I really do think Hartlepool will challenge if they join us. Askey is a good manager and proven at that level.
Good job he's used to spending peanuts,as he did at Macc,as that'll be his budget next season.

Can finally say goodbye to this thread, wishing the teams still fighting this out luck, Crawley is local but would prefer Hartlepool to survive

I still think Hartlepool will survive. They'll beat Crawley on Saturday. I can see why the Pools fans are downbeat but as an outsider looking in, I think Crawley missed a chance last night. Hartlepool weren't particularly likely to get anything at Salford (although you shouldn't write any game in this league off and I'm sure Hartlepool didn't) but Crawley only getting a draw. Hartlepool win vs Crawley they're above them on goal difference (or goals scored if it's a victory by 1). It's still in their hands.

I'd rather have Crawley's final two games than Hartlepool's, though.

Ok well Crawley have Walsall H who may get a new manager bounce and Swindon A which is a tough game. Don't forget Lindsay walked out on those Swindon players.

Hartlepool have Barrow on the beach and us away is tough on paper. Not sure yet what we'll be playing for, my hunch is we may need something to secure a play off spot but I've got a feeling Hartlepool will make a real fist of it that final day.

I'm still backing the lads up in the North East. They have to win Saturday though, it's non negotiable.

Hartlepool vs Crawley is possibly one of the biggest relegation 6 pointers for years...

Unfortunately the last one I can think of for Pools was when they visited our doomed youth team in mid-April 2017 and lost 2-1 to get dragged down to the non-league depths with us.

Walsall have one win in their last 20 games, Swindon's league position is deceptive given that they have picked up 25 points from their last 25 games - only Rochdale have been worse than Swindon in League Two since the end of October, and that's only because Swindon surprisingly won last night.

Fair enough. I just think if Hartlepool win on Saturday, they'll stay up and Crawley will go. We'll see.

Nothing changed for us after last night, we were always going to have to win our last two home games to survive and that's still the case, if they went 5 points clear it would've knocked the stuffing out of us.

Ideally we need to dent their GD and hope that Walsall week after play with a bit of freedom and new found ability now they've scattered Flynn and get a positive result.

I can see it going to the last game which we'll both lose, Swindon will want to get one over Lindsay, they couldn't wait to see the back of him.

All Hartlepool do when they're up in this league is make up the numbers and are an easy 6 points for most teams.

It's a joy to thrash them.

That's what I'm saying basicaly re: not a lot changing last night. Crawley missed the bigger opportunity. If they'd beaten Colchester you'd be needing snookers. Surely they knew you were 2 zip down at Salford at HT yesterday when they got in at HT. Casey said they were wank second half after a decent first half and bottled it (my words that bit)

You'll get them if you beat them Saturday. I think you'll get something off us final day.

Nobody’s biting, why does he keep trying?

Very sad individual.

It's just not good enough Carver

If anything I think you're baiting efforts are getting worse. Lazy, unimaginative, repetitive and boring. Hence the lack of bites.

I know I'm being a pessimist when it comes to your wind ups, but you really do need to improve, or just quit.

Everything I say on here is just thought of as bait for people to bite on and that's not what I'm about, all I'm doing is telling the truth.

Is it untrue that Hartlepool are a shit club who are non-league bound? No, it's not.

I dont fancy us to get a result on Saturday but if we do it will be very hard for Pools to catch us.

I was disappointed to see Walsall sack their manager. Lat thing we need was new manager bounce the weekend after.

I can see Challinor doing us a bit of a solid, he was gutted when you dicked us at ours. Whether we are still in the race to stay up by then is another matter. I can't think of anything worse than getting relegated at yours to be honest.

Definitely. Loved his time at Hartlepool, still has a soft spot for you.

I think your lot will give him less and less stick as time goes on. I think a lot at the time did because it stung but now I think a lot of yours blame the Chairman not Challinor now the dust has settled.

He's never said a bad word about your fans and I wasn't at the match in December but I don't recall any stories of him giving any back after we beat you 5-0 which let's be honest he could have done if you're getting shit behind you etc.

He has a job to do for us and we both know DC that will be his first thought but no doubt in my mind he'd rather you stay up. Any Hartlepool fan thinking he'd be relishing sending you down is wide of the mark.

Problem is I still think we'll have something to play for because I've got a feeling the play offs won't be secure.

He'll want us to stay up, his beef is with the chairman not the club. The Pools job was his big break really. He had promises broken and was let down, if they'd been kept he'd probably still be here or gone to a higher league. He left badly but I think the facts are clear to see now. I heard stuff at the time that has turned out right.

Worst scenario for me is us needing a point or a win and you could still get third. I'm hoping you lot secure that or have a PO spot sewn up, in that case I'd back us to get something.

Those of you who have been in NL before where do the NL lot post now?
This forum seems to only cover NLN/S and below these days. Hoping we can avoid needing to use NLN threads but you never know ...

I seem to remember visiting that place (or a very similar NL forum) when we first went out of the League.

You know you don't belong as soon as you step in, like visiting a Welsh pub.

I think it's some site called like One Football Forum that the Non League lot all migrated too.

It always looked shit. I said at the time they should have stayed on here. The Wrexham fans will be back on here soon anyway by the looks of things.

We got promoted a few weeks or months after it all happened so it was easy for us to stay on here.

Football Forums.net but if you tag it in here properly it auto changes back to 1ff.
Great forum to be honest but the league 2 bit is dead hence why us GTFC lot returned here after promotion although quite a few of us still post on there too.
This is the one: used to get a ban just for mentioning it but now Tractorboys Jong Un isn’t in charge any more I think it’s ok.

Cheers. Will give it a go. Not letting my sign up on my phone for some reason. Maybe an omen we're gunna win the final 3 and stay up. That or my adblockers are causing issues...

Miracles do happen fella!!!........fingers crossed for you.
It would be the biggest one ever if we pulled this off, unfortunately though, everyone knows we are gone. Way too many things need to go in our favour, it’s close to impossible at this point.
