Think Lee Bell needs to start looking at what options he has on the bench as it's just not happening for Crewe. Maybe see if Charlie Kirk can conjure up something?

Did he not book Long for that? He should have. How embarrassing.

Aye I don't get that one, he gave a free kick to Crawley after the review which indicates the ref believed he dived so surely a booking would follow for that?

Sure he started with a drop ball rather than a free kick. Still should have been a booking, though.

Crawley once again almost played Crewe in there. Feels the only way at the moment Crewe get back into this is through Crawley shooting themselves in the foot.

Are you allowed to go back and book him for that with VAR? That’s the only reason I can think why he didn’t.

That’s how I interpreted it. I’m under the impression VAR can only change red cards, penalties and goals. I may be wrong.

Liam Kelly is really running the show now for Crawley. Crewe just can't get near him.

Famous last words but a Crawley second seems a lot more likely than Crewe levelling it up.

Crawley the last name to make up the 24 and join us in League 1. Well done Crawley.

By far the best team today. I did want Crewe up with being easier to get to, and thinking they would take 1 of the relegation places too.

Crewe have been awful from the start today.
IF they have a play off hangover they could be in big trouble next season

At least the Crewe fans would have got a nice tan from today, if there's any silver lining!

If you get to the L2 playoff final making sure you get the West End at Wembley is the one to do. That's now us Carlisle and Crawley in succession who've had that and won it.

Congrats to the Crawley fans on here though, wonderful achievement. Will be difficult in L1 but take some momentum into the season and you never know.

Well played, Crawley. Fully deserved- better team on the day by miles and I hope you prove a few people wrong next season too. Liam Kelly was man of the match by a long way - he absolutely ran the show.

A game too far for us - we've been badly affected by injuries and haven't really played well since March but this team should be very proud of the season they've had.

Ten goals scored and only one conceded, the definition of deserved playoff winners. Congratulations to Crawley.

Not a great performance by Crewe but I never saw them getting to the final at all so kudos to them for that.

Amazing season for Crawley really, I never had them down as promotion contenders. Hats off to Lindsay. Why did Swindon let him go?

Crawley deserved to win that, 100%. We looked like what we have been - toothless, unable to create chances, and easily shut out by an organised team. Congratulations Crawley, and good luck in League One. You deserve to be there.

This hurts.

Sky couldn't wait for the game to finish so they could talk about the Premier League :lac:

Sums up today really. The whole thing has been a non-event for Sky, from the kick off time to the shipping fans in and out.
