Naturally yes, also, why would a player go to a club who barely get 500 fans. WIth a tiny clubhouse and portaloos when they can play for Macc, who get 3-4k gates and have state of the art facilities.. Any player with any ambition would 100% join.
I think the covid hit seasons have created a bottleneck within the northern premier league, in my opinion the difference in standards on field is not too great and the race for promotion is getting harder, Macclesfields current squad is on par with any in the higher division, I will be interested to see the fa cup draw today so I can test my theory of the different qualities

I suppose that's fair enough, exactly, that's what we need a decent ground ours is absolutely shite hate the place. Has Macclesfield got a new stadium when you say state of the art facilities..
Same ground, but massively renovated.. Things like a brand new gym, which is class.
Also there is a working bar/resteraunt.. Its a decent set up these days.

Hard to disagree with this. We've had many of our players go out in loan to npl premier clubs and have done very well, despite not getting into our team.

Why do thetwo Warrington clubs play at home on the same days ? Surely it affects the gate ?

I know it's a rugby league town but hypothetically speaking if you merged the clubs and support there of ~1000 you'd have a fairly competitive team for the level.

But then there is no fun.

Tameside is an area of Manchester be similar to an Oldham or a Stockport in size, has 220,000 people but has 6 clubs all battling it out for crowds of 200-400.

They would never merge

Stafford have got themselves off to a decent start this season. Doubt they will keep it up but hopefully they can prove me wrong. There is a pretty good latent support for them to tap into just the club has had a period of struggle ever since they dropped out of the Conference.

Not unless they both want to avoid Warrington Wolves a professional rugby club that competes in the Super League. I'm not sure what crowds they attract on matchdays.

Well supported club for this level with an average attendance of 700. I suppose that'll increase with the form that they are in if they keep up with the pace.

We’ve loaned Stanway out to FC United and he got MOTM for them today on his first start getting the better of Warrington. Good to see him get a game and do well. Really awkward as we’ve probably got the best two keepers we’ve had in many years on the books at the same time.

But we were offered Tyrer on loan by Everton, their third keeper, on the bench in the Prem as backup to Pickford 17 times last season. Not really in much of a position to piss off Everton but also hoping not piss off our best permanent keeper in ages as well!

It's a difficult one with two promising keepers that no doubt that both want as much game time as possible. I suppose you can't upset the applecart with the Everton keeper situation, they'll no doubt want Tyrer out on loan to gain more experience with his career.

I would imagine Stanway won't be exactly over the moon with the whole scenario of drawing the short straw of being shipped out as well, suppose it's swings and roundabouts in one respect, obviously he'll gain more experience at FC United.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
BPA away today a type of game curzon always fail in and for me usually the reason we never get above midtable.

We usually fare well again the mid table sides, plus the bigger failing clubs, we normally give the best sides a hard game……but we normally flog these games when we play a side which we should beat.

I sometimes think it’s that lack of needing to ‘raise our game’ hurts a small club like ours.

Last season we flogged it failing to beat farsley, Gloucester, Telford etc etc I think one win in the 6 games had we won them we’d had a play offs.

Time to either deliver today or forget top 7
