Fatty Evans face has hit a new shade of red I’ve never seen before after millers denied a stonewall pen on stroke of half time

Only interest I have in this game is new player watch. Pepple started and has looked a handful so far, seems very powerful runner and impressed me with his hold up too. Colclough / Dobra probably our best players so far.

Villa showing how far away from 'real football' academy teams are.

Press them slightly and they just panic. Blackpool must've been poor not to get past this lot.

Scoreline should be higher than 3-1. Enjoyed that half.

We scored early and have been poor ever since. Colchester's goal was criminal defending on our part, but the least they deserved.

Second half and it's like we've been told at HT not to bother this half.

Keeping our powder dry for the annual defeat at Carlisle on Saturday.

I mean, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

Colchester have been absolutely robbed tonight. We showed nothing until about 80 mins and then we score thanks to the keeper dropping the ball at our striker's feet.

Still, take the win. Quarter-finalists for the second time in 3 seasons.

Firthy hacked your account m8? Or on the shrooms? Terrible again but no surprise. Pointon a class above their kids, that said I think some of them were 12.

I think it's a bit of both. I don't rate Oduor at all, to be honest. Pointon linked up really well with Richards. There's a really good partnership blossoming there.

Lost 4-2 but actually played really well second half and should have scored 3 or 4 extra. But poor finishing and good goalkeeping conspired to knock us out.

Reinforcements definitely needed though as we're looking a bit thin on the ground now.

I know its what every fan says after being knocked out this competition, but it is a blessing in disguise so that we can now focus on the league after a decent journey in it.

They put a much stronger team out than us we made 8 changes from Saturdays starting 11 so I'm not too worried and we still probably should have got something out of the game can see why they are struggling in League one poor at the back when you get at them.

Birmingham are winning this, even with changes they had the likes of Lyndon Dykes and Alfie May in.

I predict IF and a big IF we beat Wrexham next month we will have an away tie at Bolton or Rotherham... as we always do!

Good performance from us. Pepple looks a monster and stayed true to the Joe quigley #27 by not scoring on debut. Think he will get a hatful for us.

The EFL will be begging this ends in a Birmingham vs Wrexham final.

Birmingham Vs Wrexham or Birmingham Vs Bolton would probably get the biggest crowd for the final. You would imagine both teams would take over 30k each to wembley.

We don't even play our game against Wrexham till 4th Feb and by then some teams may have even played there quarter final match. I'm not arsed if we lost 10 nil to Wrexham anyway as it's basically a reserve and youth team player selection from us and Wrexham back up players are people like Steve fletcher and Paul mullin.
