He was gash for us. I think Gibson has improved a lot since he was with us, one of those players our fans never took to because of his dad's bizarre social media rants and a supposedly questionable attitudre problem.

Are you releasing Gibson, or is he looking to go elsewhere in the summer
I would take what HG says with a pinch of salt. Doubt Gibson or Patrick will be going anywhere.

I'd say we've got more chance than not of getting Automatics, probably 60%-70%ish confident on that result. However, if we don't then I don't think there's any chance of going up, just the mental anguish of missing out on goal difference again potentially and then having the injury crisis makes it unrealistic that we'd get 3 wins against other teams up around us right now.

I’m not sure. I just heard from someone who was at our awards do the other night and the talk is him and Patrick are leaving.

I’m not taking the piss here but this must do your fucking head in happening every year.

It’s why i’m usually pessimistic as we could be 12 clear with 9 to play for and still find a way to fuck it up

You have more chance in the play offs now you will not be playing Mansfield, unless there are some freak results next Monday.

Patrick is gash. You said it, 2 good games all season.

When he is on form he’s a bloody dangerous player, very skill full and able to beat men and score goals.

The key thing is of course when on form and injuries just frankly buggered any chance for him this season, he had two long lay offs killing any confidence or momentum.

Same issue for garnet and edmondson just not getting a solid straight run of games to get in form

When it come to Garner and Edmo, at one point we seemed to have an embarrassment of riches going forward. Top scorers in the division, with Dennis as the top scoring player and 18 players in the squad who had scored this season. If anything that turned into our downfall when we our strikers had a blip, as any team can sometimes do and there were too many good strikers in reserve to not start chopping and changing and since then nobody up front has hit any kind of form.

I hope Bradford get into the playoffs and do eventually go up. They should be embarrassed as such a big club to be down here with the likes of us. It's shameful just how shit our Yorkshire clubs are. From Leeds United to York City, all punching well below their weight and being utterly pathetic. Things have gone too far when Sheffield is a bright spot in an otherwise bleak landscape.

Yorkshire football does seem to struggle.

Especially compared to our near neighbours over the hills. For whatever reason very few of our clubs seem to be able to do it and then when they do sustain it.

I hate dirty Leeds with a passion, but how are they punching below their weight?. They are in the Premiership. They can't go higher.

We have mainly played in the bottom 2 leagues of the football league during our history. That said, we should be aiming for the Championship in the next few years, for sure, to ensure we keep the level of fantastic support we have had in the last 10 years or so interested

I fear they are about to crash out of the Premiership. If Allardyce keeps them up it will be a miracle.

Unfortunately, I think big Sam will keep them up.

Well done to your lot for a good end of season and securing your place in the EFL

Good luck to you all. I think whoever goes up might need a squad revamp.

Look at the bottom 9 clubs in league 1 and 6 of them are recent promotions from here. It doesn't bode well but it can be done because Plymouth were here not too long ago as well.

Well done to Northampton for wrapping up promotion today. Commiserations to Mansfield for missing out on the play-offs and good luck to the four sides competing in the play-offs - will enjoy four of the leagues best sides battling it out to join us in League One next season!

After Mansfield battered us 0-0 and 1-1 I thoroughly expected them to make the play-offs and waltz them, unfortunately it wasn’t to be and I’m absolutely gutted for them.

One more summer spunking cash should surely do it next season.

Are we putting our playoff shit in here or should we make a separate playoff thread?

Congratulations to Northampton, must be even sweeter after what happened last season.
Agree. Football is a squad game and their manager has assembled a good squad. He has managed to brush aside terrible numbers of injuries and get on with his job by ensuring his players do theirs.

Not going to lie, there's a morbid part of me that wants to see Salford at Wembley (to lose), just to see whether the genuinely take 3000 fans to it. Good luck to everyone going through it.

We're not opening up our online sales system for the Bradford game - I imagine that's an attempt at ensuring City fans don't get tickets for the home ends...

The online ticket site glitched big time so it’s just taken over an hour to sort my seat. Carlisle allocated where the home fans normally sit in Midland road, home fans in the usual away sections to ensure supporters behind both goals.

Also congratulations to the three promoted sides, classic soft southerners not wanting the graft of the Play Off’s.

Rumour doing the rounds here is that Salford (capacity 5,000; average crowd 2,800) will restrict us (average away following: 1,000) to about five hundred tickets. And put their own tickets on open sale.

I foresee no problems whatsoever.

From a selfish view I'd like Carlise to go up, purely based on it being the longest trip out of the 4 for us. Wouldn't be against Stockport going up though as they'd be a threat next season

Now confirmed, just 536.

Salford want home fans on all four sides.. think they may have a little surprise there...

Got a ticket for the home end. It’s not hard to find a non Stockport postcode when you live less than 7 miles away.

Don’t care about the low allocation, I take more issue with our ticket office allowing people to purchase them in person with no ticket limits. I got burnt with Orient last time because people are buying around 30 tickets per transaction.

Thankfully managed to get one because the day trippers handed them all back in once they thought automatics was done.

It's hard to know who I want to go up. There all fairly easy journeys, Carlisle is abit of a journey but its an easy one and one of my favourite away days. On one hand Salford is the worst away day and they bring the least amount of visiting fans to Crewe. But it would pain me to see them succeed in anyway.

Proper home end or the one shared with away fans? Not sure which is the safest bet tbh, don't want to be near any Langworthy scrotes looking for bother
