Went into yesterday's game with 8 first teamers missing..then had both Leadbitter and McClure limp off. The injuries are mullering us.

Sion Spence and Kennedy Digie are apparently out till end of Dec/Jan.

Kieran Phillips out till December. No idea when James, O'Sullivan or Mitford might be back. Clearly been something going on in the background with Dawson, he's been "injured" but now transfer listed and not seen for months. Not sure whether Taylor-Crossdale will be available for Tues v Buxton, but if McClure is crocked we only have Barnes-Homer available up front and he's 37 in a few months and came as coach not a player.

Feel your pain we had our injury crisis at the start of the season which lead to our poor start, nothing you can do until you get players back or loan players in this league is so compact we Have gone from 15th to 5th with 3 wins in a week.

What sort of style do you guys employ? Hoofball up to Mark Beck?

Not bad though is it playing hoofball to the NLN current top scorer! Mark Beck.

Not that we engage in that style of play we have a bit of finesse about us now.

Total scratch side thanks to injuries and it looked it. McClure made the starting eleven but clearly wasn't ready and was subbed just before the hour. First half was pretty even but second half City looked, which to be fair they pretty much are, like a team of strangers and failed to even pass the ball properly. To compound matters, Dom McHale who was probably one of the few who actually looked like creating something got himself a second yellow in the last minute. Desperately need half the squad back.

Chorley's yoyo season continues, following a shocking display at Southport the Magpies comfortably beat what I thought looked a poor Spennymoor team. Unfortunately Whitehouse picked up 2 yellows, the second one was stupidity on his part blocking a free kick from being taken, but at least Challenor will now have completed his suspension.

Superb 3-1 win over Alfreton. First half we were as good as I've seen us this season. Second half, first 10 minutes, and then 15 minutes after Floodlights came back on, you could see the travelling recently had caught up with us, and we let Alfreton back in. Decent subs by Armstrong though, and Kane Felix finished the game off. Great to see Jacob Hazel get a goal - been deserving of one, and made up for bad miss after rounding the keeper in first minute. Lovely goal from Joe Leesley as well - what a signing he has been. Have to make sure we get him permanently. Alfreton were dreadful - first half as bad as any team we've played. How Heath still cons a living on the back of Rhead flicking on long punts i'll never know. A lot of them also seemed to be carrying a bit of excess baggage., so can't see that much fitness training is done.

Darlo are flying and top of league but attendance last of 1274 is very poor thought you would clear 2000 easily.

Weather wasn't great last night, but we won't get 2000 regularly whilst at Blackwell Meadows. Fans just don't like the experience. 1700-1900 possibly, sooner we get on with a new ground the better.

Weather would have put a lot of people off.

Hopefully we can get a lot closer to 2k this weekend vs Fylde.

What style of football do you think we played last night? Surprised at how anti-football Heath still is.
Really good style tbf. Was very impressed by Darlo especially in the first half. Best side we have played this season.
Yes we were poor and gave away shocking goals.

No doubt about it we really struggle away from home in midweek. Our record is horrendous

Well honeymoon period is over for King after 4 straight defeats. We still have 7 first team players missing and only lost thanks to a Scarborough wonder strike, but there's still plenty of things going wrong from the Mansell days as well as questionable transfers from King.

Brandon Hall will make a wonder save then proceed to cock up and cost us a goal. He's done it repeatedly now and is a liability. Needs to go.

Junior Tiensia was brought in by King and was highly rated at Millwall. Looks good going forward, rubbish defensively. Not so good when a defender.

The midfield is too lightweight, other than Jake Andrews who is about 2 stone overweight and waddles around the pitch.

If we're serious about being a promotion contender, then obviously we need injured players back but at the same time plenty of these squad players are nowhere near good enough for it.

Robbed today by a 97th minute equaliser, which came before 5 minutes added time. The game should have been over before they scored. Awful officials.

Leamington looked quite useful I thought to be fair, brought more than I thought they would as well, even if some of them are really weird. Seem a bit obsessed with us for some obscure reason.

But yeah, two points dropped, should have killed that off.

The officiating at this level is an embarrassment

The sad thing is this is the level of the weak refereeing at the moment.

Our game today was embarrassing watching the man in black making catastrophic bad decisions constantly throughout the game, and probably robbed us of at least a draw.

Worst referee I've seen this season. :sna:

Chorley eased to a comfortable win to retain their unbeaten status at Victor Park, truth be told Kettering were a poor side and really the 2-0 scoreline flattered them it really should have been at least 4.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Curzon are in a lot of trouble if don’t watch it.

With 4 going down they may drop by making themselves that hard to beat that they are unable to win enough games!

Kiddy also in trouble. Rumours of unrest and players will be leaving and new faces arriving this week.

It's not that long ago that you said you were going to walk the league.

Totally a-fucking-gree.

It always sounds like sour grapes when home fans complain about the ref but he robbed us yesterday. The only referee I have ever seen who was worse than yesterday's clown was the ref who officiated Darlo v Gloucester last season.

10 v 12 yesterday, though Fylde *are* a good side. With their 3 away fans.

Still very happy with our start to the season, we can't win every match.

Kiddy very poor yesterday, set up to frustrate us with men behind the ball which worked to an extent but unable to defend set pieces with first two from corners then a really soft third from a defensive mistake. 3-0 probably a fair reflection on the game. In terms of refereeing, the fact that we won 3-0 and the ref was still roundly booed off the pitch also tells a story

TonyM Interesting to see Kings Lynn tearing up the league after relegation, they looked bad when I saw them early last season. A lot of new players and / or change of manager?

Ross Barrows certainly hasn't impressed here, but he's not on his own on that score.

The whole set up is completely different and the squad we have now is as good as some of those in the National league. The fact we are full-time but train in Ely means the players effectively only come to the town on match days.We were completely ignored at the start of the season by anybody outside of our own club despite finishing the season strongly under the current management team. Alty should try playing Ross at centre half to get the best out of him. He looked pretty happy celebrating in the away end at Doncaster last week!

We gave Farsley our usual humping again yesterday, but not without the help of some comical goalkeeping. A complete swing-and-miss kick gave Archer an empty net to tap into for our first, and our forth was from a charged down clearance.

Officials weren't great again, Mulhearn's sending off for Farsley was a tad harsh, second booking for a high foot when Anson was stooping for a header. Our third goal was offside and the linesman was bang in line with it. Against us, he stopped a counter to give us a foul and book one of their players (it wasn't even a bad foul and he was booked for persistent fouling).

22 points from the last 10 games for us now, with our only 2 defeats being chucking a 2 goal lead away against Gloucester, and losing at home to Buxton despite being the better team and being refereed out of it. Tough game on Tuesday against Kings Lynn, I suspect that could be the real test of where we are. Having Marcus Carver return to Scunthorpe following his loan won't help us either.
