Remember against Northampton in 2013 we booked our tickets as close to where the trophy is lifted that we could as was our confidence, not something we had to worry about versus Swansea or Millwall.

TBH, the only time I had an issue with Crawley was when Fatty McFraud was their manager. I still call them Creepy out of habit but wish them good luck as I do to Crewe.
Yes that's true. The issue was really when Evans was their manager.

I feel like it's quite a well respected thing between the two clubs, for some reason. I've got nothing against Crawley since Evans left, and I'm sure they haven't for us. Let's be real here, as long as it wasn't MK I think we were all happy :fl:

Is any club likeable or truly respected when Fatty Fat Fat Evans is in charge.

To me he's so unlikeable that he's a stain on any club's history for the time he is in charge.
Unlikeable yes but a good manager in the lower league's.

Nobody should argue that, he gets almost every club he's at promoted. But he's detestable. He's two faced. He's a crook. He's instructions from the sidelines are unpalatable.

The only manager who if we appointed would stop me going to watch my side. Just couldn't support him and his team.

How hyped are you to see Crawley at the new Wembley for the first time?

What sort of numbers are you expecting to take?
I'm walking on air! We've never been, old, new or Cardiff etc.

I was hoping we'd beat the 10k we took to Old Trafford but I was a tad worried we might be embarrassing but it seems we sold 12k by 2pm today!

If we can keep an extra 1500 of those for next season I'd be ecstatic!

I prefer him to his no2 Raynor, he's a horrible piece of work in the dugout.

Tru dat, he's worse on the touchline but can't be as two faced as he leaves all the media to Fatty Fat Fat Evans. Sadly they come as a pair. Gladly they've never been in the home dugout, and very likely never will.

Those are pretty decent numbers considering your attendances! I think we took around 18k in 2022. At the time I was a little disappointed, but when you factor in the cost of the day and the fact that some people had been brainwashed still into being scared shitless of Covid, it wasn't too bad.

From what I understand, Crewe have really shot themselves in the foot. All neutrals/day trippers will be in our end because you haven't been able to buy in the Crewe end unless STH or member. Is that right?
With a 40000 allocation why is there a need to have a priority window?

Anyway, bar a hundred or so tickets the lower tier is now full and we're now onto the middle tier. Very very surprised but delighted. It also sounds like the usual south terrace lot have been able to get the standing tickets which is good for atmosphere purposes.

After a busy day at work, I still can't believe I have secured a ticket to watch us at Wembley, pure bucket list stuff. I know my opinion will change on the day once we're in the heat of battle but at this moment in time, the result doesn't even seem that important.

It will. It's so so important because there is simply no better way to win promotion than a playoff victory.

Bucket list item ticked off for sure when the teams walk out...... But then you need to feel that winning feel at the end to make it so incredibly special.

Totally agree. One of my best ever days....it helped that it was pretty comfortable but from getting the train from Stoke Station through to meeting a couple of mates for a few jars in Central London through to having a few jars on Baker Street after, it was just the best. Can't imagine it would have been quite the same if we'd lost.

They went on general sale at 4pm today, so STHs and members just had a few hours to get the tickets they wanted.

8000 sold for us on day 1. Although only went on general sale at 4pm. Some of our fans have complained about it but I think it's done better and should make for a better atmosphere in our end as alot of our core support will be sat together, whereas in the Crawley end the day trippers will be amongst the core which I think usually dilutes the atmosphere. I think we will shift around 12-15000, which isn't bad, considering were 3 hours away, it's an early kick off and this our 3rd trip to the new Wembley, whereas its Crawleys 1st trip to Wembley ever.

That's more than I expected to sell on day one to be honest. A lot are just struggling to do 170 miles by 1pm on final day, which is putting some off.

Frankly those 'some' don't deserve to be there for the final if that's enough to put them off.

It's the final, set the alarm and hit the open roads for the chance of glory.

Or watch it on your sofa and save some pennies :dk:

It's not, I've done both. Only consolation was I expected us to lose to Bradford on the day, we'd been woeful for weeks beforehand.

But you've had the last laugh now! Your support was immense on that day and I spoke to a few very gracious stags fans after the game. Hopefully our time will come again.

Of course we’re by and large a great bunch and we took it on the chin, thankfully we can have a go now.

Whereas i know you didn’t meant literally, but we wouldn’t have ever laughed

Must admit, being 3-0 down with ten men and still being the loudest fans in Wembley was brilliant looking back, we didn’t stop for its entirety.

Been so much better if we actually turned up!

I agree with you, but it's definitely a deciding factor for some - for example had it been a later kickoff we'd have been able to get childcare for our kids so my wife could have come with me, but now we can't and so she can't make it. Up until our kids were born she was a season ticket holder so she's not a 'day tripper' - it's simply that we can't get a babysitter at 5am!

One of the best days of my life (aside from wedding day and birth of the kids of course!). Just felt like it was fate with what had happened to DC etc. Everyone was on it to a tee, even Jake Taylor who struggled that season went in and totally bossed the midfield. Loved that squad and the togetherness that season of the whole club, felt like the DC thing really saw us come together as one for him. Crazy who badly needless decisions have totally undone that with a completely avoidable relegation.

Probably meant more to us Valiants being only the second promotion in 30 years, first time at the new Wembley and first Play off appearance since 1993.

Maybe we can experience it again in 12 months time!

Not sure if they are doing it this weekend but we had free parking at Wealdstone FC and they did a BBQ and had a bar etc, they were fantastic hosts and easy tube to Wembley. If they are doing it, whichever club they are hosting would highly recommend it to their fans.
