It’s that time of year again.

Easy for me to say, but I think it’s a poor doo if we can’t get promotion here. More than capable. But anything can happen in the playoffs.

Like last season, it’s Barnsley again in our semi final. I’m much more confident this time around, home advantage in the second leg should help too.

Bolton/Posh final, which I'd fancy Bolton in if they're on song. The latter always have a soft underbelly that has the potential to rear it's head.

Come on then Bolton. I imagine we have a promotion fee clause in the Collins deal

The form team are Oxford and I’m tempted at 9/2.

Expect it’ll be a Bolton - Oxford final. Posh have some really excellent players but being absolute bottle jobs is in the club’s DNA. I think Barnsley will somehow take it all the way to penalties and then miss every single one they take. Trotters to scrape the final by the odd goal despite dominating.

I think Bolton should do it, certainly if they play to their potential.

I think what the crowd wants to see though is the classic Posh choke, kneejerk Ferguson sacking, then he can get reinstated again 9 months later or whatever.

Let’s hope our Cambridgeshire heroes read the script.

I voted Bolton. The play offs do make it somewhat more unpredictable however I think they just have the extra bit of quality you need to get themselves over the line...

Cue a Barnsley - Oxford final!

Seems like a pretty even play off group, nobody really stands out so im sure all sides will be confident they can do it

I thought Barnsley looked vastly inferior Bolton and sadly Peterborough. They seemed particularly vulnerable from set pieces where we won the first header a number of times.

The crowd were understandably edgy considering what was at stake but I would be staggered if they were to go up.

From our point of view, with one of Bolton or Barnsley definitely staying next season, both would be good away days anyway, but seeing Bolton hv been up there, and finished 11 points clear, it'd only be right & proper if they go up...but footie doesn't work like that! As we well know <...cough, Grimsby>, being miles ahead of everyone else but just missing out on the Auto's, puts added pressure when going into the PO's....

On the other side, Oxford v Posh...having been to P'boro yonks ago, I remember it being a bit of a drag getting there - so would prefer Oxford personally, but good luck to all involved.

I've gone for Oxford, purely because football doesn't go to the best placed team in the PO, and Posh seem to have no bottle in the playoffs (see last year as exhibit A). Barnsley have spluttered their way in on the last day and sacking a manager just before seems a little odd without knowing all the details, but form is defo not on their side.

From a selfish POV, would love Bolton to stay down as they're nice and local for us and a big ground to go to.

Surely that's a foul on the keeper for Bolton's 3rd? Just backs him into the net. Comms barely mentioned it

Soft as fuck. Keepers do tend to get everything these days though so had it been given don’t think anybody would be surprised

Yeah seemed a certain foul to me, keeper to blame for the pen though, no need to come out like that.

I still can't get over how shit Barnsleys home shirt is this season

Absolutely, normally Barnsley shirts are just bland - and I’d far rather that than some bizarre American-looking nonsense.

Probably gets given as a foul with you know what or in a higher league..

Barnsley only really played for about 15 minutes which wasn't enough.

Deserved win for Bolton, it's hard to see Barnsley coming back from that and to be honest, based on their form heading into the PO's, they're a bit of a token gesture in there this season.

They had a bit of a go after their goal but Bolton fairly comfortable overall.

Great to get the win, despite the slight lead.

Posh fans - any reason you set up so defensively? It felt utterly bizarre.

I only saw the first half but I'm assuming Fergie got spooked by the 0-5 there a few weeks back?

We would have beaten Bolton. They got lucky Barnsley took our place. Critchley messed up.
I looked at this post about 6 hours ago, could not stop laughing.........No you would not
Doubt you will ever get the upper hand on us in the near future.
Both clubs going in opposite directions. Pot A Bolton, Burnley, Blackburn and Preston
Pot B Blackpool, Fleetwood, Accrington and Wigan
Enjoy the sea air

Decent tactics considering the 0-5, keep the score down then finish it at home. Think Oxford disappointed they couldnt get more and are a tad worried now.

I don't really know what to expect from either side to be honest. Des Buckingham is still an unknown quantity and we don't really know how talented he is nor how he would approach this sort of game. What I would say is that the overwhelming majority of OUFC support is pretty reserved. We absolutely know despite being the better side and holding a lead from the first leg that it will be far from easy.

Reading the Posh forum, the overriding feeling is that the game will be a bit of a doddle and it's a nailed on Posh - Bolton final! I think if I were a P'boro fan I'd be nervous. That might be genuine confidence from their point of view or merely an instinctive reaction to a poor first leg... Who knows!?

What's Mark Harris like, Oxford? He started well when on loan with us then massively fizzled out to be the next in line to be lined up and shot, like the rest of the loan players we have had over the past 15 years.
