Obviously we don't know which league we'll be playing in yet but the general feeling amongst fans seems to be that most of our players are at worst OK. The only one of the regulars that people seem to have any gripes about at all is Croasdale but he's just been voted joint player of the season in a player's poll so he is obviously better regarded by his peers. Personally I think that the one area of major concern is up front, Cardwell is unlikely to be signed on a permanent basis, Bennett just doesn't seem able to do it for us and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Hartlepool, Reid is OK but if the club wants to push on we could do with someone better and keep him as a back-up. So that just really leaves us with Madden. A lot of fans would love us to sign Jack Stretton (who we had on loan) from Derby but I doubt whether Derby would release him and I also have doubts whether he would want to play at tier 4 and certainly not at tier 5. So we'll probably just have to raid another league 1 team that's got less money than we have.

We've got 17 so far for next season.

OOC 2022;
G Smith (GK), Whelan (DEF), Carline (DEF), Taylor (DEF), Hollis (DEF), Gunning (DEF), Whittle (DEF), McCourt (MID), M Smith (MID), Rowley (MID), Weston (MID), Mandeville (MID)

OOC 2023;
Maguire (DEF) , Oyeleke (MID) , D Rowe (STR), Mitchell (STR)

OOC 2024;
Asante (STR)

Expect at least 4 or 5 in, maybe some of these will leave.
Going to say we will see Kerr and G.Smith sign new deals + we will sign 3/4 others, maybe more if a couple move out.

Can see you guys being a contender next season. Get rid of your deadweight and bring it that extra bit of quality and you could easily be in and around the top 3

Our retained list has been delayed due to 2/3 yet to sign new deals. At a guess, the ones in question will be Earing, King and Green. All been key players for us this season and all young so will no doubt have clubs sniffing round then.Wild sounds resigned to possibly losing some of them to better offers. Sounds like no one else is getting released apart from Williams and Noble-Lazarus.

Fingers crossed. Think we were 2nd in the form table since Rowe took over which should give us confidence going into next year. Asante and Hollis being out until the new year isn't ideal though as arguably they have been 2 of our best players since he came in.

Can Krystian Pearce just not be arsed any more? That’s Solihull and Boreham Wood he’s bombed out of in double quick time.

Luke Young has signed a 1 year deal with an option to extend to 2.

Rumour is that Jamie Reckord and possibly Reece Hall-Johnson will also sign today, along with the new manager.

No suprises on the released list and good news re: Kerr.

Little bit suprised about Denton and Tyson but that's all. New players signing imminent too.

First one for us. Sam Johnson (keeper) signs new 2 year deal.. good shot stopped. Distribution questionable but an area he has improved this season. Don't think we'd get much better on our budget

Squad of 20 currently. Think we will still bring 3/4 in and can see a couple under contract moving on
Surprised your keeping Denton. Surely doesn't fit in if your playing a more passing style next season. Not his game at all.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
All gone very quiet at the Rec, except for pushing out the begging bowl for fans to stump up . Cancelling the “early bird “ season ticket deal stinks, as does sticking a couple of quid on basic entry next season. All contracts expire 30th.June, so I guess we’re gonna have to await developments.

Fancy a game of tiddliwinks whilst we wait. We can stop every so often and see who Chesterfield have added to their 65 man squad

Plenty of time to sign players yet. We dont even have a manager never mind signed any players. Although to be fair its usually average players swapping non league clubs at this time of the season so not worrying about missing out

Macclesfield and Dover used to wait till about 4 days before the first game then sign a whole team.

We tried that one season, under Terry Brown. Apparently there’s a “drip-down “ effect, but we were left with the lowest of the low, and plunged to the bottom of the league. Not recommended.

Me too.

Stinks of a plan B option of the bench at best
