suppose transfer wise you have the advantage of location, there seem to be lots of decent players in the SE who established league clubs might not take a risk on but could be gems for you. A bit of transfer savvy and some luck and who knows!

I don't think he's amazing by any means but I've long thought that if Tomi Adeloye was loved and given a real chance in a stable club that he'd flourish. I like at someone like Panayatiou scoring 12 in a season for Aldershot and reckon Adeloye would match or better that given the same playing opportunities.

He was impressive with us and I really think one of the more regretful releases there - which is unusual given the shower of shite on that list (bar Loach)

Says a lot that only 4/5 of those (outside of the loanees) are worthy of a place in any side in this league.

Well 4/5 out of the 11 you have retained is probably better than the ratio on our retained squad (particularly if Carey leaves as most Lynn fans expect him to), showing our inexperience in offering longer contracts to players who hadn't proved themselves with the club or at this level. Eight defenders under contract or offered new terms for a defence that almost clocked up 100 goals conceded this season (and we were as poor pre and post-furlough)

"King’s Lynn Town can today confirm the retained list for the new National League season.

The following players are under contract:
Ross Barrows
Alex Brown
Kyle Callan-McFadden
Sonny Carey
Michael Clunan
Tyler Denton
Tai Fleming
Cameron King
Rory McAuley
Chris Smith
Dayle Southwell
Paul Jones

Exercised option:
Michael Gyasi

Offered new terms:
Aaron Jones
Jordan Richards

Released:
Alex Kiwomya
Sam Kelly
Ryan Jarvis

The club who like to thank those who have been released for their efforts whilst with the club and wish them well with their new clubs."

We have also signed Ethan Coleman (Brackley) and Munashe Sundire (St Albans) for the coming season

Any idea where Carey might go? One of the stand out players I saw against us all season, would love him at Notts but suspect he’ll go to a higher league.

Lots of 'paper talk' about who was watching him and most accept he is too good for us so will be off in the summer, just a shame that the market will be depressed so we probably won't get what we might have done (say) a couple of years ago. He has really grown up this season having had limited game time in his best position (that driving force from midfield) in previous years and even this season he has played all over to accommodate King and others.

Given what I read on here about your midfield he was probably just what you needed and thought his performance in the two games against you might have prompted a speculative bid but maybe I am confusing you with Chesterfield ;)

To be fair to the old boys in midfield, they’ve been miles better in recent weeks. Seems the problem may have been Ardley banning them from crossing the half way line rather than their legs having completely gone.

Carey is the kind of player I expect we’ll try and sign this summer. The new post-Brexit rules have kind of scuppered our plan to find more like Ruben Rodrigues abroad, so our data/recruitment guys have said we’ve been focusing on getting lots more data and analytics on players in this league and the north/south this season.

Most of our fans are disappointed he's gone. He's the only player on the released list who I'd have retained.

Him and Mason-Clark caused us all kinds of problems at Plainmoor a couple of weeks ago.

Wealdstone
Wealdstone FC can today announce the departure of Michee Efete, Connor Smith, Danny Green, Dan Wishart, Moses Emmanuel and Jorome Slew.

Stones retained list:
Jake Askew
Jack Cawley
Ashley Charles
Dennon Lewis
Jacob Mendy
Jerome Okimo
Danny Parish
Michael Phillips
Connor Stevens

These nine players join Craig Fasanmade, who we had already announced as signed for the new season.

Academy players Elijah Hearn and Tecane Shrowder also remain at the club after making two first-team appearances each in the league this season.

The club is currently in negotiations with four of last season's first team squad which include Charlee Hughes, Alex Dyer, Nikola Tavares and Josh Meekings. We will announce the outcome of these negotiations in due course.

Loan players Joseph Olowu, George Shelvey, Riley-Jay Harbottle, George Langston and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton have all returned to their parent clubs and we thank them and Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Watford for their support this season.

—————————————————

Shame that Connor Smith has gone, player of the season for me and the only physical presence we had in midfield. Danny Green’s (Greeny’s) departure is bittersweet, up until now he was the longest serving player at the club and when he was on form, he’s a fantastic player to have in any side, inconsistency unfortunately is the issue. Michee Efete and Moses Emmanuel we owe immeasurable thanks for getting us up but their releases were inevitable whilst Slew and Wishart weren’t involved for most of the season.

For me, we’ve kept on 3-4 players too many so recruitment is going to be crucial this summer to avoid the drop. Alarm bells are ringing big time that the club are still speaking to Charlee Hughes, I can pull the trigger for a shot quicker than he can.

Connor Stevens staying is a pleasant surprise and if he can stay fit next season, he’ll be a massive upgrade at the back.

I thought Scott Loach was a decent keeper. What's happened to him to get released by Barnet?

He wasn't released as such, more that the relationship between him and the club had deteriorated so much that there was no point offering him a contract he was never going to accept.

High earner, I would imagine. A decent, solid keeper though.

Club is a shitshow and he is a star keeper. He lives up in Nottingham and has been messed around by us + is a big earner. No way he would be staying around with all of that combined.

He was very good, but only had him on loan whilst the Canadian off-season was taking place. We would never Ben able to sign him permanently unfortunately.

One of the many temporary players we had in to help us complete the season but he probably played less games than he might have (considering how short we were) and didn't make much of an impact in the games he did play so assume we haven't taken it any further
